Speed up screen rotation? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I was curious if Rom developers had the ability to implement screen rotation speed tweaks? or if this was something that is hard coded into the framework of the code base?
I really find myself longing for faster screen rotations from portrait to landscape and back.
hate to keep comparing to the ipad but the iPad really does have a more favorable screen rotation for me at least which is why It would be lovely to have something that was scalable for people to choose what they want.

Stock rotation delay is 250ms. I use 25ms.

How exactly do you use a delay of 25ms? an app? editing a file? .. root required ?

10 times faster response time sounds great.
Please tell us how you tweaked it.

It has to be done when building a ROM as far as I am aware.

would love to know how you did this.
If it is something that has to be baked into a rom, then this is something that will actually make me consider unlocking my boot loader and loading up roms with this tweak.

Just realised that I was being stupid before. If you are using AOKP you just need to go to Settings > ROM control > General UI > Rotation delay.
To be fair though, I don't see much difference between the various settings as AOKP is already pretty smooth and slick anywho.

[SOURCE] Improve Touchscreen sensitivity on Galaxy S2 ICS

Galaxy s2 ICS touch sensitivity is too heavy and not smooth (some poppings(?))
here it is solution
it will make touchscreen sensitivity like gingerbread
it need galaxy s2 kernel opensource
open arch/arm/mach-exynos/mach-u1.c (in kernel source)
and find
#define MXT224_MOVFILTER_BATT
default value is 47
it change to 11 (gingerbread default) or 10
and apply this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161262
for better
and compile kernel
you can feel better touch sensitivity and smooth
it's like gingerbread's touch sensitivity

Is it possible to change a config file to access these benefits on a kernel where the change hasn't been entered at compile time?
EG if the mov_hysti fix wasn't compiled into the kernel you can modify /sys/devices/platform/s3c2440-i2c.3/i2c-3/3-004a/mov_hysti
Is there a config file for MXT244?
OP is right. It isn't that smooth. Using dolphin browse when I try to swipe right it pulls left..a lot of the time --_--

it's not a problem of sensitivity, but of filtering small movements
open your phone and type *#2664#
try to draw a very small line (like 3 or 4 pixels)... you can't
you'll either draw 10+ pixels or only 1
but after it "unlocks" (after you draw the first 10 pixels), the movement gets smooth again
(you can check the coordinates in the top)
touchscreentune fixes it, but it seems to be a dirty workaround (need to be reaplied everytime the phone is unlocked)... plus it costs $5, which I'm not willing to pay
can someone tell me the settings in siyah for improving the touch sensitivity?
Vitalj value: 3
Cm9/AOKP Galaxy S2 Settings touch screen sensitivity: 20

Big thanks to BeerBong and the BeerGang crew for an unbelievable rom.
Does the battery % number disappear in tablet mode on this version too? Hahaha.
Hmmm... doesn't seem like Tablet or Phone UI sticks.
I noticed it still has the flashing boot animation. To fix it, place the attached zip file in your /system/media folder (permissions: rw-r--r--).

Don't know what manel was building but mine is straight from source with only the DPI set to 220 and layout set to phablet. That properties file is the only thing that source doesn't have, but you can change this in the hybrid menu in settings.

Toggle Grid View / Notification Does Not Fit
Hi. I can't find the best settings so that my notification drop down and my grid view drop down will fit the screen. Both of the displays are cut-off partially.
I tried System Settings > Hybrid Settings > UIMode > I tried to set to Phone but it always stays at Phablet.
any other settings that I have missed?
thank you.

Try checking the layout setting for system ui, 360 is phone mode 600 is phablet.
To be honest, I found editing things in the hybrid settings a little flakey. I do all my DPI and layout changes manually by editing the /etc/beerbong/properties.conf file...much easier for me to figure out what's going on when something looks funky

Why does my s4 seem really choppy? I'm very aware of the things I download but I feel like my s4 lags. Im running my s4 on hyperdrive 7 and I'm wondering how I could improve my phone ... is there a possibility of me not flashing the rom correctly or is there something else?

Improvements in KitKat

Ok we know about the issues in kitkat for the z ultra.
The question is, have there been any actual improvements or bug fixes?
Please note things other than 'smoothness' and battery life, which vary wildly from user to user. I am looking for objectively verifiable bugfixes and improvements.

Yes, that and the fact that KitKat is much more light on resources now. It's like going from Vista to Win7 (on resources, not features or bugs). There are a couple of bugs, but Sony has stated that we'll receive an update next week.

yeah i don't see any bugfix list in there. And why would there be? from 4.3 to 4.4 it's all "new features", not "we're fixing the 4.3 bugs". If it were a 4.3.1 or something, then there would be bug fixes. Now, it's all new bugs Like not being able to play all albums of an artist in order (this is the only problem i will list here, because this is a bugfix thread, not a "list of bugs" thread )

The multitasking switcher in this ROM is slow to come up. Like pretty laggy.
So if anyone really hates the lag on the multitasking. Switching to ART definitely helps.
It seems the lag is because its waiting for a long press for the menu. Hmm. I tried disabling it with an xposed module but that doesn't help. Although apparently the s5 active is fine because that has all buttons needed.

It must be a fix they applied to the active ROM that doesn't make it wait so long.

I honestly think it's just down to the standard TW lag. When I have one or two apps open, there isn't any lag in opening the switcher. It's only when I have a ton open that it lags for me. You have no idea how much I want the GPE S5 to come out so we can get CM and everything else working.
