hmm, i'll take a note on that,
it will not work with other ROM's because the modification files were from creed's ROM,
i'll try and get it working as soon as possible with other ROMS
Don't worry about that I went. I went back to creed ROM. But the gprs((edge) icon reverts back to stock. How to make it stick.

i have made the zip from "ultimate online kitchen"..... to make the notification bar transparent....and changed the barrey icons etc.....
i flashed the UOT everything went correct.... but NOTIFICATION BAR is not transparent..... anybody knows how to do that... on STOCK GB ROM....

Regarding UOT Kitchen questions/problems you have to ask in their official forum -> [KITCHEN][01/22] UOT Kitchen (Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen) version 4.0
They can help you with your problem if you have used their kitchen.
Also, from what i know in some roms, even custom stock roms (odexed or deodexed) transparency is not working, but to be sure you have to ask in the mentioned forum.

You need to deodexed your rom for enabling transparency.

Transparency isnt supported in 2.2 (froyo), you can manually edit the img in system.ui using gimp or photoshop

Get the system files SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and open them up with 7zip and start replacing the png files. After you are done make a flashable zip and flash it through recovery. If you can't make the zip yourself then use UOT kitchen by not selecting any mods but just uploading the system files and it will make a zip for you.

If it's a theme for SGY...i think you can do it to get ICS style....
perhaps, you can edit systemUI.apk, lidrois-res.apk and framework-res.apk by yourself, if you want to get your own ICS style...
how about the transparent status bar?
Be careful about system apks
Dudes remember do not replace apk directly using root explorer.
I replaced status bar apk with my edited apk and what happened was that I lost my
Status bar. :crying:
Fortunately I had a zip of repencis so I flashed via cwm to
repencis rom.
Now its fine

easiest way is just restore fonts throught the app u used to change the font

Flash the file attached with CWM recovery. Don't mind about the file name or the text that appears when installing the zip on CWM.
