I'm not sure what's happening, but every time I use Astro to move files, after a while they vanish.
I've searched and not found an answer, I don't know if it's Astro or a phone issue.
Xperia S using stock NL .73 ROM.
I've tried moving using copy and move, into new folders and existing ones, if I look straight after they are there, after a while they're gone.
Not got anything installed that I can think of like A/V etc.
Any ideas?

No idea but it has happened to me on occasion with astro, on unrooted stock .67 (stupid o2)
I use a different file browser now because i kept losing pictures. Shame really because i really like astro.
Try using ES File Explorer I've used this for ages and never had a problem, it's a free one from the play store

Tested ES, so far that's not deleted anything!

Another good thing about ES File Explorer is that you can connect to your box account and batch upload, plus you can connect to your pc via wifi

I never had files missing from the phone, but from the Windows Explorer after moving them on the phone.
For example, when I renamed the Video folder to Videos, nothing showed up. When moving the files back to the Video folder, they immediately showed up again.

For mine, I have moved my apks to the SDcard (for those that can be moved) and sometimes the apks will go missing. They will only re-appear when I do a reboot. Strange.

For those of you who would like to run Audiogalaxy but seem to have issues connecting:
- download the hosts file from /system/etc
- open it in a text editor
- remove the references (there are often 2) to Audiogalaxy
- replace!
Seems that most of the hosts files used in custom ROMs have Audiogalaxy listed from their filesharing days.
I just noticed this fix is detailed elsewhere, but I thought I would throw it in here for the fascinate owners. Feel free to move this if it needs to go elsewhere.
Happened to me as well. Looked in my host files and found nothing. So I got adfree. Updated the databases, then reverted and rebooted. Worked like a charm.

I also had trouble with audiogalaxy on custom roms. I just went back to stock... I'll have to try this. Audiogalaxy is really important to me, I don't have a single mp3 actually stored on my phone.

^^^Give it a shot! Make sure you reboot! mine did not take effect until I did. I am a huge audiogalaxy fan so this is huge to me too.

what ROM are you on? and how did you open the host file? when i opened it on the phone via text-editor, i saw no audiogalaxy, but did see it on the computer.
Can someone please post the apk for this app. I can't download from the market for some reason!

I copied and pasted to sd card then fixed it and moved it back with file explorer. Make sure you reboot though.
Anyone know if there is a way to keep the songs playing? After one song it stops for me. NVM, got it.

I just recently switched from a Droid Charge to the Rezound. There was an easy way on the Charge to see all your files and downloads in a nice File Folder. Is there anything like that on the Rezound or something from the market I can download?
Thanks
jwalker007
astro file explorer, or es file explorer. If you want to see your download folder, open your app drawer and click on downloads.
I like ES the most but if you're rooted then Root explorer is the way to go.
Thanks I'll give it a try.

Anyone have issues with these? I loaded es and two days later my phone started boot looping and no way out of it. Kind of worried to load one

Unless you did something while having root access in ES, there's really not any way that the program could cause your boot looping. I always use Root Explorer, but I've used ES before and never had any troubles.
I use Astro file manager from the market. It's always worked flawless for me.

Hi, Im pretty new at the whole rooting thing but I believe I have most of the simple parts down. I am running the stock thunderbolt rom with S-off and rooted, also debloated. Everything has been running smoothly but when I flash new ROMs to test them out, I've noticed each time a new one is flashing the text when it is flashing displays how much space my SD card has left on it, this number has diminished drastically sense I flashed my first ROM. I was wondering if this is normal or should I be concerned, looking for a fix for this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Are you backing up everyone when you flash another? Takes up alotta space
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA
When I started flashing, I backed up a lot, but sense then I've deleted all but the 3 I mainly use.

Download and install esfile explorer.
Run goto menu ,settings about 2/3 down the page check root explorer, I leave mount system unchecked until I need to write to it.
Go back to main page
Click menu then manager , then sd card analyst. It will scan sdcard and sort by size largest down.
Hope this helps.
Warning: Flashing Roms while under quillie suit can be hazardous to you health.
Thanks for your Service.

That worked! Looks like HTC sync was making duplicate copies of my music each time I was syncing it. Deleted Music and installed doubletwist, problem solved!

I see this file in the root of my sdcard using ES File Explorer and don't know what it is. I did have the EBay app on my phone but I uninstalled it awhile back. Is it safe to delete this file?
It sounds like a log from that app, so it should be. To bee sure, read it and see. My sd card is full of old crap from uninstalled apps.

So idk how many ppl are into hiphop but jay z and samsung collaborated and created the magna carta holy grail app. To give his new album out to the first 1mil samsung galaxy s3, s4 & note 2 users. I got the app and took my lunch at 12am. 3rd shift and it wouldnt load at all. Just kept doing the circle thing. I was wondering if anyone was actually able to download the album. None of my friends were able to either. It just did the same thing mine did.

Didn't work for me, or I'm missing something. Says it downloaded. Had a progress bar and all. Even downloaded individual songs after that. Won't play in the app, and I've used a file explorer and dug through every crevice in my device. Can't find a thing.
Please advise, loyal Hov supporters.
P.S. been a fan since Reasonable Doubt, although if you're an old school fan, I'd recommend checking out the 9-minute freestyle with Big L. Style is different and he murders it. Check it out.

edit= u could check "my files" then "music".. could be there

Same thing happened to me. Says it's downloaded, but there isn't a trace of it on my device.
I even opened the Samsung Music Player, and nothing.
When I go back to the app to try and download each song it freezes, then force closes.
my players didn't recognize the files until I moved them and rebooted
Note Duece
I couldn't find them for awhile so I downloaded a media scanner app and ran it then it showed up in my music player.

Finally got it to download.
After numerous failed attempts I went to Application Manager > Downloaded > Jay Z Magna Carta
I then clicked on Clear Data & Clear Cache.
I re-opened the app and it allowed me to re-download the album.
In hopes of finding the files, they were still not present.
I then opened ES File Explorer and viewed all files and folder based on the date they were modified.
I erased the Music Folder, along with all folders within scard0/Android/data that were dated today and associated with Samsung in any way.
There was even a folder (can't remember the entire name), but it was in regards to docs and something about PIN files do no edit.
I erased that as well.
I then restarted the app, re-downloaded the album, and all of the files were added to sdcard0/Music

Had similar problems. I tried downloading it for almost an hour. I just ended up downloading the album from "another source" & popping it onto my sd card. Took all of 5 minutes. Sad, real sad.
