Headphones! - Motorola Photon 4G

All, I have my Motorola bluetooth stereo headphones. Cost me like $60.00 and I love them. They are over the ear and fit comfortable.
I have my Beat's by Dre' for $300.00 and they are OK. Blew a bunch of money.....
Went to Target last night and got in-ear Skullcandy from JIB for $9.99 and I LOVE them!!! deep base, clear sound, and they fit comfortable for someone that does not like inserting crap in my ear!!! Im not a fan of wired anything BUT, these things are sweet! and if your going out and don't need them, ball them up and put in your pocket!

Agree. I have some as well and I love them. Especially since they have different sized plugs to put over the ear buds (the silicone covers or whatever the hell they are that make them stay in your ears). I have tiny ears and most ear buds won't stay in and start to hurt, but these are nice.

What I like most? $9.99! (and yea, 2 sets of plugs!)

If you want the best sounding earbuds around, try these. http://www.overstock.com/Electronic...oise-Reduction-Earphones/6053065/product.html
I was at a Marshall's and there was a pair that were opened. I plugged them into my Photon, which I use CM9 Music on and I was blown away. The bass response is seriously insane. I've had other cheaper ones that I have thought were pretty damn amazing and even sounded better than Beats in ears but these take the cake by far. If you check Marshall's you can probably find em. They were $9.99 there. I saw them at Wal-mart for around $20.

ML, those look nice as well. It just shows that you dont have to get bank loan for a quality item, which is why I posted this for all here!

Exactly. They so incredible. I also got another pair that are developed in Sweden and have the Punisher logo on them. I know it sounds cheesy but they are amazing and not expensive at all either. They aren't the cheesy ones you'd buy for a kid. They are these ones here. Also got them for $8.99 at Marshall's http://www.superherostuff.com/punis...ear-comfort-headphones.html?itemcd=headbudpun

big skullcandy fan. all I've used since my first skullcandys. 1st pair was stolen. 2nd pair got lost after letting brothers borrow. 3rd pair I've had for three years and still work! all other head phones i have used after about a month they start sounding staticy and right side blows. also have a white pair that wad give to me. 3 yr old pair and white ones are the (ink'd) model. i just got blue pair and a pink pair (jibs)for my girlfriend for 5 bucks together from skullcandys ebay page.... i will never use anything except skullcandy

Thanks for the info everyone. I am a big fan of klipsch headphones. They are expensive but sound great. I really liked the jvc marshmallows for exercise. $20 from walmart.
Do the skullcandy headphones also have treble or are they just crazy base with no real definition? Thanks everyone,

I have a Free EQ app and they work well together. Hip Hop I set it to Hip Hop and I get bass. For ZZ Top I set it to Heavy Metal (I know they are Blues!) and I get treble. I have classical, Jazz, and a few more, but again, the few I tried sound great. Oh, and there is a custom setting that gives you 5 different ranges to adjust to your liking? And at $9.99.............

I also have a nice pair of studio monitors that I love from Philips O'Neil. Great sound and again you don't get that ear fatigue.

A huge selling point for me is long term wearability. Who cares if it is the best sound ever created if you can not wear them for more than 10 minutes at a time because your ears ache.
Both of these headphones can easily be listened to for a couple of hours with no problem and still deliver a really good sound.

I love them- for under 60$, they are the best phones I've found...I've been through a few different sets, and have returned them all, until these.
And I run them through the Fiio E5 amplifier.
http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E5-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B001P9EQH8
This little thing is awesome. If you don't use one of these, get one! I can't believe the difference it makes in my listening enjoyment. On headphones, or through a 3.5mm to my car stereo, this thing gives a richer sound, more bass- (lots, if you turn boost on) and a lot more volume. I used to have to turn my car stereo up pretty loud to get the volume I wanted out of my portable sources, and it would mean that I'd have to deal with some degree of electronic hiss- That's gone. Also, sometimes I like to listen to music at ridiculous, ear damaging volume- and I would turn the volume all the way up on my Ipod or tablet, and it would be loud, but not really loud... Now, with the amp-I can turn it up till it hurts... and I'm afraid to go louder... It's awesome.
I bought a 3.5mm Monster cable with these , and I gotta say I LOVE the sound now..
What do you guys use?
Koss
I use Koss Porta Pro. I love wearing these headphones. Excellent sound and cheap.
I use Koss Pro DJ100's, which I bought at Best Buy a few months ago when it was on sale for $45-50. I love them. The sound is very detailed, with good depth, bass and soundstage. You really have to run them through an amp, though, otherwise they don't sound as good. I run them through a Fiio E7.
I also use Monster Turbines for earphones when I dont' want to carry my full sized cans around.
For portability I use the Sansa Clip+ with Etymotic ER4Ps. At home I use ER4S or AKG K702 with my HeadAmp Pico DAC/amp.
Sent from MyGlacier.
I have a now ancient Plantronics Pulsar 590E Bluetooth stereo headset that works well. There is a slightly noticeable audio lag when watching movies, but it's not enough to be a problem for me. Amazingly, this last week, I was able to get factory replacement ear pads when mine disintegrated from age.
Bye.

That amp he mentioned is decent for IEMs but if you want to properly power over the ear headphones you may want something a little bit better.
I went with the Pico brand because I couldn't find anything else that could have that much power AND output a flat frequency response.

I had a pair of those, they were nice.
Lots of serious eadphones around here!
I nearly spent the cash for the Klipsch image one phones today... my kicker cans have good bass, but aren't overly "punchy"... i listened to the KI1`s, and I liked th bass response but I wonder if the punch would become overbearing on certain music styles without constant e.q. tweaking...

Tried these too. Head crushers. Can't fall out for sure but I swear my skull was pulverized.
Not many stereo BT headsets I've not tried and so far, all but 1 have gone back.
I"ve been using these for the last couple of weeks since I bought them on sale for $30 in a one day deal. So far so good, I think they sound and fit great and are supposedly sweat resistant.
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHB6000-28-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B004KPLS5M
My one concern is that they block out too much sound and that might cause a safety issue if you don't hear an oncoming car while running.
The other negative thing is that they have a lot of small buttons and it's near impossible to hit the right one while running. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.
Is the jabra sport not even out yet? All I see for it is ads.

I've been using the S9s for at least three years now... Best Bluetooth stereo I've ever bought. I only enjoy them for working out at the gym, my head is small so when I run, the S9s bounce a bit and can be annoying - I'd be interested in buying the Jab Sports. ( been using studio beats for running, great but not sweat resistant at all =/
**Edit: I have the original S9s not the HD version, might try those if the fit is different.
By far the most disappointing headset ive owned were the s10hd by moto..the s9s were alot better and louder..ive had problems with my first set of jaybird freedom jf3s,no range and disconnects...but after swapping them out i get 20feet range and super loud and clear bass..plus they never fall out from running or lifting.id recommend the jf3 freedom, just gotto find a properly working set.

Not really true. I just looke up the reviews on Amazon - and I agree with the most recent review, which was 4 stars. You'll notice the same minor concerns that I expressed above about the button size and isolation. Actually - with more use on the streets, isolation isn't as good as I thought - but is actually safer. I can pump up the volume to hear my source, but will still hear the sound of an oncoming car.
These aren't perfect, but they're working fine for me. Most of the bad reviews I see on Amazon seem to regard a failure - which I might someday experience of course. In which case I would come back here and report the hardware problem.
But so far so good. These are working better for me than my much loved Jabra BT8010's - which I still use in the office because of the convenience of being able to remove the 2nd stereo earbud. But fit for working out and sound quality are better on these, no doubt. There's not much bass, but it's there - and the sound is pretty clean/clear.
Best wireless headset I have tested is the Sony mw600 excellent range

Ear Phones

So the other day I tried listening to some tunes on my Amaze with the HTC ear phones that came in the box.
Holy crap. For a phone with such nice build quality, it was a complete shock to find out how disappointing the ear phones were. The control buttons on the HTC ear phones are nice, but those I can do without. The sound quality is simply god awful compared to the in-ear earphones that came with my old Samsung Galaxy S. No matter how much I tweaked with PowerAmp and DSP Manager settings, I couldn't get the sound output to be satisfactory, so I'm wondering if you guys could share with me some suggestions for a pair of nice ear phones to plug into my Amaze since I'll be using this handset as a music player pretty often.
I listen to a variety of genres, but most of my playlist consists of progressive trance so I'm looking for both bass and clarity.
Let me know what your suggestions are, thanks
I use Skullcandy Ink'd headphones for my Amaze 4G for music and on my Nook Tablet when watching stuff on netflix/hulu. They sound great, and have good bass and clarity, but that's just my opinion, so your mileage may vary.
You can get them in regular headphones or one with an inline button/mic for phone calls
I bought these ones yesterday http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M8SAJ4/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details according to the reviews are really good, once I got em in my hands I will update this post
Ok, a thread I can contribute to
Alright, so I'm a bit of an audiophile, and if you don't mind spending a decent amount of change take these headphones into consideration:
http://www.shure.com/americas/produ...nes/se-models/se215-sound-isolating-earphones
They are 100$, BUT have one of the best in ear seals I have ever seen on headphones, a wrap around cable that you place behind the ear that you don't even notice when walking / running / working out, detachable cable so if your cable dies, you can order a new one for cheap and just pop off the bud's and reattach them to the new cable, AMAZEing noise cancellation (I can't hear a thing thats going around me on a busy bus), flat frequency response (which is good for a DJ / Producer like myself, but also for you because you can go into DSP manager to add as many Db's or take away them as you please to get more BASS), it comes with tons of bass out of the box thanks to the good in ear seal, and finally, the cable is kevlar lined, so you can treat it like crap unlike most skullcandys that I used to own and it wont break
Just my two cents, also please excuse the run-on

Opinions on Bluetooth Headphones?

Just wanted to know if anyone was using bluetooth headphones on their Rezound? Any recommendations in the $50 range? How does the DSPManager sound with them? I need something that will get me through an 8 hour work day without having to charge off and on. Thanks in advanced!
I have a pair of Motorola Bluetooth stereo headphones that work great. They are the behind the ear model. I've had them for about a year now and the battery still holds about a 10 hour charge.
I don't use the equalizer with them on this set, but on my old phone (Samsung Charge) the Bluetooth sound was not controlled by the settings for the amp
Motorola S305
I actually haven't used them with my Rezound yet, but I have a pair of the Motorola S305s as well and they worked great with my Incredible. Very durable, great sound quality, great battery life, reliable Bluetooth connection.
Best Buy's Rocketfish RF-MAB2 works great! $59.99 Also used these with my retired Incredible..

This. they are pretty awesome.
I have the Motorola SD-10HDs and they work great aswell. DSPManager works when you set the bluetooth settings. My headphones are also sweat proof.
Awesome! Thanks for the response everyone! Any thoughts on any bluetooth earbuds? I tend to find them more comfortable to listen to but I'm open to checking out the suggestions everyone made.
Gotta wait for my Rezound to come back from repair. Hopefully they're fixing my headphone output but if they don't, I'll look into bluetooth headphones as an option.
If you haven't already bought, check out the MW600 by sony. I can get a solid 6-8 out of them and they are pretty comfortable. Not to mention you can use them with any headset you want.

These are amazing headphones, I ended up breaking mine by accident and ended up getting the Jabra Halo set (also sold at Bestbuy). They are a bit more pricy but they were worth it to me. They fold up real nice and hold up a really great charge, used them for 3 days without charging, and they have some great sound quality to them, also has some cool touch-like controls on it for volume, skipping tracks and making/taking calls. Call quality is pretty nice too
I have a set of these:
I got these for a penny + shipping from Tmobile (it was on slickdeals.net it was incorrectly priced and was only up for a few hours) and I couldn't be happier. Glad I finally got rid of the cord. I can listen to music, answer phone calls, adjust volume, skip songs. Simply amazing.

I bought these at Best Buy..
JayBird- Freedom Bluetooth Earbud Headphones
Great sound for music and while talking. Extra earbuds to find the right fit. Holds about a 8-10 hr charge while using. Days on standby. Only problem is the rubber piece that covers up the usb port is hard to get opened if you have big fingers. Other than that a great pair of headphones for under $100.

I've had some Motorola rokr s9's sine they came out. They are still great.probably hard to find now though. I'd go with some s9hd's because they match the rezounds color scheme, red/black.

I actually hove those in my ears right now - well the S4's anyway. How are the buttons in the S4A working out for you?
As for the OP, I've always had luck with DealExtreme. Even the real cheap two or three dollar ones.

Do the Monoprice ear buds come with optional inner ear pieces? I almost never can use the stock sizes of these types of ear phones.. small ears.. Thanks in advance.

From what I've looked up, your assessment is a tad off IMO.. $60-$130 is not fairly inexpensive by far to me lol..
skullcandy makes good cheap headphones, and theyre alot more stylish depending on your needs or wants.
I got this headset and was very impressed with now music sounded, have only made1 call and it was just ehh. When I got then from amazon. About 3 months ago they were only 30 bucks. They also won editors choice for Bluetooth from consumer report or CNET

I know the price range is high, but this is what I'm running: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00101UHS8 absolutely beautiful, crisp sound. After 40+ hours of burn in the highs, mids, and lows have separated out and are less recessed. Raving reviews at Headfi to boot
I use some beat replicas. they seem to work pretty good. i have had some for 4 months so far and havent broken on me yet and dont sound far off the real ones.

Really makes me want to give these cheap philips a try.
Bought these at family dollar for $4.99 + tax. I use them for work. They sound good and are comfortable. Cheap but good headphones. They don't look bad either.

You should check your local Sony store, I bought these $50-60 headphones for $20 and they are awesome quality for the price. They were "obsolete" from the newer model. I'm pretty cheap, usually I buy headphones around the $7 margin but these were basically a steal! I was impressed at how rich the sound quality was and its even fuller with the integrated beats audio. The buds are not grainy or just treble screaming and very comfortable in the ears.
I also suggest cheap skull candy's. Never go with that atomic or nuke brand. Even klipsch (could always check online at like www.frys.com )
