No need to have the device to pull a one click apart. A hex editor will take care of it.

nope. pulled the last few apart. leaks just aren't that popular i guess with all the BS ATT has been throwing out lately. Not sure why you said you would have to have the device in order to pull it apart though??? i think i might be on to something here. lol.
P.S.- Something has been going around in the last leaks with bricking phones. not just this device. but some others i guess. people are probably just scared.
well guess were not gonna get to try out this leak. smh

When I said I didn't have the device, I was referring to actually flashing it. I'm not going to pull apart every leak and spoon-feed it to people in the community. You guys are big boys. I think you can handle it.
When I create something (very rarely), it's because I want to use it on my own device. Since I don't have this device, I have no desire to spend time pulling apart a leak for it.

No - thanks to the Superbrick fiasco (See stickies in the Note section), no one is touching ICS leaks for any Exynos device any more. Well, at least not the kernels.
Also, Touchjizz on ICS drove a lot of people over to AOSP firmwares even before it became evident that I777 leaks were affected by Superbrick too. Once I reverse engineered the microphone swapping to allow us to use I9100 sources and firmwares without even dropping in libaudio, I777 leaks basically became irrelevant except for NFC - and hell, on AOSP firmwares, it turns out we didn't even need the leaks for NFC. (CM9 for I777 uses Maguro PN544 firmware, not I777 leak firmware.)
I'm helping Shoman with the modem though.
Heres the Modem for you guys that want to try it. Dont ask me for the rest of the leak. I've already trashed it and emptied my trash bin. Its gone. I refuse to touch these leaks anymore.

1.6 is overkill, plus if you do want one badly, I would suggest you start reading some programming dummies and bibles how to make one yourself.
your question is more like an demand request. least chip in $$$ for the developers, they might let loose, and make one to brick your phone.
this are my thoughts and suggestions after reading your respond!!

Your probably right though, it is overkill but its just nice to have to show off ;-)
what the point of showing off, when in the middle showing bling bling, and DIES...that will be a total embarrassment... wouldnt you say oh ****...hides in the corner...
Early in development of JACs kernel (Maybe in the beginning of his original kernel thread) there were test pushing the .3 & .4 marks that ended up frying/bricking phones. I'm pretty sure there is a reason why no one has posted anything as "stable" past .3 or even .299 for that matter.
Im not sure how to do it our even how to read it, but I was under the impression that the cpu max is in a # value form. Worst case scenario plug in a #... What's the worst that can happen? :ekk: lol

I think that's a great start, I doubt it'll be very long til we have something solid enough to use daily. I mean with rooted phones we're always dealing with something right? lol Either way that looks awesome to see it on an AT&T GSII.
Im excited to see 4.0 ported to our phones. This is one of the biggest jumps in Android history (namely because 3.0 wasnt for phones) and this is going to be a nice change. I like the stock look and colors a lot.

You've been misinformed. We can flash an i9100 rom untouched. The only thing that needs "ported" from the i9100 to the i777 is modem, capacitive button configuration for the most part.
You're probably referring to the mic issue that team hacksung is having issues with. Once Samsung comes out with a build all of that is irrelevant.

So you're saying that once the devs have I9100 ICS source code, that it will be easy to modify it and build the kernel to work on I777?
Or are you saying that 4.0.1 will work on I777 with 3.x.x kernel?
I don't think so. If I understand correctly, I777 ICS source needs to drop before the roms can be ported to our phone.

That's what I'm saying. You're thinking too much - the i9100 and i777 are EXACTLY the same besides two things: modem & button configuration.
Entropy created Hellraiser for this reason. He's using his own kernel because it's easier to just slap on something that works (his kernel in this case) rather than port all of the custom-made i9100 kernels out there.
But it doesn't matter. We'll have a couple options I'd imagine, or even more. CM9 will finalize a beta release soon after this leak and they've already got an i777 build coming our way. Not only that, but other devs will create their own soup.
Damn you! Just when my anxious desire to have ICS on my phone begins to finally subside a little, you go and tease me with this sort of crap!
Hopefully, for my sanity's sake, it won't be too much longer.

Hello
I would like to ask what will it take to have CM9 in this lovely phone? I've been trying the CM9 from the International SG2 and the main issue is the no audio in calls, as far as I know, it will take the Kernel sources from this i777 to be available to get it going, is that something that owners of this phone can help with? My programming skills are as good as driving a jet fighter... but I have the will to help. Let me know what it takes and I'll help.

If you want to help then break into Samsung headquarters, hack into their computers and get the kernel sources.
Also while you are there steal a copy of their development build of ICS for the i777 so we can steal the audio libs to fix the call audio problem.
Ouch .. Its gonna take a lot more patience from you.. There has been dozen of these "type" threads.. All of which get locked... BECAUSE this question has been asked and answered.. For the love of all that is good, please go to the general section and have a little 1 on 1 time, you may find a thread titled USEABLE CM9 THREAD.. If you had opened that up you could have helped out here on XDA in a huge way by not starting another thread that needs to be closed again.

Samsung is good at ignoring that - look at the Infuse AT&T Gingerbread release, still no source.
OP, I got an idea, Why dont you message Cyanogen himself and ask him when the sources for the Galaxy S II are going to be released, since he works at Samsung... ask him to leak the source.. and finally ask him for an ETA On when we can expect a first build

Good Lord, if CM9 worked on our phones, we would have threads/walkthroughs/videos of it for everyone. Since we dont, its not read yet. When will it be ready you ask? When the CM team releases it.
MIUI has always been my favorite rom and I was wondering if anybody has ported it to work on the Verizon model or if they plan on doing so?

I'd love to see it as well, but haven't heard anything just yet. Most of our AOSP roms have a few bugs yet, but many are quite stable. Since MIUI is AOSP-based now, we could see it sometime if there's a willing dev out there.
If you want something like it right now, try the Avatar rom in the development forum. It's basically a CM10.1 rom with the MIUI theming engine.

I'll look into it, maybe it'll hold me over until MIUI comes our way.

I have been working on this myself, or was I should say, until I fried my S4 and had to buy a new one.
I've got it booted, it definitely runs, just need to get DATA working.
If anyone wants to throw their hat in the ring, by all means, lets do it. I miss MIUI.
EDIT- Alright, well, I'm working on building a fully functioning MIUI now. I need testers, however. Just be aware, you test at your own risk and I am not responsible in any way for anything that happens to your phone. PM me if you'd like.

I think you can find multiple definitions of "fried" in the no-fault disclaimer in any MIUI thread.

It's not as easy as "soft or hard brick."
The radio fried, whether or not this was a software or a hardware issue was never determined, as the radio never worked again after ODIN/NANDROID backups were restored. That said, it was likely hardware.

Sorry, I meant the Rom. If it is, you'll have a PM asking for a dl link.

Oh, lol.
Well the ROM definitely runs, I will upload it shortly after I finish rebuilding it. I need to test the data.

Actually I've decided I'm not going to do this. After too many problems with getting booted and what not, and once it's running, things not functioning correctly, I can't afford to break my device.
There are directions for porting in the internationa galaxy s4 thread, which will at least get it booted. The rest is up to you.

Need to get rid of the ugly roaming indicator off crap. And the signal bars aren't reporting correctly. But I've got reliable data, phone, and text.

Well, yes. MIUI was one of them. I was asked by Jonestown if I could give it a go. It wasn't too bad but it was tricky compared to other aosp ports.
As you will notice in my updater script when I post it... I don't like miui. Not even a little bit. I worked on miui v4 and hated that. And now in v5 and I still hate it.
But hating it doesn't mean I can't make it mostly work. I just probably won't put the same amount of time into it's support I do the interesting stuff.
