[Q] Battery charging issue - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hey all, I recently started having a battery issue with my prime in which at first it wouldn't even boot unless plugged in. After a full day of leaving it alone while plugged in it would finally bOot. Now it seems when my battery gets to 70percent it will shut down.
My prime is unlocked and was using stock .21 so I installed virtuous .15 and still have the same issue. Only thing I can think of is when I installed aokp I did a reset on the battery stats.
Right now it's been charging all day and is only at 87 percent.
I have tried charging it while connected to the dock but right now just trying the prime alone.
Any ideas?

You can try to restore a backup from before you reset the battery stats, and see if that helps.

Unfortunately for me I already deleted that back because it all seemed fine and well. It has been charging prime only for 12 hours and only at 91 percent. So I am hoping to see what happens when it hits full

[Q] Charging stuck at 99%

Hey all,
I'm on Nero 5 with my Vibrant and was having some pretty dismal battery life, so I emptied the battery and charged it back up. Only problem is, its been plugged in for 9 hours now, and the battery isn't fully charged (the phone is off). I booted into clockwork and wiped battery stats and restarted the phone, says 99 percent in Android. I powered off and did a battery pull, and now it's off and (still) charging.
Any reason why this happens or how I can fix it?
Im having a similar problem. When I fully charge my phone it will tell me its 100% till I unplug it and it will only show 97%. I can keep it plugged in for an hour after and it will still say 97%. I did a few battery wipes and still the same. I just recently flashed bionix v and then the dragon kernal and that's when it started. So I would also like some input on these small issues

[Q] Battery level

First off, picked up 2 GTabs yesterday and thanks for all of the work everyone has done to make these tablets better. And my first question of probably many.
Our Battery level indicators have not gotten back up to 100%. Yesterday when I was flashing the roms they would get to 97%, and after charging over night they showed 96%. Didn't know if there was a way to calibrate the level there or not.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if this will work but, if you can get into recovery mode:
Press and Hold down "Volume Up" Button and then press Power Button until you see a messege on the upper left hand corner that says something like.
"Detect a recovery Key pressed"
From the recovery menu, select ADAVNCED, then WIPE BATTERY STATS.
I've never had an issue with the battery on my GTAB but maybe it will help.
Good luck
That's very helpful, thanks! I was havng the 96%/97% maximum charge issue as well.
Running TNTLite 4.2.3.
Going to go ahead and drain the tabs down today and let them charge to full overnight one last time. If they still give me trouble I'll try the battery stats wipe.
Thanks.
I have the same thing happen to me after I flashed.
It only charges to 97%
I tried wiping the battery stats but it still only charges to 96/97
running vegan 5.1.1
I'm having the same issue. Hmm
VEGAn 1.00 beta 5.1.1
Hi everyone.
Had this exact same issue.
was using ZEAM for my launcher,
once I switched to Launcher Pro, my battery level now shows 100% when the charge light is green.
Not quite sure how this is related to ZEAM, but I used ZEAM for my launcher on both TNT and VEGAn Tab and had the battery level issue - would never charge past 96 or 97%.
hope this helps!
running launcher pro and vegan...still nothing past 97%...have wiped battery stats etc..
Mine only shows 96-97%, but actual battery life is excellent.
Success! Sort of. I'm experiencing the same issue, but I've been able to get the battery to display 100% but charging it up to full, unplugging and using for a few minutes and then plugging the tablet back in. This trick doesn't work every time but I have been able to get to 100% a few times. This expirement was performed on Vegan tab and Pershoot's February 18th kernel.
Weird... Mine is doing this too (vegan rom). My battery life is excellent but I'm still obsessing over that last 3%... At least its good to know is not just me.
Has anyone found a fix yet? I'll probably try draining the battery and charging it; we'll see what happens.

Corresponding values Volt-percent are hard coded in software (100% - 4.2V per cell).
Trying to top off your battery, charging circuit may malfunction and battery may be overcharged. Anything more then that and lipo (battery) will degrade chemistry very rapidly.
97% is about 4.15 - you are not losing much capacity, but your battery will hold much more cycles in a long term run.
Mine used to charge up to about 96%, now it never goes above 94%. I'll try wiping battery stats in CWM and see if that changes.

[Q] Battery wont Charge

Hey Guys.... So I picked up my Thunderbolt on the 18th and everything has been going ok except until this morning. My TB died last night, so I plugged it in and turned it back on. I left it on the charger overnight. I wake up this morning and it is only at 41%. So I am like WTF? so I reset the phone leave it on the charger for another hour, and now it is currently reading 29%.... Omgoodness. Has anyone else experienced this with their Thunderbolt??????
My problem is not nearly as severe, I can not get it past 97% no matter how long I leave it plugged in.
If you're rooted you could try clearing the battery stats. This is usually not recommended (at least not to do often) but it has to be better than 29% battery.

[Q] Battery does not charged upto 100%

No matter how long my g tablet is plugged in,
it does not charged until the battery meter says 100%.
It always get charged upto 96%.
Is there anyway to fix this problem?
Is it something that can be fixed by clearing batterystat.bin?
If that so, can I do that using adb? Thank you.
khunny,
This is pretty common with the G-Tablets.
You can run it down all the way and then go into CWM and tell it to reset the battery stats.
But often as not that doesn't change much.
My personal advice (I have one that often does the same) is just ignore it. If it's 96%
you've got no problem and at less than 10% you better be thinking "charge."
Rev
Mine only charges up to 96% as well. Gonna try to reset it in CWM after it drains. Hopefully it works, cuz while having it only go to 96% isn't a huge deal its something I would like t be able to fix.
search is your friend
It is normal. Gtab treats 8.3V as 96%. In theory, 2cell li-ion battery 100% of charge is 8.4V. But, such battery does not like to be overcharged (it will shortened battery life).
mine did charge to 100 percent before installing vegan 5.1 supplement? Now it charges to 98 no matter how long i leave it plugged in? There has to be some way to alter the battyer stats to show 100 percent if it is??
Mine finally got to 100%
I had this tablet only for a week or so. I have installed Vegan 5.1.1. I noticed the battery only charged to 95% or 96%. I have drain the battery all the way, and then "Reset Battery Status" in CWM. But, it did not work the 1st time. Then, I drained it again. After the tablet shuts off automatically, I would push the power button to turn it on a few times to drain it more. Then, I reset the battery status in CWM, AND, I "Fixed File Permissions" right after the battery status reset. Then, reboot the device, and it reached 100%
Note: I drained the battery at work, tried to turned it back on about 3 times after it shuts itself off. After I got home, a few hours later, I turned it back on one more time, and the battery showed 2% and stayed on for quite a while. Not sure why that is. Hope this helps.

Heating/Charging problem

I've been using my Verizon Galaxy Note II since mid June (I got it brand new). It's rooted and always has been, however a couple days ago I was running Jelly Beans build 21 and I ended changing to the HTC Sense Recent apps (I don't think this is a problem, but a coincidence) and after a day or so I plugged my phone into the charger before I went to sleep. However I realize it wasn't charging. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back it and it didn't charge. I changed outlets and no charge so I restarted my phone and it started charging. Ever since then however, my phone has been dying quickly. Maybe losing 20% battery life within an hour. It also charges really slowly now, too. I used to get from 0% to 100% within 1.5 hours to 2. Now I'm at 25% and it says it'll take 3hr 45m to reach 100.
I don't know how to fix it. What heats up is not the battery, but the GPU/CPU area. I changed ROMs and it didn't fix. I also used ODIN to go back to unroot/stock which SEEMED to have fixed it (I lost 3% in 40min compared to 3% in 5 or 7m). But after using it for a little while, it seems to happen again. I then re-rooted and restored from back up to the new rom (not JB 21) and it's happening. I'm currently charging it to 100% and then I'll let it drain and monitor it just in case there is a main problem. I'll also try a different cable tomorrow.
However, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone else has suggestions?
As an FYI, I've
- Turned off DATA
- Tried charging while the phone was switched off (it does cool, but charge time doesn't seem to improve which might be because of the 700-900 amps I'm getting.)
-Underclocked to 1.4ghz and undervolted by 75mv on everything
-Turned on Power Saving mode
-used Greenify for many apps
-Factory Reset
-Reboot
I haven't:
-Let it go from 100 to 1% in order to correctly monitor battery killers
-Tried a clean unroot, back to stock, root, clean flash. (I've done it all except the clean flash [I restored a backup])
-Other things I can't think of
