Right now I downloaded that files. Start to look at everything. The only probelem is how to open xml files. All I can find is excel
Have exam today and after tommorow but will try to do smth. Will write progress if smth will move forward.
Edit: Found easy way to open xml. Notepad++.
Regular notepad works too. If you don't want to install more software.

I would recommend a smarter editor like Komodo, which has autocomplete, auto indent and xml validator
Or Eclipse, you can use it for pretty much every programming language out there

who would use digital zoom?
I want the improved pic quality with no compression and 3d working. Who cares about digital zoom on 5mp camera. It never looks good anyway.

Where is the panoramic and burst mode shooting options. Where is thr scenes option under settings. Wasnt that suppose to be included with thr sense 3.0 camera app? It is included on the sensation. Anyone have an apk?

IF you're speaking about the Sony Camera, it will not replace the HTC Camera, you will have both APP.

I believe the Camera APP your referring to is the one from the MyTouch Slide 4G (AKA Double Shot). I ran the app on my EVO 4G and it was awesome. I can't wait for root to he found so that I can use it again. I will try the Sony APK and see how that is.

I think this is a common issue for Amaze camera port on CDMA. Hows sweepspot working out? That also crashes the camera app in the Amaze camera port thread.
Its it possible for this to work on miui or cm7, just wondering (don't flame please lol)

A lot of camera functions still don't work or crash the screen

I tried this on Eternity 3.5 and it get's stuck at the HTC screen and needs a battery pull.
I flashed through recovery and wiped cache and dalvic, re-booted and camera wasn't even in my app drawer. I went into Root Explorer and into system/app and found camera in there, permission's were set right so I clicked on the app and installed and now have camera. I am jot sure though if that's what I was supposed to do or if something went wrong somewhere.
Two issues I found:
1. Can not select burst mode. It always jump to action mode instead.
2. While select sweep mode, i can take first picture but then it hang when second picture taken. I had to manually end camera before I can use Canberra again.

this is for roms that DONT have 3d working.
this is not a cam fix its a 3d fix for roms with out 3d.
if you already had 3d working on the rom then the amaze cam would have no issues.

Thank you for the clarification. The ROM I am running already had working 3D, and I just flashed the Amaze camera over it. 1080p 3D looks great. I haven't verified the resolutions and bitrates are legit though.

Because it is based on AOKP, which is Senseless, the camera not working is one of the bugs that have not been worked out. I'm sure once a dev fixes it, there will be elation on these boards.

I'm wondering, strictly wondering, if the Camera.apk and associated .odex file could be pulled from a CM9 ported ROM and put on this one. Just to see if it works.
You'd have to manually delete the old files and put the new ones on, restart to recovery, fix permissions, and then restart.

I had to do this with the Camera on an ICS ROM and it started working. Bear in mind that it was a Sense ROM, not a Senseless one.
Try it and let us know if it works.

I know the CM9 port has the 2d camera working, so your idea might work, but even if it does, the front camera and 3d stilll are a work in progress.

I do occasionally use both, but I mainly wanted the OP to know before trying to incorporate that camera only to find stuff not working.
I do look forward to the day when cm9 and other aosp roms will fully work on the 3d.

Aaron just uploaded 38a and stated that 38b will have camera working. Check his thread. Just updated. Not too much longer.
However, if you want camera working in aosp, devil toast has working camera.

That's why I don't leave sense either, but when I do use a different launcher, I use Android Pro Widgets as those are very sense like.

Like my title, can we somehow mod the camera to have some function like:
1: can take picture while recorder video?
2: can take picture while recorder video in 3D mode?
3: can take multi-pictures to take the best one like htc one x?
Is there super man there ? :">
Not with stock. There may be a way to do it with a custom rom, however I haven't seen one.

Found a post advertising the Android 4.2 camera and gallery ported to 4.1 Galaxy Nexus. Decided to give it a try on CM10 Disarmed Toaster for my Evo 3D and it works. I haven't put it to the test thoroughly yet, but basic functions seem to work. The sphere picture (I forgot what they're calling it) force closes though. I tried their work around, but it errors stating that my device isn't yet supported.

I don't think so. It produces and error mesage that says device is not supported and exits when that is acknowledged.
There's a mod in lens_flare's MIUI thread to change device type in buildprop but I haven't tried it.

I just tried the updated 4.2Camera_t04.zip and it works! just have to set the language to English(US) to prevent force close of gallery.
Photosphere, camera, panorama, video all working. Much nicer UI than the original JB camera. Not even getting those pesky graphic glitches in cm10.
just have 2 camera and gallery apps now so will have to uninstall the original ones
What i did:
Wipe cache + dalvik
flash 4.2Camera_t04.zip
reboot
The new keyboard looks nice too(took the apk file not the flashable zip)

Didn't realize that the camera had been updated to t04 since the download isn't labeled that.
Sphere seems to activate properly with the updated version for me as well, but I haven't figured out how to use it yet.

If you download from the camera only link, the zip file will have a "t04" (test 4?) suffix on it. There is an additional .apk in that version (GmsCore.apk) which was probably patched to bypass the device check, so no buildprop change is required.

I just tried the t04 and it works a bit better. Gallery opens the spherical view for the photospher'ed pics and the pictures taken with photosphere in the camera app are a bit less like a collage and more like a stiched sphere. I noticed that the more pics you take the more likely it will screw up the whole thing. I took a whole full sphere and it turned out real messy. The best thing to do is take a quarter to half sphere with no more than one level up and down beyond the horizontal plane.
I cant wait for the official Agrabren'ed version integrated into CM10.1
Now if Aggy can make this whole thing work in 3D, that would make me want to hold on to this phone until the protons breakdown...just kidding, protons last a very long time...
Downloaded the 4.2 patched camera and was using the time lapse feature recording candles burning at .5 of a second for 57 seconds (if that makes sense) and its pretty cool. Google nailed the time lapse feature.
What about the 4.2 browser and email client...that would be awesome for sure!

Photo sphere dosnt seem to work for me, the 1st pic comes out mega over exposed and then subsequent pics are so under or over exposed they end up as black or white tiles :/ any ideas of what's going on? I see others have it working.

try taking them in a well lit room or outside. id ont seem to have problem with over/underexposure unless its night time. the real problem is the photo comes out like a child stitched them. And Techronico is right. the more pics i take the messier it is. dont really see this as much of a feature just yet. maybe is future updates it would be easier
