I did that but then I wouldn't get the unread notifications like the '1' in the circle even though I'm on the pro version
I dont have the pro version but did you enable it in your apex settings
If it still dont work maybe the messaging app from samsung dont work with it

Hello all,
is there a way to sort apps in alphabetic order,of course,in samsung own app drawer? And please, dont suggest me a new home launcher,i tried them all,i want a solution in original samung touchwiz app drawer, Thanks!
Clearing the TW app's cache re-sorts them I believe.

This worked great, never knew that thanks.
Edit: After I cleared the cache it reset all my widgets on my home screen. Had to redo all my widgets and short cuts. I tried AppZorter and it works but it does not fill up each page it just fills them up half way so you have more pagers to scroll through. I really wonder why Samsung wouldn't make that a feature. Seems kinda dumb to me but I know there are other launcher that do this but I'm really trying to like TouchWiz...
Or try AppZorter on the market
Better yet, just replace the launcher, use something like ADW Launcher, ADW Launcher EX, GoLauncher, etc...
Hi all.
I'm having a problem on my phone whereby the default home screen seems to lose itself after every time my phone goes into lock.
Specs are:
CHECKROM Revolution 1.0
GoLauncher Ex (my choice)
TW 4.5 Launcher
It was working previously with the same as above, and I thought it was the latest update to GoLauncher, but rolling back to a previous APK doesn't work either.
Cheers!

Hmm ...
... could be a GoLauncher Ex issue.
Did you search in the corresponding thread for any solution or similar issues?
Alternatively you can use another launcher like Nemus Launcher app from the Market.
Good luck !
Ok. Try this.
If you don't have titanium backup installed, download it from the market.
When it first opens, at the top in the middle you will see 'backup/restore'. Go into that and select your desired launcher then hit 'wipe data'. Keep in mind you will lose all your widget/launcher setting.
What is weird is that you would think it does the same thing as doing it from settings/application, but it doesn't. The titanium trick has saved me heaps of times when all else has failed.
Also, are you sure it is set as your default or are you just launching it from say 'home switcher' without clearing the old default and setting the new?

Can anyone confirm if direct dial shortcuts work for them on Sprint or any variant? I get can't launch application after trying to launch a direct dial shortcut .

I have the same problem on the ATT version running stock/non rooted with Apex Launcher.
On ATT using Nova and Direct Dial works.

Maybe it's apex then... since I'm using that too.
Sent from a room in a place. (usually)
not sure why sammy removed this, and the power widget, from ICS
+1 - me too. Apex launcher on rooted ATT rom and direct dial doesn't work. Reports 'this activity can't be launched'
Fixed in latest version of Apex Launcher 1.2.5
Hello...I just bought Galaxy S3 and downloaded Handcent sms as a stock messaging app!The problem is that it doesn't show how many messages i haven't read(it is ticked in the options)! The widget icon does, but i cannot put it in the launcher icons...Is there a way to fix the problem..I reinstalled handcent but nothing happened..:/
I don't think you can do anything about it.... Sadly. :/
Just rate the app and write ur problem in the description. Hopefully the dev will update...
Till then touch can try go sms or chomp sms.
Both are very good.

You can configure this in Apex launcher.
My old Optimus V phone had a launcher that showed the number of missed texts/calls/emails right above the shortcut in the app dock at the bottom of the screen. Is there any modern launcher that does the same thing and works on 4.x JB phones? I'm rooted and ROM'd if it helps.
I've triee sslauncher , this was able but u've got to know how to do it , how to select the text type, the shortcut type... you can try the free version on the play store : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.launcher
