I followed the instructions exactly, just like I did with CleanRom 1.4. So what is wrong this time ? It will not reconize my SD Card.
Any help pleaseeeee
What is your current firmware? Still running the January OTA? Will need the old firmware patch if so.
give us some info. are you on gb or ics. I assume your on gb and flashed an ics rom without flashing the old firmware patch.
so go into the cleanrom thread and look for the old firmware patch and flash that
Are you on the GB firmware and if so did you use GB firmware patch?
Go to bootloader look at HBoot whats the version?
too slow im outa here.. later guys..
My mistake was forgetting to flash the GB patch for it. Thanks guys.

Hi
I am currently in GB - Cleanrom 1.5 (Real old, Aug 2011)
It has
Kernel = 2.6.35.13
HBOOT = 1.98.2000
radio 0.91.00.0818r
Build= 2.01.605.11
S-Off
Unlocked
Recovery AmonRA -3.5 (Latest)
I want to upgrade to ICS, Can someone help with the steps,
All the steps in the ROM pages are not working as I am on old firmware, I loaded the GB patch and the ROM, it keeps in bootloop after the boot animation,
Queries
a) Do I need to upgarde my HBOOT, I think its 1.98.2000?
b) are there any ROM which supports older firmware?
Update to the GB ota and then flash cleanrom 4.5 and the old firmware patch

All the clean rom links for latest GBE OTA are down, any one has the mirror?
Hello to everybody.
First of all I need to tell that this is my first post in this huge community, so as you could understand I am so totally noob, besides I am from Latin America so excuse me for my bad english.
I have a S3 I9300 (bought on december 2012) and I am feeling worry about the sudden death issue, according with what I've read one of the possible causes of this issue might be the bootloader of the jelly bean, so they recommend to install old bootloader the one which came with the ICS 4.0.4, but doing this may brick my device.
So my question is does worth the risk to install this old bootloader? another thing is that I have the red exclamation mark when the phone is booting (I am currently using Sotmax v12 rom with Yank555 2.8f kernel).
And in case the answer is yes do someone has tutorials or video of how this should be done?
Thanks in advance for your help
See the post how to flash old bootloader right next to this post .
Question = Q&A please .

Thank you for your response, I've read the thread you suggest and I still do not understand some aspects like:
1.- Do I need to be on 4.0.4 Stock to flash the bootloader?
2.- In order to flash the bootloader just need to place the ICS old bootloader XXALEF provided in the thread in the bootloader section in Odin 3? or is needed to do another procedure first? do I lost root?
I am sorry to bother you, but I want to be sure about what I am going to do before try to do it.
Thanks
I think do what you see in the other thread.
The trick is look for a country that has not gotten uodated to JB 4.1.2. Stuck at 4.1.1. DL the last 4.04 (ICS) of that country. Flash it via Odin. Then upon first boot (dont root in the mean time) let it update to 4.1.1 via the phone's OTA Software Update. This is the key part when a JB 4.1.1 Bootloader will be installed that will break the XXELLA bootloader's protection.
After that OTA update is finished (285 MB file) then you can flash that XXALEF ICS Bootloader through PC Odin.
Then do root or wahteva you want.
This is described in Dr Love's thread. I'd done this way.
Another way is this one.

Thank you so much for your response. I will try the second method and see what happens.
Sorry for my persistence.
Now I understand almost every step on the procedure to downgrade the old bootloader, but one still question still remains do I need to be on 4.0.4 stock to downgrade or it does not matter what firmware I am using?
Thanks for your help
Hi guys,
I want to revert back to original stock rom, but I couldn't find any download link for GB version stock rom. All the links I did find are invalid now.
My phone keeps getting boot loop everytime it's out of charge. I can't be bothered anymore to flash it again & again. Also I'm selling this phone soon to get the new HTC One
Please help me to find the correct download link!!! My phone is S-off & Hboot 1.53.0007, radio ver 11.25.3504.06_M
Thanks in advance.
I have a firmware question that I can't seem to find the answer to by searching. I am running arhd 11 on an att HTC one. Should I upgrade the firmware on my phone? Will there be any benefits to this since I am on att and not international? Also how do I go about updating the firmware and does it wipe the device? If I should upgrade, what it's the version I should download? Longtime Samsung user so please excuse the noobness.
If alls running well, then plz avoid ... however, in ARHD thread many AT&T users have updated the firmware without any side-effects
Best to post Q in that thread itself

It is currently not mandatory to flash the new firmware for ARHD, but it does provide a noticeable increase performance depending on the current firmware version you are running, I was running 1.26 on my AT&T m7 and the screen and touch buttons have been much more responsive now that I am running the new 2.24. Flashing the new firmware will also update the baseband, providing you with the latest radio (but performance of this will vary from region to region.
If you go to this link, it will give you some great instructions on the update process.

BTW, you will need to be s-off and change your cid to 11111111. As long as you take your time and follow the directions completely you will be fine. If you do update make sure you flash the firmware TWICE when it says to, and make sure you re-flash your custom recovery because it will get replaced during the updating process. This process will not delete your sd card and you will be able to run your current ARHD, but it is recommended to do a clean install after. And you might as well since 12.0 is out.
hope this helps
I'm getting a failed not allowed error when trying to 'fastboot flash zip'
I successfully have s-off and changed CID but can't get firmware to flash
Edit: not sure what happened but I was able to push the zip successfully. Maybe from adding the path of the file instead of just the zip file? Anyway, it worked.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
IF the rom is tweaked right theres no real reason to update the firmware to euro build,Id wait till att variant or the dev variant gets the update and then worry about it.
Hi All,
I have S-Offed and Unlocked the device and successfully been able to run Skydragon 9.1 with Firmware 2.22.1540.3 by using clean Install, I tried upgrading to Skydragon v 15.0 with Base 2.22.1540.4 Dev Edition. It was not at all stable on my AT&T device and hence I Reinstalled V9.1 Again .
Now I want to Install V18.0 on At&t Htc M8 . Will it be stable or not?
Secondly as V18 is based on 3.28.401.6 WWE do I need to do something special first os just follow the regular steps?
Like after download the V18.0 put it into sd card and clean swipe M8 and reinstall it from SD?
Is is ok if I follow above steps?
Please replay ASAP. Need Urgent help
First off no need to double post,you will not be able to run any 4.4.4 roms without first updating the firmware accordingly
The firmware won't flash through recovery. It flashes through fastboot. Just head over to skulldreamz thread,and pick up 3.28.401.6,rename to 0P6BIMG. Reboot into bootloader,select hboot and presto...you have the required firmware for SD v18....
@jxcorex28
Yes you can flash a 4.4.4 ROM before updating the firmware but it's been said it will boot slow and run slow.I didn't have any issues flashing Skydragon 4.4.4 running 1.58
@tranquil.rb
If you've already flashed the ROM than you can flashed the firmware update anytime you like following the procedure mentioned by "jxcorex28" without disrupting the ROM.
I'm running Skydragon 4.4.4 and have updated to the 3.28.401.6 on my US AT&T HTC ONE M8
