[Q] Need help in regards to Skydragon Rom - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Hi All,
I have S-Offed and Unlocked the device and successfully been able to run Skydragon 9.1 with Firmware 2.22.1540.3 by using clean Install, I tried upgrading to Skydragon v 15.0 with Base 2.22.1540.4 Dev Edition. It was not at all stable on my AT&T device and hence I Reinstalled V9.1 Again .
Now I want to Install V18.0 on At&t Htc M8 . Will it be stable or not?
Secondly as V18 is based on 3.28.401.6 WWE do I need to do something special first os just follow the regular steps?
Like after download the V18.0 put it into sd card and clean swipe M8 and reinstall it from SD?
Is is ok if I follow above steps?
Please replay ASAP. Need Urgent help

First off no need to double post, you will not be able to run any 4.4.4 roms without first updating the firmware accordingly

The firmware won't flash through recovery. It flashes through fastboot. Just head over to skulldreamz thread, and pick up 3.28.401.6,rename to 0P6BIMG. Reboot into bootloader, select hboot and presto...you have the required firmware for SD v18....

@jxcorex28
Yes you can flash a 4.4.4 ROM before updating the firmware but it's been said it will boot slow and run slow.I didn't have any issues flashing Skydragon 4.4.4 running 1.58
@tranquil.rb
If you've already flashed the ROM than you can flashed the firmware update anytime you like following the procedure mentioned by "jxcorex28" without disrupting the ROM.
I'm running Skydragon 4.4.4 and have updated to the 3.28.401.6 on my US AT&T HTC ONE M8

[Q] Updating rom or firmware/radio from 1.13.651.1 to 3.15.651.13? Rooted & S-OFF
Hi XDA,
I just obtained LazyPanda S-OFF (after being rooted and HTCDev Unlocked/S-ON since I got my phone)
I'm still on my original rom and firmware my phone got shipped with, never took an OTA (thank god)
I have Titanium Backup PRO, and TWRP v2.4.1.0 (the latest version)
(I read that someone had to downgrade TWRP to v2.3.3.0 to install the newest JB rom - took him 3 hours of trying with TWRP v2.4.1.0 until he tried v2.3.3.0 and it worked) - Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2045929&page=62
Has anyone successfully flashed the new JB rom with the latest TWRP?
AND
If I flash the odexed rom (from -viperboy-) will that include the firmware & radio? If not, should I flash the firmware that won't update/include the newest HBoot? (or do I need the new HBoot?) I'm on LazyPanda's 1.12 (v1.12.xxx - the modded version) Or because I'm S-OFF it doesn't matter if HBoot gets updated/overwritten because I'll still retain root & S-OFF?
I just want to know what files to install, and how to install them properly (please include links and good directions) I already watched wwjoshdew's videos on YouTube.
Thanks in advance, zmag
Roms do not include firmware/radios.
The firmware updates are found here READ thru the last 10-20 pages before you flash any firmware...better to be safe then sorry.
When you are ready to flash use the Full Firmware
There is no need to update your hboot.
I have all my firmware updated including the touch panel drivers and I can use twrp 2.4.1.0 but if you update the touch panel drivers you can ONLY use roms based on 3.16. In order to flash a 3.15 JB rom you would have to flash the older touch panel drivers and use an older version of twrp AFAIK
Re: [Q] Updating rom or firmware/radio from 1.13.651.1 to 3.15.651.13? Rooted & S-OF
You can update firmware from my thread by flashing the latest (3.16) firmware.
As far as ROMs go, with TWRP 2.4.1.0 you won't be able to flash 3.16-based ones with an outdated update binary. If you want a 3.16-based ROM, you can flash MeanBean, or my stock rooted.
If you want to flash a 3.15 base ROM, that should be no problem.
Thank you for the heads up guys!
So I'm going to update just the firmware/radio for now: (with this file) PJ75IMG_Jewel_3.16.651.3_firmware_extended.zip - correct? (Sorry just making sure)

Yes, that is correct.
Thank you for guiding me through this captain throwback, I _finally_ did my first firmware update and everything works great.
I'm still on the original rom, until I decide if I want to update to JB (the touchscreen drivers are what's making me nervous to be honest)
All in all, thank you! I'll read through your thread and direct any further questions there if necessary!
So if I want to install MeanBean, and update the Firmare to 3.16, I can flash MeanBean first, then update the Firmware, correct?
I am on the stock firmware, running the stock OS, and have not taken any OTA's. Is there an issue with flashing the most current firmware, or do I have to "step up" by flashing older firmware updates in sequence until I get to the most current?
Thanks

As long as you use the firmware zips from my thread, you can flash the latest firmware with no problems. The order of flashing ROM versus firmware shouldn't matter.

[Q] Radio Update to 1.10

Hi Guys,
You are now my final hope!!!
I am trying for 3 days now to upgrade the radio version of my Desire V to 1.10 (Currently I'm running on1.06)
I have installed several ROM's an tried to run OTA updates, but none of them actually updated my radio to 1.10
Can someone provide me the zip file or a clear instructiuon on how to update my radio to 1.10?
I'm now running on the HTC_T328W_Asia-WWE_1.73.707.1_Stock ROM (found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343623 )
Radio is on 1.06.34D.05_20.22.30.23U
I'm looking for radio version 1.10.34D.17_20.26.30.27U
My girlfriends Desire V is actually running on this radio and exact the same kernel (1.73.707.1)
Using "getprop ro.cid" I get back HTCCN703 (China Version)

Ok, I have the same version. I was in same condition as you and it was needed of two OTA to get radio 1.10. It will be and a third update but that is for some chinese apps (11 of them) - don't bother.
Good luck!
Here is a thread with all official versions, RUU and ROM for this version of Desire V. It's chinese but numbers are readable.

Download these, follow the steps from that page you mentioned before, and you will return to stock, then you can do OTA updates. Pfffffffff
This took some time and effort.
First I had to reload the Original China ROM
OTA updates were loaded, however, they did not install
Several other ROM's were loaded, but no succes at all
Then I locked the bootloader again en downloaded the correct RUU
Installed the RUU using the PC over the Original China ROM I installed myself
After this, the Phone installed several OTA updates
Finally my radio was updated to version 1.10
Then unlocked the bootloader again
installed the European ROM and all is runnig fine now
Thank you for the information!!!

If after installation of the original China ROM, you did flash stock recovery and boot, and lock the bootloader, than I can assure you the OTA will install. But if you have custom recovery and bootloader unlocked, OTA will be downloaded but not installed.
I know you solved this, but for the other readers who wants to do that I have to say it.

[Q] Flashing CM 10.1 on Verizon Note 2

Hey guys. I've been on the "Beans" rom forever (Build 21) and starting to have some issues so wanna try flashing a new rom. I have the Verizon Note 2 rooted with unlocked bootloader (Never took the OTA that locked it) so I have Android 4.1.2 at the moment with VRAMC3 Baseband version. What do I need to do if anything before flashing CM 10.1? Do I need to upgrade firmware or anything? I heard you can brick if you flash a newer rom without upgrading your firmware first? I believe CM10.1 is Android 4.2 so I'd be going from 4.1.2 to 4.2 so I dunno. I'm also using an older version of TWRP as my recovery. Should I download the latest TWRP and flash that first? It's been a while since I did any fancy stuff with my phone just wanna make sure I don't mess it up. Thanks in advance everybody

How to upgrade AT&T 2.23.502.3 (Android 4.4.3) to Android 5.x.x (AT&T 4.28.502.2)

How to upgrade AT&T 2.23.502.3 (Android 4.4.3) to Android 5.x.x (AT&T 4.28.502.2)
Hello and thank you in advance.
LONG STORY SHORT
I have a rooted AT&T M8 with unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery and AT&T 2.23.502.3 (Android 4.4.3) build. (I have followed this thread to flash this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...-2-23-502-3-bootable-ruu-pc-required-t2860486)
I want to install the latest ViperROM following the links on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705292. THE PROBLEM IS, download link says that:
"The 4.3.0 rom is based on HTC’s latest M8 Sense 6 Android 5.0.1 base and requires you to update your firmware to at least the 5.0.x (Lollipop) version! Else you will run into hiccups, like Wi-FI not working or No Boot and so on…
You need to do that on your own, because we can’t install the firmware for you with the rom installation."

THE QUESTIONS ARE
1- How do you find ViperROM in general and particularly the latest builds?
2- Can I upgrade my firmware to a Android 5.x.x version with a Windows 8 PC by following the instructions and downloading the latest 1,5 GB RUU file on this page: http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8-att/news/
3- How do you like the idea in general?
Thank you very much and Cheers!
OK SOLVED.
fastboot oem lock
double click the .exe file in Windows
solved it.
Thanks!

used tablet stock rom 5.1 wifi works unlock bootloder flash new rom no wifi help

wifi as working great, unlocked bootloader flash twrp. Then 2 7.1 based roms and no wifi on both roms?
Thanks for takeing the time to read my post
You need the latest vendor images. You can't just flash 7.1 ROMs onto your tablet if your current firmware version is 5.1, that's like 2 years old and at least 17 updates ago. Update your firmware to the latest version, found here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
If it's the LTE tablet, use "volantisg". If it's the WiFi-only version, use "volantis".
After you get the latest firmware installed you can start flashing custom 7.1 ROMs.
flashed stock rom with wugfresh toolkit still no wifi
You flashed the latest firmware? From January 2017?
If so, try a factory reset.
I did I had to reflash 5.1 then upgrade to stock 7.1 then re flash twrp then it worked thanks
