Hey guys. I've been on the "Beans" rom forever (Build 21) and starting to have some issues so wanna try flashing a new rom. I have the Verizon Note 2 rooted with unlocked bootloader (Never took the OTA that locked it) so I have Android 4.1.2 at the moment with VRAMC3 Baseband version. What do I need to do if anything before flashing CM 10.1? Do I need to upgrade firmware or anything? I heard you can brick if you flash a newer rom without upgrading your firmware first? I believe CM10.1 is Android 4.2 so I'd be going from 4.1.2 to 4.2 so I dunno. I'm also using an older version of TWRP as my recovery. Should I download the latest TWRP and flash that first? It's been a while since I did any fancy stuff with my phone just wanna make sure I don't mess it up. Thanks in advance everybody

I have a rooted Verizon Galaxy S4 with a T-Mobile SIM card and running on baseband version MI1.
I want to flash a ROM on it that works perfectly with T-Mobile, so I could get full 4g and everything.
What I'm confused about is what I would have to do first. Update to the latest version first then flash a ROM? Or can I just flash a ROM on the current version.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Hello all.
I have a 4.3 mk2 ROOTED -using Oden 1 year ago and not sure if locked or unlocked bootloader.
I am running stock touchWiz ROM, bootloader I545VRUEMK2, Kernal 3.4.0 Build JSS15J
Every morning it asks me to update OTA 4.4
I don't mind wiping all of my data.
What are the steps to update to 4.4.x?
I did a search and found this link to going from 4.3 mk2 to nc5, BUT IS THERE A NEWER VERSION OR WAY TO DO THIS?
IE 4.4.4 ???
Thanks in advance!

I have an s5 that came with 5.1.1 completely stock, unrooted with baseband: G900TUVU1FOF6. I have never downgraded an s5 before. I've only done it to nexus devices. Does anyone have any instructions on how I should downgrade it? I was thinking of using the 5.1.1 rooting procedure that involves flashing a kernel with kies then maybe it would be possible to flash a custom 5.0 rom with recovery. I'm not sure that is a good idea though because I wasn't sure if the bootloader, CSC, or PDA firmware would still be stuck at the 5.1.1 version.
Edit:
I found this video which seems to say you don't need to root. I'll try the video's method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nek0lowlMmM
Hello
I flashed the latest firmware available for my S6 edge (SM-G925F) : G925FXXU3DPDP (XEF).
I've never used Android 5.1.1 on my phone and I asks to you if downgrade is possible at this point (latest BL I think) and if yes, how ?
Thanks you for your further replies
Bye.
I Think Once u Flashed The latest Firmware U can't Go back
Because Of bootloader
Bt U can try Download Android LP And boot loader And put Ur phone in Download Mode Flash with odin
i updated on 6.02...
didn´t like it...
flashed back to 5.1.1 stock without problems (odin)
Hello poci,
You were running with which firmware ?
It's easy to go back to lollipop?
I'm reading some comments off people wich say No, ando some less who say Yes.
i made an OTA update from 5.1.1 to 6.0.2... but i didn´t like the battery drain on 6.0.2......(or 6.0.1 i don´t know anymore)
after clean install of 6.0.2....there was no change at all...
then i went back to 5.1.1 by flashing a stock 5.1.1. firmware with odin...no trouble or anything else...
If flash fails, is my device will be hardbricked ???
if you have the right firmware...i would say "no"
so why should it fail?
i used this firmware for my o2 edge
G925FXXU3QOLD_G925FTEF3QOL1_G925FXXU3QOJB_HOME.tar
Beceause newest bootloaders blocks downgrade, you was in which firmware on Marshmallow ?
don´t know exactly...60.1 then
when 6.0.2 blocks downgrade...
wifi as working great, unlocked bootloader flash twrp. Then 2 7.1 based roms and no wifi on both roms?
Thanks for takeing the time to read my post
You need the latest vendor images. You can't just flash 7.1 ROMs onto your tablet if your current firmware version is 5.1, that's like 2 years old and at least 17 updates ago. Update your firmware to the latest version, found here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
If it's the LTE tablet, use "volantisg". If it's the WiFi-only version, use "volantis".
After you get the latest firmware installed you can start flashing custom 7.1 ROMs.
flashed stock rom with wugfresh toolkit still no wifi
You flashed the latest firmware? From January 2017?
If so, try a factory reset.
I did I had to reflash 5.1 then upgrade to stock 7.1 then re flash twrp then it worked thanks
