It works perfectly here. Have you tried clearing the cache and rebooting? Is your network connection fine?

yes i did still problem present
I'm getting same problem today. First happened with Galaxy S (a friends phone) , I was getting "Server Error - Retry". I updated manually to latest google play store and still the same problem.
Next it happened on my HD2. I flashed the phone today with NexusHD2-Gingerbread V3.2 and after setting up my phone, I tried to open market but it gives me same error.
Anyone has any idea?
BTW if I open Play store from web page it loads fine, but if I try to install something from there, it gives me Your Account isn't linked to any android phone.
Strange.
Edit: I fixed the issue by using market enabler and faking my provider.
I think this error could be country related.
Here in the Netherlands on unbranded Samsung Galaxy S2 the play store is working.

Hi all,
I fixed problem but you need to have rooted phone and install MarketEnabler app, here is a Google Play Server Error quick FIX http://viewoneworld.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/google-play-server-error-quick-fix - my blog post about it.
Its problem with some regional/provider specific markets/plays so you just need to fool it that you are from other region/provider...
Let me know if you have any problem with this fix...

theres no need to visit your blog. I posted the fixing with market enabler. But real solution would be fixing it in non-rooted phone. If anyone can do it, please let us know.

hey thanks for replying,i own xperia x10 mini android 2.1. and when i try to download an app. from market it stops on "starting download..." it just says "starting download" and that's it. i was exploring the web a bit trying to find out why this happens and it said it could be because of google talk. but i didn't find a solution to this problem anywhere so i don't know if it is permanent?! i also noticed after deleting g. talk that when i turn the phone on there's an error,, it says process com.google.process.gapps has stopped working. try again. (translation) i suppose this also has something to do with deleted google talk?
Hope this post helps you: http://androidforums.com/x10-all-th...-x10-google-talk-apks-please.html#post1892860
Yo u have to extract the file to get the APKs and enable installation from unknown sources for a successful installation. I recommend to disable this option after you finish.

hihihhiii thank you, today i'm instaling clockworkmod recovery , and than anything is possible :fingers-crossed:
OK I got this 7 mid Google Android 4.0 multi touch capacitive tablet PC (sorry for the super long name lol)
Now everything works fine ...the only real issue I have is whenever I go to Google play and try to download anything I would get this error and the only way I could get past it is to remove my account and sign in again.
Is there a way to fix this so that the error don't continuously show up??
Thanks

Try clearing data for Google Services Framework, then restart. If that doesn't work, I think you just have to wait for Google to fix it (it seems to be a problem on their end).

Thanks, that fixed the problem! now if there was a custom cm10 rom for this thing i'd be in business lol (wishful thinking) :good::highfive:
Every now and then I try to update apps and it comes back with the error message below. I have to reboot my phone and then I can install updates again. Anyone else have this problem or know why it happens?
Anyone?
Search! This is documented all over the internet. You basically need to clear the data and cache from the play store and Google play services.

I noted that in my original post, but it's annoying to have to do this every time and I wanted to know why it's happening all of a sudden.
not bad
Is anyone else having problems with Google Play this morning? I can't get it to refresh/load whatsoever on either wifi or mobile. And the new Maps gives me a no connection error.

The Play Store is working fine here, try rebooting the phone and wiping the Play Store's cache.

Didn't try that, but all seems to be well now. Not sure what the deal was. Oh well. Thanks for the attempt!
