Every now and then I try to update apps and it comes back with the error message below. I have to reboot my phone and then I can install updates again. Anyone else have this problem or know why it happens?
Anyone?
Search! This is documented all over the internet. You basically need to clear the data and cache from the play store and Google play services.

I tried that before and it didn't help, I still get the same error after erasing the data/cache.

I noted that in my original post, but it's annoying to have to do this every time and I wanted to know why it's happening all of a sudden.

Thanks But Unfortunately Didnt Work So I'm Stuck.
You can try removing your account from your device and then sign in again. I get this problem quite frequently on my Note , and Sgs2. I believe removing your account from any Android device requires you to format it.

Uninstall the updates of the Play store from "Manage Apps". Or replace your current "Vending.apk" from system/app with a 2.x version of market . Then everything should work. Don't worry, it will be updated to Play Store in few minutes.
go into settings select apps then look for market select it n clear data, iftht still dont work u can just download the file apk from the internet

Seen a new thread posted, going to try there way. I'll report back if it helps
This happened to me..trying to remember exactly what i did..
I believe had to uninstall the play store update in apps then delete cache and reboot. or vice versa
Do you ever uninstall apps by long pressing and dragging to uninstall? I THINK i heard market does that because the app count on phone is different than store? Could be wrong but after i could download again my store was WAY off for a little bit

OK I got this 7 mid Google Android 4.0 multi touch capacitive tablet PC (sorry for the super long name lol)
Now everything works fine ...the only real issue I have is whenever I go to Google play and try to download anything I would get this error and the only way I could get past it is to remove my account and sign in again.
Is there a way to fix this so that the error don't continuously show up??
Thanks

Try clearing data for Google Services Framework, then restart. If that doesn't work, I think you just have to wait for Google to fix it (it seems to be a problem on their end).

Thanks, that fixed the problem! now if there was a custom cm10 rom for this thing i'd be in business lol (wishful thinking) :good::highfive:
I have an issue when I try to sign into my google account on a TW rom, I get "there was a problem communicating with the google servers".
I am able to sign in just fine on CM. Do you guys have any idea on what would cause this? Are all of the TW gapps out of date or something?

Yeah, all of the google apps I have cleared.
Hmmm. And this is on every tw ROM you've tried? What about clearing cache and dalvik cache from your recovery menu and fixing permissions?

I had a similar issue on an older build of jrkruse's Roms, but after flashing 4.3 gapps it fixed my issue. Maybe try that?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
ok, so I just added a different google account and it eventually worked. Is there a limit to how many devices you can sync to your google account? I would think that they stay on your account even if you wipe the rom from your phone. Maybe I hit some sort of limit?

As far as I know there is no preset limit on how many accounts can be linked to one device. But at least you were able to log in on a different account . I would still try the 4.3 gapps to see if you can log in to the account you were trying earlier.

gapps flashed and still not working. Might have to try an odin back to stock and redo everything.

Nah, didn't work. I have no idea what is going on. I shall call google tomorrow, as it seems to be an account issue.
I hope you figure it out, it's a rewarding feeling once you do. But I'm sure you'll get it working!
