If really don't think so but I guess if it cm then it is possible cause cm is the weirdest to rom I have ever seen

Hi all, I have a problem with my device while is wifi on and screen is locked. If I go out of range of conected wifi and phone is locked it goes freeze and the only way is put out battery... I have a third rom ( froyo, russian 2.3.4 and cyanoace ) in my phone and it still make this bug. This bug happens if there was original rom froyo too:
Freezing-
Froyo: sometimes
2.3.4: always
Cyanoace: sometimes
Dont anybody knows whats wrong or what can I do? Thanks a lot!!!
This is called the Sleep of Death (SoD)
It's impossible to get it when you're under CyanogenMod .
Try setting the WiFi Sleep Policy to Never

Cyanogenmod uses some Samsung stuff so it may be possible.

It happens two times until now with using cyanoace rom... So now Im testing never sleeping seting aplied on my wifi - thanks for advice and I will see if it happens again...

So today I have a for this time three times lost wifi conection on three different locked wifi. Phone is not in Sleep of dead yet... But when I look at the CPU spy, I see that cpu is about 20% in deep sleeping MHz. In CM I set minimum cpu underclocking at 245 MHz so why it goes under this speed wheen screen is locked?

So today is the next day without sleep of dead. It looks like everything was only in turning wifi off while screen was locked... hope it will be ok now

Anyone knows if why the Auto Contrast will not stay on?
I can turn it on, but when I exit the camera application, it will reset to OFF.

I have the latest version of the stock no brand. The brightness worked fine. Just flash root + CWM, the brightness does not work again. Any idea? Any suggestion?
Have you checked your setting to make sure the powersave isnt on. Also the Auto Brightness is disabled?

The powersave must be off...and Auto brightness disabled ? Is necessary ?
The is very dim if you keep them on. But once you turn then off and adjust brightness to max you will see a big different

Make sure auto rotation is checked in Settings. Some apps like the video rotating themselves are normal

I just test a rom recently which included an app.
It was to manage wifi , and auto wifi disable when screen turns off...
I read the changelogs of tested roms but i didn't find so if anyone use this rom or remember
please tell me 'cause i wanna get this app back ^^

try Tasker, you should be able to program this with it.

In advanced wifi settings... why would you want another app to control that when android system can do it?
Settings doesnt work and tasker neither...
I dont know why but its annoying...
If anybody can help me ^^
Edit: tasker says no active profil...
I create profil state display off with screen matchs off for wifi and data and its enabled but doesnt work...

Works fine for me here.
Create a new profile-Events-Display-Display On.
Add Task-Net-WiFi-On.
Similar for Display Off.
That's all I did.
