right click the .apk u want to rename then.... select RENAME then type the name u want.... its just like copy and paste

Download AIDE then decompile ur apk then edit or rename do whtever u wnt...

dude don't reply to already solved threads. It's a sincere request. if u want to help try helping the current threads.
Open manifest and search for android:label="@string/app_name" if it is like this you will find the name of the app in strings under app_name.
And this is not a place for ques!

In this thread I will show you how to customize an app so that you could add your favourite wallpapers in it. Its good for roms for improving their visuals.
Requirements:
1.HCWallpapers.apk http://www.mediafire.com/?z3oaoy1iz9w9mtu
2.apktool/apk multi tool
3.basic editing xml's
Instructions
1.Decompile HCWallpapers.apk
2.Go to res/values-hdpi
3.Open arrays.xml
4.Add this
Code:
<item>wallpaper_x</item>
Replace 'x' with any alphabet like k,n etc. (The alphabet should not be already present)
5.Go to drawable-hdpi
6.Add 2 images over there with the corresponding names and sizes
Code:
wallpaper_x.png/jpg 480 x 320
wallpaper_x_small.jpg/png 170 x 124
7.Compile apk, sign it and install it
Can't install, and i use root-explorer copy to system/app, set perm, and reboot phone, but not work.

i managed to get it done on my galaxy s2, i had a flashable zip that i could flash to any samsung or cm9 based rom and it would give me touchwizUX
place this in ur system/app
and change ur permission to rw-r-r
use root explorer and reboot

You can't install that. You need to push it to system/app. Use some root explorer (Like Solid explorer, Root explorer lite...).

maybe u can extract apk using 7zip and edit but u cant do much using it
If u find that hard then u shudnt do theming urself
Using apktool is very easy... Just do wat they tell u to exactly
