dude don't reply to already solved threads. It's a sincere request. if u want to help try helping the current threads.
Open manifest and search for android:label="@string/app_name" if it is like this you will find the name of the app in strings under app_name.
And this is not a place for ques!

i have one more problem ,now i can recompile it by replace ur string code
but when i copy Phonebook.apk (signed) to my phone by root explorer and i set permission
then i restart my phone after i lost contact & phone from my phone.
why like this sir?

An Arc with CM9 on. Don't sign system apks, that might be the issue.

Read the "Recompiling" part HERE
I cant recompile Settings.apk
I used:
Code:
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool if SystemUI.apk
apktool if SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
apktool d Settings.apk Settings_S3
(edited two xml...)
apktool b Settings_S3
But always the same error.
I just updated apktool to the last version. I am using windows 7

You must add both drawables/strings with right id to public.XML
guys i am using SGSA 9070 wit jellyMOD custom rom....i dont see gtalk app.... i tried to instal the apk also but no use... Can some one help me to get the gtalk back... Its not in play store also by google.inc pls help

You can't install that. You need to push it to system/app. Use some root explorer (Like Solid explorer, Root explorer lite...).

Are you sure because the decompiled file compared to the original apk you uploaded is a few mb smaller which indicates some more changes

You have to decompile the apk if you want to know how to do the further process n if you don't then you can read guide for Decompiling and then I can proceed to tell you how to do that

decompile SystemUI.apk
it has a xml file called status_bar.xml
search clock in it
in that line you will get a attribute android_gravity .
if it is center_vertical change it to left|vertical ( I have like this in my apk)

to decompile we use an app called as apk multi tools and another app apk manager !!
both are good...works fine for me...!!
i think u will need sdk tools installed in pc to make apk managaer and apk tools work on your pc !!
google about it, you will get more answers.
and there is a guide in development section named 'make custom rom' which shows how to decompile any apk..!!
