I used my Droid X before my X2 to record covers on YouTube. But trying to hit the on screen record button is a pain on the X2. On Droid X previously and I could just press the shutter key. Is there a working mod or app I can install to enable this. I'm not wanting to use this to start the app but rather start and stop the camcorder. Thanks

There is the one on droid forums
This may have been asked and answered a thousand times but doing a search on "screenshot app " brings up pages of crap heh. I am on stock rooted 181. Is there a native way to do a screenshot and if not is there a good app out there that one can recommend?

This one works well
Razr Maxx
Im using the No-root Screenshot it App from the market as Im using it unrooted!
But after every reboot of my handset I need to connect to my PC and enable screenshot functionality! hate it...
Screencast works best for me on stock rooted ginger. Allows you to create video as well.
Sadly it doesn't work well on ics

Not that hard.
Isit just me or is the brightness crap when using in daylight. I compared to my one x and y just seems dim at 100% even on a light cloudy day.

Seems perfect with me, but I have nothing to compare it with. Try going into settings developer options then change the screen to dynamic.

This looks great asking and getting questions solved in completely different phone forums
How would it be if I go and ask has messaging bug been solved in that kyrillos beta ROM released a year ago in galaxy s3 (or even iPhone forum ) forum

So I'm about to get a GSM DROID RAZR and its asiaretail etc....question. I'll be using my straight talk att sim. Will I get 3g? Will I be able to flash custom ROMs etc? What will I need for stock firmware and rsd files? Sorry for the questions but I'm in america and coming from a Galaxy Nexus Gsm so I need to get the basics down. Thanks

The answer is yes. It also wouldn't hurt to look into the Dev forum a little deeper and to look up the phone's specs to answer your questions.

Well I think I figured out the RSD side of it. I had a Motorola Atrix 2 at one point so that's not too new but I know there's so many versions of the RAZR and didn't want to screw up any

Coming from the nexus to a Droid RaZr will mean you have little to worry about. The phone has many aspects which are similar to the nexus like software buttons and a very much stock like overlay. I know that the phone has a lot of support all over the web, not as much as the nexus, but enough.
The Motorola itself has a specialized forum on XDA where everything generic like that will be discussed. Try not to get overwhelmed with excitement or enthusiasm becuase the phone may turn out to be less than your high expectations. I share that anticipation when I am getting a new device. That being said, it is a great device.
As a side bit of advice, do not rush into flashing and modding without reading. It will always end in tears. [BRICK].
Hope you enjoy the phone.
Hit Thanks If I helped.
Just be careful with fastboot files. Make sure you only flash the asiaretail fastboot files that work with your phone or you'll end up with a paperweight.

I know I can do it from the onscreen keys, but is there away to do it say like how the stock lg ROM had it in the recent apps menu. Once again thanks for the help guys I feel stupid that I can't figure this out.
