[Q] me860 to mb860 change after flashing rom? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So after I became impatient waiting for Motorola to release their official ics update for the me860 I decided to try and unlock my bootloader and flash on jokersax's excellent cm9 rom (I must say its sexxay) but now when I go to settings -> about phone it says my phone model is mb860 instead of me860. Now I understand that mb860 is branded as the atrix 4g and mainly distributed in America whereas the me860 is not branded as the atrix 4g and is mainly distributed in Asia and Europe but their hardware are still the same. My question is can I treat my phone as mb860 and flash mb860 roms on it or is it still an me860 that thinks it is an mb860???
Sent from my atrix me860/mb860(??)

When I bricked my Atrix (MB860), I ended up flashing a HKTW SBF which changed the branding on my Atrix to ME860. There isn't any difference, works like it did before.

[Q] AT&T vs Bell hardware

I ordered via AmazonWireless's "Replacement Phone" option to get one to Australia and received is about 1.5 months ago and its been okay so far.
I'm on Telstra (Australia) which primarily uses 850MHz (UMTS/WCDMA/HSPA/HSPA+).
As there has been leaked Telstra ROM, I'm wondering if there is actually anything different between the devices other than the ROM, and if so, if I can flash the SBF from the Telstra/Bell devices onto my Atrix without causing issues.

After reading some of these threads it seems that the Telstra SBF is incompatible with the AT&T atrix. After my own experience with flashing this to the Bell Atrix, I've come to the conclusion that there seems to be an American version of the Atrix as well as an international version. This is because the Atrix can either be recognized as NS Olympus or SE Olympus through RSD Lite. Since my Atrix, as well as other who have successfully flashed theirs with the Telstra SBF have the SE version, it seems that this may be the only one compatible with the Australian firmware.
If you ordered your phone through Amazon, it is likely that you have the NS version. You can verify by downloading RSD Lite, plugging in your phone while in RSD mode and seeing what shows up on your computer.

[Q] DOs & DON'Ts (Intl vs ATT)

Hi to all,
I have bought an AT&T branded MB860 unlocked-SIM and unlocked-Bootloader. I use this phone in Europe with the CherryBlur v1.4d (shipped rooted and flashed - don't know the origins or the method used) and although I have read literally 200 pages it's been difficult just to figured out my choices in ROM selection. I feel comfortable with CherryBlur but I want to try some more. Up till now the only thing I undestand is to avoid sbf flashing especially previous stock roms, and avoid incompatible kernels and radios.
To cut a long story short:
-Should I search only for Orange France based ROMs? (Orange UK?)
-I have an international phone (because I operate it in Europe) or an ATT phone (because it was initially ATT branded)?
thanx!
If it's ATT branded it's att phone, no matter where you use it.

it's a MB860 (opposite to ME860) so can I flash alien or other ATT based ROMs and still remain operational in european networks?
it's the radio that allows your phone to operate with the local provider, not the ROM, per se. The ROMs will come with a radio, but you can flash a different radio after loading the ROM (well, obviously not every radio is gonna work on every ROM) - just search for 'radio' in the Atrix Android Development section.
I'm using the ATT Atrix in the UK on CM7, and I've had no problems!
I use my att atrix with att roms in spain. If unsure flash faux's kernel also which works in any atrix

[Q] Atrix 4G Stock 4.5.91 ---> Gingerblur

Hi, I just bought a Motorola Atrix 4g , and presume that it will be shipping with the newest stock update. I have been searching everywhere on how to do this, but can't find anything, fit specifically to my needs. I need directions on how to put my unmodded brand new Motorola Atrix 4G with stock update 4.5.91 to the latest update of Gingerblur. Thanks, I'm new to the forums, but I understand technical stuff.

[Q] Can I get ICS?

Well I'm thinking about purchasing a Razr (I'm a sucker how thin is it!). I'm planning to order it from Ebay where it is white and unlocked for GSM use (the model is XT910). Now my question is, is that I plan on using this phone with Rogers and would love to flash the ICS leak. Would I first have to flash the stock Rogers GB ROM with rsd lite, if that's possible? I basically have no idea what carrier this phone is originating from all I know is that its unlocked and it is the XT910 model, I just want to make sure I can get ICS on it. Thank you!

Motorola Photon 4g MB 855 Unlocked Stock Sprint Firmware/software

Hello,
I have motorola photon 4g MB855 released by sprint . When i bought phone it was working fine with android 2.3.5. i tried updating it to newer version by using a post at xda forum but the upgrade trick didnot worked and phone become dead.
Then i found another post to get the phone back to normal but the sbf file i got was of Motorola electrify. I installed that SBF and phone works fine with local GSM networks but it battery drains very fast and phone get heat up if 3g or wifi is used.
I tried installing Sprint SBF that i found from interent but after installing that SBF, Local GSM no longer works on the phone.
If any one have stock Sprint firm ware unlocked, please share with me
