I Used two have two fascinates and flashed them alot.
Sold them and got a new phone.
Decided to buy a fascinate missed it so I got one on ebay and it will not boot past samsung logo.
I odined ed05 with atlas pit flash went perfect.
Tryed to boot it and still only boots to samsung screen
Does any one have any Ideas of why it will not boot thanks in advance
Try to Odin the pit and tar as well and did you make sure you had repartition checked as well l? If you dont have these both go to droidstyles guide and get them. It sounds like you didn't have repartition checked though.

No I did have repartition checked
No errors in odin
Tried hemdall and it locked up when doing cache tried several times
Thanks
I think it is a hardware problem it will not boot in to factory recovery or if I flash cwm it will not boot that
always goes to the samsung logo and that is it
Why not download the eh03 stock pit and tar packages and flash those. Could have bad downloads maybe. Always hard when we are not there. Can you flash a recovery also. If you can maybe you can adb into recovery and flash a rooted from at that point.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I have flashed them also do not get any error in odin
seems like all flashes flash correct in odin
I have all the files on my computer from when I had my other fascinate and they have all been tested and worked on my other fascinates
I have all roms and leaks
not sure how to do the adb
Same Problem
My rooted Fascinate was going super slow even with setcpu. And it was freezing a lot. I'm going to try a couple things and I will post if they work. Maybe my processor is fried... Who knows
Can you three-finger into recovery.
same problem
Same issue, I can boot into CWM but wont go past the samsung screen if I don't.
Try flashing a ROM in CWM.
did you ever solve your issue cause i have been trying to solve this for the longest

Hi guys. I rarely come for help here but well...here I am.
Alright, the problem is a friend of mine did a factory reset(I think) to his while running a custom rom with lagfix. Now the phone got stuck at the vibrant logo. I got the phone, started odin, and tried to flash it back to stock(Froyo) but still have the same problem. If I'm not mistaken, He was running a gingerbread ROM. Is the problem the bootloader?
Here's the screens I'm getting:
After flashing with ODIN, notice it says "failed" on some of the lines on the recovery:
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3109/img20110909232229.jpg
Also fails on the data wipe:

Uhh ohhh!

Tried flashing back to stock JFD (2.1)? That usually fixes anything for me... I don't think GB bootloaders would do that?
Locate my GingerZen thread in the Development section, in the second post, follow the FTDNB steps I posted, and breathe some life back into that thing.

ALright guys thanks! Will try this when I get some time next week. Will let you know if it revived!
I'll release a heimdall-one click for Vibrant soon enough. This will totally reset your device. Wait until tonight, I'll likely have it online.
Perfect! thanks man!
You would think the .pit and .tar flash in ODIN would fix the problem. Of course you'd lose all memory in the phone and external SD card.
Those guys are smarter anyways
Hi all
I'm not new to flashing but I'm new to flashing cm7.
I odin back to stock jfd eclair. Root and Install CWM 2.xxx. I downloaded the stable cm7 and I started flashing. (after I wipe data/cache of course)
IN recovery, it said finding package, opening package, then my phone processed a series of lines and reboot automatically. On the startup, it says VIBRANT SAMSUNG, then GALAXY S CYANOGEN(mod) then the same recovery screen with many lines. It moved too fast into another reboot I couldn't read what was on the screen. And it kept doing this for quite 10 mins now.
Is it normal? if not, what did I do wrong? I can get into download mode and odin back to stock but I did it last night and I couldn't think what i did wrong.
Please help!
Hmmmm..... seems a bit wierd, try going into recovery and wiping and reinstalling with a new download.

Try reflashing cwm when your rooted, may have not flashed right
Sent from my Gewgle Phone via XDA App
This happened to me also, I went directly back to recovery, 3 button, and reflashed. Worked the second flash for some reason.
Thanks. I turn it off, get into recovery again, and re flash it successfully
Same exact thing happened. I have no idea how many time I odened back to stock trying to figure it out.
I did as you guys said, as soon as that loop began, pulled the battery and got back into recovery. flashed again and worked just fine!
same thing happened to me...i got back into recovery...i noticed cwm updated to 5.0.2.8 then i reflashed and all good...when i tried to flash at first. cwm was 2.5 ..maybe thats the issued it wont flash on that...has to be cwm 5.0
anyway getting ready enjoy some cm7 on my vibrant...
major problem.
i flashed team perfection objection ics rom. felt that i wanted to go back to stock and thats when the problem showed up.
i havent flashed any other custom rom before the objection ics. i came from stock rooted telus.
tried flashing the tar file from this thread
[STOCK][ODIN][GB][Telus] For those who wish to revert to stock Telus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27508953#post27508953
- sometimes odin freezes but when it doesnt and actually finishes flashing, phone wouldnt start up after the automatic reboot. (how long should i wait for the initial boot to start? i wait for about 2-3 minutes of nothing but black screen before resetting)
i tried flashing the backup files from this thread
[ROOT]For TELUS Note (i717D) - No Flash Counter
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1585440&highlight=telus+rooted+system
- after flashing, boots but gets stuck at the "touch the android screen to begin"
anybody have an idea whats going on?
tried 2 different stock tar files through odin and i cant get any of them to work.
i flashed back to the objection rom through cwm to make sure that my phone isnt bricked or anything. seems to be working fine. havent tried any other custom roms though.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Hi you may have a partition that is corrapted or there may be something wrong with that telus Odin flash. Go to dev section. There is another Odin flash for telus. It is a stock telus rom rooted that is flashed through Odin. It does work, I hav e used: t before. I will send you a link when I get home from work.

I may have found your problem. When using Odin, and flashing a backup file, it does not format your phone partitions. So you first have to go into cwm and do a factory wipe, wipe dalvik and go into advance and wipe the other dalvik . Do a battery pull, and now put your phone into download for Odin. I have telus kernel, telus modem and telus stock recovery that can be flashed in cwm. Just not sure if I have the stock from still. Pm me if you have any questions
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Just a update wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache before you use Odin to flash a rom. I told you partly wrong in precise post

thanks for the help guys
thanks for the help guys.
i dont know if its a partition problem though but it really got me worried.
for some reason i got it to flash properly and it booted up with no problems.
now im thinking thats its the odin software that was causing the problems. the first one that i used to root my phone a couple of weeks back had an "evo 4g" title at the top. it didnt gave me any problems back then so i ignored it. and thats the same one ive been busting to use last night to flash back to stock. anyhow, i tried using a different odin3 that has "android+slp" label on it and i noticed that it was freezing less and actually finishes the flashing but the bootup still has some problems. i get stuck at the bootup logo for a couple of tries. after sometime i just flashed it over and over again until i hit the jackpot.
is there anyway that i can check if my partitions are still broken? im thinking that i wont be doing any flashing until the update comes in july. the ics roms arent stable enough for me anyway.
oh what do i do if wanna get the official ics update? i have stock system, i think, but its rooted. do i just flash stock kernel and unroot it?
i found an article in lockermikedotcom that allows you to unroot using a batchfile. i was wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction. thanks
If you have a stock rom but it is rooted, flashing a stock kernel usually does not remove root. You would have to install stock recovery first and then you adb to remove the superuser and busbox files from your phone to get it totally stock like it was before you rooted it. This batch file DooMLord_v1_unrooting_zip will unroot your phone .It work on the Rogers Note anyways. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?7ysrb3v7tfu9t1a
First thing I did to my phone was install stock rom using the AIO Vibrant Toolbox. I flashed it successfully using Odin. But then my phone just get stuck in a bootloop upon rebooting.
I've tried using Odin 1.3 to flash the 512 pit file and Eugene's froyo that can't brick tar... stuck in bootloop.
then I tried 512 with T959UVJFD. still stuck in bootloop.
then I tried 512 with t959UVJI6. still stuck in bootloop.
I've flashed over 30 times today with different configurations of 512 + whatever tars... nothing has worked. I've spent almost 12 hours trying to fix my phone lol... I have like 50 tabs open in my browser. hahahha
I can get to in Download mode easily, so it's probably not bricked. But I can't get in to Recovery mode.
What should/can I do now?
What if you try one of Fishman roms? You have odin images and i know it's not stock but give it a try

try Heimdall @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755265
The only time Ive seen a bootloop out of odin is with a Vibrant 4g, odin will almost always fail you before rebooting into a bootloop.

Try one of the FIshman Odin files with Odin 1.7 if you haven't already. Hopefully you have the Vibrant phone not some variation right?
does odin say successful when its done?
tried heimdall. successfully flashed it. still stuck in boot loop. then I tied to heimdall again, but with boot loaders too.
now I'm pretty sure it's hard bricked lol... ****. phone is complete off. won't even turn on anymore.
FML.

Dang bro sorry man. It was just a recommendation since I have seen some people benefit from it. Did you flash using the step by step instructions? I know there is a mod you can perform called unbrickable ... it let's your flash your phone even after hard bricking ...

Here goes, hopefully someone can help!
Ive installed a fair few roms on my phone and never had any issue, maybe this explains the complacency.
After updating to CWM recovery -6.0.4.7 I get stuck on my bootscreen, only seeing "Samsung galaxy I9100P" , ive been putting I9100 roms on it and losing NFC functionality for a while.
I went to update to the newest CM-11 nightly and read I needed to update CWM-recovery first. So did that, rebooted phone as instructed after installing new CWMr and nothing. Just stuck on I9100 screen.
No way to get into recovery mode, the only bright side I have found is I can boot into ODIN download mode. So what would be my next steps anyone?
Flash stock rom. or flash a kernel to get a working recovery bk with odin.

From a dig through the forums it sounds like NAND rw corruption?
I wouldn't be calling it that just yet. Unless you'd like to pay for a motherboard replacement ? Most of these are recoverable.
Used ODIN and flashed a new kernel, still on the boot screen, except now I have the yellow exclamation mark. Now to, Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.. this day is not going well..
Fingers crossed, flashed 3 or 4 kernels before one worked and allowed me into recovery mode. Trying to restore back to my backup from this morning. Heres hoping! :good:
Worked perfectly, the first thing I did was retry the initial task which was what got me stuck, currently waiting on CM-11's initial boot up after a successful install Thanks for the calming responses!
