S1 Boot Version and ETS Software Version - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Guys sorry for posting this again ... but this hasnt been ansered elsewhere...
on dialing *#*#7378423#*#* in software info ...
there is S1 Boot Version and ETS Software Version ....
What are these .... i am trying to restore to exact original state ...these two things are the only one i differ from my friend who has original stock ..... are these different for different handsets ????? everything else is same ......
i attach the screenies of the two handsets..... left screenshot ( first one ) is mine that i restored by changing cda..... and second one is his........
One more users who has rooted and unlocked bl and all ......experiences same problem .... his s1 boot version and ets software version are same as mine .... so is it like all people who have unlocked bl have same s1 and ets ( coz they must have downgraded with same fw or something ).........

These things differ by regions (and yes handsets)

Then how come the guy in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26201181&postcount=54
and i have the same s1 boot and ets s/w version......

Its not really a big deal, you can change in anytime from your build.prop
I think the real one is printed on the back of your cell, remove your battery and see

-I was originally on a .58 PH Generic Firmware and updated to .62 via PCC . mad: i don't have any screenshot)
-I rooted it. I followed this thread: Rooting live WT19i 4.0.2.A.0.62 above without unlock bootloader for Noob<< this one is UK Generic
-I wanted to have .62 PH Generic Firmware. I downgraded it back to the .58 UK Generic and changed CDA to 1254-1952(PH Generic). I updated it via SUS. I noticed that ETS and S1 Boot Ver. didn't change when i was on .62 UK Generic.
I will try to ask the others what they've done with their phones too.

yup so common thing we have done is flash .58 from that thread ......
Another common thing is that we both came from .58 and thn upgraded via pcc and then did all that stuff..... where as my friend's phone came with stock .62 ...... did ur friend's phone also came with stock .62 ??? i think that might be the diff ..

Phone: WT19i
His phone came with a .58 stock PH Generic Firmware.
He upgraded to .62 via OTA.
He followed the same thread to root his phone.
He downgraded again to .58 UK Generic via flashtool.
He edited his build.prop to PH Generic and repair/update via SUS.
His s1 boot version and ETS is the same when he first bought his phone.
His phone:
Mine:
We pretty did the same thing w/ our phones.
Another phone:
This one came w/ .58 and updated to .62 via PCC. Never been touched.

Dammit y is ours different thn !!!!

can u ask one of them to make .ftf of their firmware from se update service ...... if they dont know i can post a link here... its really simple...... only their phones will be reset...... Please if u can ask them thn this issue will be solved once and for all.....

Hi. I have requested a firmware file already.
Bad news: Still the same S1 Boot Version and ETS Software Version.
So, it's NOT with the firmware that you install.
I'm thinking, could this be because of the flashtool version?

Maybe someone who knows the workaround of flashtool could help us with this or the dev himself.

No, Flashtool can't make modifications self. Only writes the .ftf file to phone.

No You will Not have any Problems Flashing, However INterupting the Process Can SoftBrick the Device. But its fixable and for free.
flashing ftf firmware via Flashtool is safe for all phones, so don't worry.

I've just installed this on my R800at, its working fine, thank you
using this one right now. but do you mind telling what's in it? have used for a time the .58 Hong Kong version. but this one with a fresh install I could feel its a lot faster without any tweak or script. I can see the /dev/block/ is fully loaded.
thumps up. really
for now good battery times but again. was calibrated.
games run smoothly.

In this ftf file:
baseband(adsp.sin, amss.sin, amss_fs.sin, fota0.sin, fota1.sin, simlock.ta) and kernel(kernel.sin) are from r800i .62 generic firmware.
system.sin is from r800i .58 hongkong firmware.
cache.sin, loader.sin, userdata.sin is from lt18i firmware.

Thank you. I have tried that though, and it just stops at step 2. This is what I get:
Killing ADB server... KillServer 1.06s
Starting ADB server... StarServer 4.15s
Also on the side it says: *daemon not running. Starting it now on port 5037*
* daemon started successfully*
Then nothing. If I click ROOT again, it just redoes this. I shall keep trying though.
Edit: Used Unlock Root program and it did the job. Thanks though for helping out!

Actually even I couldn't download them
But
Before flashtool v 0.7.1.0 I had doomlords modified v0.2.9.1 flashtool to install gb & root it according to doomlords method
which had files like azuzu upgrade/downgrade in the firmware folder
& it struck me that since azuzu was the one who created those files then that should be the same ones that lukas used in his method of unlocking the bootloader
.
I took a chance & it paid off
.
The downgrade / upgrade files are there in the firmware folder
So download that flashtool package, link for flashtool here...
.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196808
.
Sorry dont know how to upload files & where as i dont know anything about server upload & stuff
not a member of any either
Otherwise would have given the files directly
.
Anyways enjoy but after getting the files follow the steps carefully
Use the latest flashtool for flashing or getting drivers NOT the one i have mentioned
& then follow lukas's method to unlock

Thanks dude .177 certified 12-07-2012 but not released yet. In PC Companion and SEUS firmware is not available for Greece.
certified means it's fit for release. it will be 2-3 weeks before it is released to the public... that is if the manufacturer decided to release it...
in other words... Certification is NOT a release

Hi, I'm trying to make my own .ftf file for my region (Singapore) and came across a problem.
Hope someone can help!
After updating via SEUS, in "Update Service/db/13740270/blob_fs" I found 3 files.
I saw in other guides I'm supposed to get only two files though. The smallest file only had loader.sin after decrypting.
Should I include that file to decrypt and compile into the .ftf file?
And would it affect the unlocked bootloader status etc if I flash this ftf file over a phone that has its bootloader unlocked?
Any FTFs? Thanks

If you are done with your rooting following the link @[email protected] gave you, then install CWM Recovery which can be found by searching the forum, after installation is finished just get the custom rom you want and CWM to flash it.
custom roms can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1728
get the one you think is best for you, each dev has already provided instructions on how to flash the roms in their posts.
hope i helped, good luck!

Prototype or not, dev device or not, unlocked bootloader or not this doesnt affect the usage of flashtool
However windows 8 and lacking drivers may hinder anything untill actualy sorting out what is in the way
Ok, I ve flashed it, downloaded from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934
But, again I downloaded prototype firmware, so can you, or someone, just send me link of retail firmware (Android version 4.4.2) unbranded for D6503, I cant find...
Thank you!!!

Download one of these 17.1.A.2.55 - 17.1.2.A.0.314. They're all retail 4.4.2 firmwares.
Ok, great... Thank you!!!
