If you don't know what PDroid is look here
All I have done is patch MiniCM using this
Flash PDroid.zip in CWM
Flash Restore.zip in CWM if you have problems
Credits:
nAa & co for the ROM
svyat for PDroid
pastime1971 & mateorod for the patches
Go ahead & thank these guys
Usual disclaimers apply
Looks great, I'm gonna try it out NEver heard of it, but seems it offers a better alternative to permission denials
does anybody want me to upload latest patch? (for MiniCM9 3.0.3)
To anyone who is interested there is a pdroid & V6supercharger version, I just haven't tested it...mainly because I like ICS memory management & didnt notice much improvement when using it. Look here
Also could a moderator move this to apps forum, sorry :good:

I've been desperately trying to get pdroid on MiniCM7!
First, I couldn't patch (with either the original patcher or the pastime1971 & mateorod patcher) because the ROM was odexed. So I deodexed it but it still won't work. The patcher created an update.zip output but pdroid keeps displaying the "Bad news: pdroid patch is not installed" message. Even after mount system.
So, my questions are:
1) Did you deodex the MiniCM9 before patching? If you did, did you use kitchen?
2) Did you have any further trouble?
3) Is the deodexed and/or patched ROM noticeably slower than the odexed version? (my non-working patched MiniCM7 was much, much slower than the original nAa ROM)
And the bonus one: is MiniCM9 as fast/reliable as MiniCM7? Should I make the switch? Any flagrant disadvantage?

CM 7.2 isn't currently supported afaik. The last MiniCM7 to be supported by the autopatcher would be v2.1.4
For the most part it works fine, pdroid has a really low overhead I didnt notice slowdown or anything but if you go blocking overboard
then things might FC but its easy to undo.
Don't think our little phone can handle deodexed roms so thats probably why you had issues (could be wrong)
Bonus answer: to be honest, it entirely depends on what compromises you can make as an end user. For my needs, I could tolerate
the little niggles with CM9, they didnt bother me, but they might be a show stopper for you. I was using it daily with no major issues which
would stop it functioning as a phone/media player/time killer. So I guess the best advice would be to try it & decide for yourself
(I really noticed a difference in music EQ - CM9 handled the bass - my dre beats said so)
Speed wise, if you don't mind waiting a second longer every now & then (not always) then not a dealbreaker but again its up to you to
weigh up pros & cons as you use it.
Reliability...only time I got reboots was when trying to stream live tv (unsurprisingly) & wifi speeds seemed slow for me but I might
have missed a trick there...
...thats my two cents!
Im trying out CM10 to check the hype for myself...pdroid patch tested & working. Download from first post
Thanks a lot, brother. I'm at work right now so I can't try any other ROMs but I fear my weekend is going to be spent 50% girlfriend and 50% f'ing up my phone with several ROMs.
I'm gonna read up on CM10 'cause I haven't heard anything about it and also try the MiniCM7 v2.1.4 and CM9 just for fun. If I have any success I'll report it over here.
And just to clear up: I intend to use my phone for calls and texts (duh!), maps, some productivity apps (nothing more demanding than a timesheet) and little games (e.g., Angry Birds). All of these will be used offline because I don't like/trust data plans. So far, I've tested all of these apps in MiniCM7 and all of them work wonderfully; I hope that's the case with the older MiniCM7 or with CM9/10 too.
Have a nice weekend!
Hi, again, brother!
Guess what! I just got PDroid running under MiniCm7.2!
I don't know what I did wrong yesterday (sleep deprivation really messes with my brain). Today I just reinstalled the deodexed version of MiniCM7 (latest version, btw) and reapplied the patch created by patcher v1.31 (patcher v1.32 would not boot - weird).
I guess I won't be trying CM9 or CM10, after all. Well, maybe when a stable enough version of MiniCM9 rolls out I'll try it. Until then, ta-da!
Problem
I have problem with download pDroid of Google play.
On MiniCM9 I can download but I can't download on MiniCM10, so please tell me how to solve this problem.
Thanks and sorry for my English

Details:
This is my Second Custom Rom for X10(had to delete first one in just an hour as according to XDA Moderators there were some warez[paid apps] in it),thanks to zdzihu's xRecovery we can now flash user ROMS to our X10.This is a modified and customised SonyEricsson 2.1 2.0.2.A.0.24 Rom(rooted with JIT Enabled). The biggest reason why i created this ROM is that i have personally experienced some great changes(on a positive side) in this firmware(2.0.2.A.0.24),and i therefore created it with JIT Enabled, full root access and some usefula and entertaining apps and games.
Changes in this Firmware:
There are many differences but some of the most prominent ones are as follows:
1. It is stable and faster then ever.
2. Mediascape and timescape are now very fast and fluid, the lag is gone now.
3. The lock screen is acting better and now it is more fluid and doesnt lag at all.
4. And above all the biggest issue has finally been resolves by SE to most extent, that is the incall volume is finally loud and clear(much better then previous,(though not perfect, coz nothing is perfect is this world.lol!).
How to install:
Copy the zip file[SK_007(Custom)ROM V1.1.zip] to the root of your sd card, then reboot into xRecovery and click intall custom zip, then select SK_007(Custom)Rom V1.1.zip,it will start installing it,when finished reboot your device and Voila! its done,Enjoy.....
Whats included in this Rom:
1.It is based on the latest 2.0.2.A.0.24 Rom
(Firmware version 2.1-rooted-zdz)
(Baseband version 2.0.4.9)
(Kernel version 2.6.29
[email protected]#1)
2.Off course it is rooted and JIT Enabled
3.I have included a lot of useful apps and some nice games(all tested and working fine)the names of some prominent apps and games are below:
***ADW Launcher EX(Removed on the request of XDA Moderators,as it is a paid app)***
1.Launcher Pro
2.Games for e.g Asphalt 5,FIFA 10,Gangstar,Lets Golf,NFS Shift,Homerun Battle 3D,Angry Birds and a lot others...
4.Res mod 1.4 applied(Thanks to XperiaX10iUser)
5.Many more things, but feeling tired to tell about all of them, lol!

Note:I want to appologise Mods,as it wasnt my intention, but i did that as i was a bit unaware of some rules,i hope now this Rom is ok and i promise i will be careful in future.
Any chance you can do a backup of the new ROM, which is just Vanilla, with just Root and Jit enabled? No other modifications?
Think this would be handy for quite a few people

Notes
No, not me nor anyone who worked on any part of this rom is responsible for eventually any damaged caused to your phone or life.
Yes, offcourse i am aware this is CyanogenMod 6.1.3 officially... but in my eyes it is not worthy enough to call it that, because not everything works yet.
WARNING!
I do not want to see any fights, cursing, banthering or what so ever in any negative form in this thread... if so i will let this thread be removed.
support ended, because i bought a new phone
Changelog & Fixxes & Themes
beware you should wait up to 5minutes the first time you installed the rom
Fixxes:
- No signal? visit this page for a lower/higher baseband version and you should be capable to flash it over it.
- i am truly sorry to say, that i blocked most advertising websites, adds etc.etc. if you however for some reason do wanna have these, whipe the hosts file ^^
you found something that is broke?
or are you gettin force closes? (if you really got this because you use baseband that is lower than .54 imma hit u with the ugly stick!)
download catlog from the market and send me the logfile, i'll make sure i'll do my best to fix it
Custom Themes:
SJ_CyanogenMod_6.1.2-Xtremes_X10_theme by Shiwantha
Can't wait to see the changelog and the difference of the CM6.1.3 V4 and CyanogenMod7.
Is there anyone can tell me what's the difference among them??? So many CyanogenMod???!
And i just find something about the .55 BB.:http://www.xperiax10.net/2011/02/19/rogers-releases-new-2-1-1-a-0-6-firmware-for-xperia-x10a/

Dear all,
as I think owain is rather busy with the honeycomb experiences (at least that's what I would do in his place), I created a ROM from 3.2.0, 3.2.1 and MiniCM-1.0.0-Beta1 (6.1) ROMS to provide some updates.
This is for the MINI PRO for certain (honestly I didn't look into the differences on the file level and try to create something for the mini aswell).
Also worth to note, I have no experience in Android development at all, but has 10+ years of dev experience, so this helped somewhat.
(Owain, if you read this I hope this doesn't belong to what you wrote in 00banner, just wanted to help a little).
Contents:
- Everything up to 3.2.1 from owain
- Detect ext3/4 partitions and mount as such - from nobodyAtall (should be ok now)
- 2.3.3 market - from nobodyAtall, no forced closes (TESTED)
- Ubuntu fonts for readability (credits go to the original author)
- sysctl tweaks (by anon67)
- Tried to fixed the FM radio, but it's a FC for me after the initial screen appears and bluetooth is switched on... - based on owain & nobodyAtall's work
- put back ADW Launcher (as in 3.1)
It still suffers from 'SD blabla' and reboot, if you disconnect from VPN, close root explorer, etc. - generally if you mess around with something that is related to rooting or root rights; couldn't find the root cause with no experience, sorry. Otherwise it's stability is like the previous ones (did not test much, but should be).
Installation with xRecovery, standard procedure (see owain's post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961783)
The rom is here (updated, fixed somewhat): http://rapidshare.com/files/451337572/cyan321b_fixed.zip
I also fixed the honeycomb theme which is here: http://rapidshare.com/files/451243627/honeycomb_fixed.zip
Credits should all go the original authors and owners.
Some things worth to note maybe (described 1000x times already, but):
- Switch GPS off, if you don't need it (it is on by default)
- Long press any text input field and select 'Android keyboard' for input method, if you cannot type uppercase
- Press BLUE+Sym and space for special characters
- etc.
Thanks a lot,
arch
But...
Maybe also worth noting that as a novice I might made some errors that has the effect that something won't work that worked before... so use it at your own risk.
Thanks, arch
LaunchPro force close
Thanks a ****ing lot mate!
Will post this in original thread when im home also credits to you ofc
I didn't really got much time for it really busy on HoneyComb GingerBread and MIUI
And this isn't what mike and i meant in the 00banner
Just that people dont install the rom on other devices
As you saw (i'm pretty sure you did read the script) it wont even work on a other devices lol
Again thanks alot

Hey Owain,
don't trust me so much, I think it's a lot better to check what nobodyAtall did in the last days and not look into this one... It's just some homebrew stuff, that is maybe useful for others.

Thanks !
Good to see that atleast someone incorporated the sysctl tweaks (it was honestly not mine , but i figured out the configs which is required , if you have sysctl in the init , then you dont need the app but only the configs).
I got a bit confused (please dont scold me ;-) ) , how is this ROM different from the one owain has posted ? I think FM still does FC on this one ? Please help me understand.
And yes , one more system app which i came about in this XDA forum itself (and in market) . although in beta state is SuperPower (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807989). I am yet to try it out (did try it out on the Gingerbread ROM - CM7 ) but had issues in it. Did not try it out on CM 6 ROM.
Thanks again !
Edit : OK i now get what all are the differences ... will try it out surely
Good to see someone continuing to develop 2.2 for the mini pro.
Might be a little bit off topic, but if i build android 2.2 from source and flash it, what are the chances it will even boot?
In the honeycomb theme could you change the color of the font in the notification slide because white on white it is impossible to read
Thank you
Many thanks for this upgrade try this one out

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Great job, many thanks!!!
Synchronization with Appbrain works?
Looks good so far !
so far the ROM looks good and working well (apart from su related reboots and FM FC's ) .
One peculiar thing observed also (although reported before in the owain's original thread) is that if you have moves app's to SD card , sometimes you see same application appearing twice in your App list . Kind of gives a weird feeling.
Not sure if this is a feeling , but if you change the notification bar setting to not show battery charge % , it seems that the battery charge lasts longer. Maybe its a psychological effect .

I guess i should try, I would like a clean base for 2.2.1, I think that using the cyanogenmod image for the hero might be the wrong approach.
As long as I can just get it to boot. Good thing that bricking the mini pro is more or less impossible. With a locked bootloader, I can always rely on SEUS.
These tweaks you are talking about, could you share that information?

Hey guys,
this is a port of PDroid v1.32 based on pastime1971 patch. All credits goes to CM9 Team, Svyat and also pastime1971 for his port, because I had no time to do it on my own.
I modified source code to get full working for ICS without any issues. Features:
No java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateException
No android.database.sqlite.SQLiteMisuseException
No FC's of PDroid
No java.util.ConcurrentModificationException
No *** FATAL EXCEPTION IN SYSTEM PROCESS
No NullPointerException
No random SOFTREBOOTS anymore!
I want to share it because privacy for android is needed and very helpful, so please feel free to download and leave comment if it works for you.
Install Instructions:
Go to recovery menu
wipe cache and partition / you also can only flash this zip without a wipe, like update to new nightly
install this zip
reboot
have fun!

By any chance do you have the ability to share the patches you used to do this? Keen to see if I can merge this against CM... They might not accept it on gerrit, but it would be nice to be able to apply it on top

Nvm I did a bit of research.... It's an app that needs ROM support (I knew that)
The patches are at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554960, with an auto patcher at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719408 for anyone who prefers a one-click method
Just another thankful user here! This thread deserves a little more attention, especially for those looking to patch PDroid on ICS for the SGS II. I have had a hard time trying to find one, and trying to use the auto-patcher without any technical know-how. The ROM in this thread has helped me set up a beautiful CM9 ROM with a working PDroid. Thank you!
For those who are not aware, PDroid is a privacy application that allows you to control the permissions given to specific apps. In other words, with this application, it is possible to hide your Device ID.. your GPS location.. Network location.. And this is the only application that can do that. Sure, there is LBE Privacy Guard as well, but it does not cover other aspects like... say, the SIM card.. your Accounts.. Your contacts...
Even better, this application allows you to create fake values to put in, or if you're feeling a little lazy, you could even randomize the values to put in! A really handy application to have, and something cool to have as a security feature.
Does it work on AOKP roms?

This build is not the same as the patcher from pastime. I've got tons of exceptions while booting and a lot of data leaks! After using it a while I got random softreboots due to nullpointerexception in system thread. I posted in thread that the patch causes random softreebots and they said that it is normal if you revoke permissions of system apps, but that's fail (sorry)! So, I wanted to have CM9 -> build it on my own was the only way to get a working smooth CM9 with PDroid!
I wrote a testing environment on emulator and was able to reproduce the exceptions. First I hav very complex solution, but then I went the "dirty" way, but it works exactly as it should! After that i fixed it and build my own rom, so that it is able to use CM9 and PDroid.
Does it work on AOKP roms?

It is a ready CM9 build for galaxy S2 based on nightly from 11.07.2012, not a patch! If you installed this rom before, just update with this zip. If you want to use CM9 on your Device (SGS2), follow the install instruction in main post.
hey,
thx but can you make a fresh build for CM9 RC2 ? I think this version would reach much more users than a build for a nightly.

Will update in next few days. For galaxys2 users hopefully with addon application for microphone and camera access.
Thank you, so the problem with the missing code for the pdroid app is solved?
Hey Collegedev,
I had a fair bit of trouble downloading from your file server. So when I finally got the whole file without failures, I extracted the core.jar, framework.jar & services.jar (as that is what is in other working patches), zipped, signed, then flashed it on cm9 builds 18, 19, 21, 22, 23. I'm no pro and I'm new to pdroid, but it all seems to be working to me.
Thank you very much.
I will share this, if you want or you might like to supply the same yourself. (I don't have a great ISP.)
(Please excuse me if I have overstepped my bounds, I'm just trying to help. )
Can I flash this on ParanoidAndroid(cm9 based)?
Wanna make sure first since I'm not sure if it'll break anything.

Confirmed to work here.
And, indeed, this is the best way to proceed.
Especially because it lets you keep upgrading to the latest CM9 nightlies.
Thank you for the trick.
And thanks to CollegeDev for providing PDroid to us.

Heya,
I have been trying to get pdroid running on Indie's Omega rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663656), but as yet have been unable to. Currently using Omega v11 but have been trying since v9.
The latest method I have been trying is by using the Auto-Patcher by mateorod and pastime (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719408). Every different type I have tried comes back with 'error: failed framework.patch'.
So, the main question is, has anyone gotten Pdroid running on Omega rom or a stock S3 deodexed, rooted, rom and if so what patcher/script etc did you use?
Uptil now I have been using LBE but from everything I have read I would be remiss not to use pdroid instead.
I know I could switch to Aokp, CM etc, however I really like Omega rom and would prefer sticking to it if I can.
As this is my first post I hope it is in the right place, if this is not the case I apologise and please feel free to delete or move it as is fitting.
Thankyou in advance!
EDIT: Really? No one has tried putting pdroid on an omega/sammy rom?? Or am I missing something (ie a better alternative, it's not possible, etc)

Hmmm, PDroid hasn't been updated for a while and it was having problems with the latest ROMs in my old (faithful) Galaxy Mini, so maybe when a Universal Patcher comes out as promised by the developer we may be lucky. That is probably my most missed app. BTW, there were other patchers that are meant to continue on pdroid's so I guess you can try them, I haven't myself because I know very little about developing or creating ROMs, etc. I'm barely able to flash after reading the instructions about 32 times.
Unfortunately from what i understood that great tool of autopatchrr is working only on cms aosp and aokp.
We have to hope period owner will throw out a specific version of it for ics jb ...
Thought this thread got buried without a reply. New version of the autopatcher is out, is looking closer to working on non aosp/aokp roms. (if not already?)
The alternative I have been using is LBE security, not the market one as that isn't JB supported.
The english translation of the latest versions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422479
Still buggy but overall works well.
LBE is a security problem

LBE is a closed source product. Devs are not responding. The app has complete root access.
=> BIG Security ISSUE
If you really go for security I would use this. Just answer for yourself:
Do you trust the manufacturer of LBE in a way that you open the complete phone for any access for them just to stop a couple of applications accessing your contacts? (just as an example ...)
Finally Noxious Ninja was able to run PDroid on Galaxy S3 with Stock ROM and TouchWiz!
But it's for the Verizon Version.
I hope with this the biggest obstacle is overcome. Maybe here is somebody able to make it analog for the International Version (I9300) and Omega Rom?

Awesome news, nicely spotted. Hopefully it wouldn't take too much to do it for the international. If I knew enough I would give it a go myself.
Been a long time coming.
Ninja didnt share the most important thing. How he managed to run the patcher on that ROM.
Maybe it would be already possible to create the patch.., we need to know how he achieve this. I was already writing in there
