Request: cwm flashable gingerbread updates - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

So i flashed my flyer with an ruu and ran revolutionary and rooted without checking for gingebread updates first. Turns out the ruu wasn't up to date, and my email client doesn't work. I am a titanium backup pro user so i could just go through the process again but I'd like to save time. Anyone just have the updates so I can just flash them? I went through the whole developer forum and didn't see them.

Nothing? Anyone know if i Can at least just run the HTC updater with revolutionary installed without causing any major issues?

If you are asking can you run a gb ruu on a soff gb flyer, yes but you will not overwrite the hboot and will still be soff
Flyer

I'm just referring to the otas. I reverted to gingerbread and immediately ran revolutionary and didn't check for gingerbread updates first. Turns out the ruu wasn't the most current gb rom. I'm wanting to stay on Gingerbread but my email doesn't work and I think the gingerbread updates fix that

As long as Ota is not hc I think you are fine

well some good news and bad news. good news is it doesn't brick it, not at all. bad news is it doesn't work. just gives you this screen:

so its apparent that the updater just won't run when you're on s-off. well maybe I could flash an updated e-mail program from a custom rom. guess I'll just run titanium backup and run the ruu again. won't take that long.

In your settings, make sure you are not checking firmware update but HTC software update. Maybe that will help.
Still loving my Evo View
HC has really changed this device for me. It's perfect for work. Perfect!

You know what? Take the above advice, but if you're still stalled on GB for a while, don't rush the OTA update; enjoy the GB moment. IMO, GB was made to run on this tablet and it shows.

really? i thought GB was an embarrassment on the Flyer...my first tablet had HC and when i got the flyer it was still on GB - i thought it was awful
HC can lag a bit. & some apps don't work the same. A lot of force close errors. GB was better. HC has great functionality, but I preferred GB. But either way the hardware can handle both....

Stock SMS back up / Restore issues

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone else was having a problem with the Stock HTC SMS/Backup feature included in most roms for the 3D. Here's a picture of what I'm experiencing.

The problem is that when ever I restore the backups I've done after flashing a new rom, it seems to create additional apostrophe's where ever they are used.
Example
"I'm getting ready"
becomes
"I''m getting ready"
and then the next time I back up restore it's become
"I'''m getting ready"
untill it's basically "I'''''''''''''''m getting ready" and then I have to delete everything and start over.
does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated as this is one of those ugly bugs that makes me want to shoot myself.
I've been having that same issue for a while now.
i have a solution.
stop doing that.

I'd rather not have to install a sms app to do this when my stock sms app supports the function. Thanks for the advice though.

Sms backup and send them to your Gmail account. Then there is no way to loose them

I use SMS Backup +, but the stock sense function was just convenient. I stopped using it because of all the apostrophes.

[Q] Which Fastboot files are MOST CURRENT?

Yeah, if everyone is OK with the complications of using a motorola phone, wait till you flip to HTC or Samsung.
Christ, who names this ****.
anyhow, which is the newest? How can you tell? I dropped out of nuclear motorola school physics 303.

Logic would dictate the one on the bottom since it's got an "02" on the end of it.
So far logic hasn't really proved to work with these phones yet... I'm still working on it though. Could be me..
A quick search shows which file is which.
The first one is a fast boot file to get you back to .173.
The one that ends in 02.xml gets you back to .744.
I didnt search for the other file.
.173 is the latest official firmware, so use the first one

yes, a hundred times, the update is sitting there, and everytime i click it to download via wifi or any connection, it downloads and then tells me that message
if you have a custom recovery or S-Off i think it makes sense that it cannot appy the update.
I suggest you return your phone to stock, or use a custom ROm based on the latest official ICS.
Other than that, my stock phone was updated without problems, and im on O2 as well

Try running the ruu again, sometimes it fails midway but shows as complete
Update
I tried to do the same thing and you won't be able to use twrp if you do,
not compatible with the stock rom. On top of that, I tried to run the. 3.15
Ruu and it wouldn't work saying the hboot was not correct, however
both are 2.09.
