Officially, Google Play is the market you should use.
If you install applications from other sources, you run the risk of installing trojans and other viruses.
It has several other sites that offer applications that are in the same Google Play, but may contain problems.
Be aware of this.
Thanks guys but am looking for more markets
if u know other good markets please name them here

I have a HTC Hero but I can't see even ONE paid application in the App Market. I bought this device from Dubai (someone got it from UK - unlocked version). I really want to have paid applications on my HTC Hero, but so far no luck
Can anyone help me with that? I tried searching the forums for such issues, but didn't found any proper solution/fix to that.
If you are in a region where Google have not officially "launched" the Market, you won't see paid apps. You need to use the market enabler to spoof the Market into believing you are in a region where paid apps are available.

at the moment there are also some problems with the market in germany, some apps are missing..
Or you can always wait for Android 1.6 (Donut)...

Hi, I currently own the Sony Tablet P Japanese model. The thing is that I actually brought it so I could play Crash Bandicoot on it. Well, to my surprise Crash Bandicoot was not pre-installed into it. It has a golf game pre-install in place of Crash Bandicoot. I was wondering since the Sony Tablets got rooted now, would there be a way for me to get Crash Bandicoot?
I am actually quite new to the Android scene being the Sony Tablet P as my first Android device, so I hope you could forgive me for my ignorance.
Crash is on the Playstation store and does'nt require root, here in the UK it was available as a free download but can now be purchased.
Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the info, but I am afraid I currently live in Japan. I do not have access to the UK PS store. I have access to the US PS store and also the Japanese PS store and both of these stores do not have Crash available. At least since the last time I have checked it... f^^;
If Crash is on the UK PS store, I do have the option of making a UK PS store account... But I do not have a credit card or any other means into putting credit into a UK PS store account.
Could be a problem then, I have no idea how to get round that one, although I have seen other people in other forums presented with the same problem and have seen some very inventive solutions about account access - mostly in PS Vita forums - you could try looking here :-

Best of luck
you can search the apk file on the internet and install it on your tablet

Thanks for the advice, but I guess my question for this is that would the Crash Bandicoot apk file be different than the one that is on the Sony tablets? The reason I ask is because I seem to be about to find many Crash Bandicoot apk files and they are usually dated from before the Sony Tablets were released. (If I am not mistaken) I just want something compatible, I wouldn't like the idea of the game crashes or the controls are buggy. But anyway thanks for the info, I will give it a try when I have time and see how it goes.
i think those apk files are for play.... so the date are eariler
Hi All,
When i was recently in the US i was given an HTC EVO VIEW. I have now taken it back with me to the UK but unsurprisingly my Google Play application is the US version. I am using the same Google Play account as i do on my Xperia Neo which is the UK version so the account isn't the problem.
I have factory reset the device in the UK and the 'Android Market' app that is preinstalled is still the US version (and so is the 'Google Play' app that it is updated into) which means that some apps are not available, some say they are not compatible due to location, and everything is in $$$ instead of £££.
I would greatly appreciate it if anybody knows of, or could work out, a solution. I am a bit of a novice at this so a bit more of an explanation may be needed than the avaerage person on these forums would require.
Thanks,
Matt

Hello fellow S3 owners
I have recently got a nice new S3, and with it I got a free £20 voucher for the Play Store.
My question is very simple, what are the best paid app's on the market??
I already have paid versions of:
Titanium Back-up
Root Explorer
SD Maid
WhatGas Petrol Prices Pro
And have the free versions of:
BusyBox
Fancy Widgets
ROM Manager
SuperSU
XDA Developers App
Any advice or help would be great as I am now kinda stuck as to what to buy with my un-hard earned money, lol.
Not really looking for games to be honest, I have a few free games that I love, just looking for utilities
well you have two options
1. the play store have a best paid tab so you can see all the popular ones
2. most of the paid app's have a free\trial app so you can try before buy, and off course you can revert your purchase 15 min's after buying.
it's very individual for example i've purchased TB pro and nova launcher prime and maybe you don't like the stock-looks of the launcher or don't change roms etc..
enjoy your new great phone anyways

Obviously I know about getting free trials of the app's before getting the full paid version, lol, I just asking people opinions on app's that they find useful on their own S3.
I bought app's for my Xpeira Play that I no longer need on the S3,
Well it depends on your use, what are the kind of things you need? an office editing? customization ?
as for me i bought the two i mentioned as long as some games, "android pro widget"(for contacts+calendar), UCCW for main widget and haxsync for facebook photo sync
Well at least definitely get the xda premium app

I have so many months ago pass to use Touchpal.......... from about three or four month the developers have choose to fill it the source by a lot of bloatware and useless background process (some can be disabled from option.. other no and it's a completely bloatware process and pop up in many parts of android) and from about one or two week ago i have decided to uninstall.
Now i will back to use the MM AOSP Keyboard included in lastest Cos13.1.2 over my OnePlus One but yet i have lost one or two feature of the Touchpal.................
I have tryed to see on Play Store......there's so many different keyboard.......... i have tryed to help me the choice using some Google Search about "Best keyboard october 2016" and similar but i continue to have some confusione on my head.
At this point i have tryed to open this thread:
How i can install on my phone ??? How you can suggest to me ? And because you suggest this respect other products ??
If it's necessary..... i can add some information about all problems i have obtain whit touchpal and i can try to list all bloatware i don't want..................

Are you use the Beta (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey.beta) or the latest stable (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey&hl=it) ?? Apparently there's the only 2 version on GooglePlay instead of Touchpal there's so many different and useless version only for make confusion
Swift key beta is what I used
