[Q] Htc 3d evo gsm bootloop - HTC EVO 3D

Hi guys,
i searched in the whole thread of htc 3d gsm rom, and tried a few of them, but i get stuk at bootloop (it goes for like 30\35 min).
can someone suggest a good rom?
here's my data
kernel 2.6.35.13-g47321df [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Oct 3 13:56:34 CST 2011
Build 1.20.401.8.CL105308 release-key
base_band 10.59.9020.00U_10.15.9020.06_M
thanks for your help and sorry if i posted in the wrong section.

Is this an ICS issue or a global ROM issue?

yeah tried ics rom (sense 3.5, 3.6, 4, senseless) ><

Umm, are you unlocked? If so, S-on or S-off? If you're S-on then try LeeDroid because that is the only ROM that easily worked for me on S-on. The others gave me a hard time and bootloops. finally, what's your bootloader number? If it ends at .0018 then you can easily downgrade and S-off your phone. Would make life much easier and flashing roms a charm. (Y)

Unlocked S-On and yes Hboot is 1.49.0018

Is your phone unbranded? Then you can very easily downgrade and s-off. Otherwise, stick to leedroid and enjoy.

yeah unbranded!
iìll s-off downgrade and try again! thank you !

NP! If it's GSM you should check out the auto-downgrade Vodafone + GSM Downgrade trick.

I'd recommend the KingCobra ROM. You can use that WITH s-on, however, you just need to go through 2 simple CMD commands before it properly boots.
It's very easy, try it out.

Hboot downgrade.does everything works ?

Hello.
I used the wire Trick.
My hboot Version is 1.53.0007
S-off.
I would like to downgrade my hboot to 1.49. And use revolutionary to unlock.
Can i downgrade to that hboot and flash newest Radio/ Firmware without Problems?
Why do i want to do that?
Becouse it is the only way to flash cm Roms.
After i do that can i flash ics custom Roms without Problems?
Does someone has a Download Link for 1
.49. Hboot ?

I think you can do that (I'm CDMA so ours is a little different). You could do the write trick and then downgrade your hboot after you get s-off. I think that would be easier.
Edit: I can't read.

Duh. I misread your OP. Afaik, that hboot will allow you to install the ICS custom roms too, but you may want to wait for a GSM user to confirm. Or try it and if not, you can always revert back. The beauty of being s-off.

My only hope is that hboot 1.49 works with newest Firmware and i can flash ics custom Roms without reboots and Problems.
What i want to Do is.
Downgrade to 1.49
Unlock with recolutionary
Flash newest Firmware and flash and use eny custom Rom i want

[Q] Bootloops when flashing roms with hboot 1.4 s-off

I've been trying to flash some of these new roms such as Cool ICS and SolidRom MyUI, both to no avail. I am on h-boot 1.4 with s-off. The last successful rom I had running on the phone was ICS MIUI. I had tried flash these roms on ext4 initially, then I tried twrp and both without success. Any tips/suggestions to get one of these roms to work?
Do I need a newer h-boot in order to flash these newer roms with newer kernels? If so, then how/what do I flash without losing s-off?
Well here goes nothing...going to try jbear's 1.58 hboot.
I still get bootloop after installing Cool ICS...
Getting bootloop with SolidRom MyUI as well. Could use some help please.

Yup, did a full wipe for prior to flashing every new rom. I have actually gotten SolidRom to work after installing the ICS firmware update img, but I still can't get Cool ICS to work.

If you are s-off then this should be easy to fix.
Some HBOOTs can only work for certain firmwares.
So if you want to run a ICS rom, you need to upgrade your hboot to either stock hboot 1.58, or Jbear's 1.58.5858
To upgrade your hboot, download the correct hboot from ramjet73's post here then rename the file to PG86IMG with the files extension as .ZIP
Place that on the root of your SDcard and boot into your bootloader. Accept the update, then restart your phone.
***EDIT***
I wasn't correct on some of the hboots and got some mixed up with the gsm EVO, for more info on hboots go to the link which ramjet73 has posted below.
I HOPED THIS HELPS!
MY PHONE
HTC EVO 3D

Then there are the newer firmwares that everyone has been having a fit over, 1.50, 1.58.0000, 1.53, 1.58.5858 (this is the Juopunutbear's custom hboot)
Those are the hboots that run only SPRINT/VM ICS roms.

You might want to read through this thread to get the correct information on CDMA hboots. Most of those you mentioned are Sprint bootloaders (the only VM bootloaders are 1.57 and JBear 1.57.5757) but 1.53 is for GSM phones only.

Leogy,

[Q] Is this safe? ICS to JB

Hello!
Is flashing a JB ROM on :
- S-ON
- 1.53.0007 HBOOT
safe?
I guess that after flashing I gonna have a different hboot (correct me if I'm wrong).
And how about flashing from JB to ICS?
Thanks for advices, I'm really new into android roms and can't afford a new phone if this one would be bricked.

You need to read the OP for the ROM. Usually they say what HBOOT is needed.
I can tell you that in order to go to JB you will need to S-Off first.

Sadly dev haven't mentioned Hboot nor s-off or s-on. That's why I'm asking
Btw. Isn't only difference between S-ON and S-OFF that you have to flash boot.img via fastboot usb if you're S-ON?

No. Look here for an explantion of s-on versus s-off.
At quick search in the thread you linked yieled people saying you need 1.39.
If your phone is the gsm version, you will have to downgrade your hboot to 1.49. Now in order to downgrade, you're going to need to be s-off
Sent from my Evo 3D GSM using Tapatalk 2
You're most likely going to end up bootlooping and confused. Go ahead and stay on stock rooted, and get S-Off, it's almost no risk, as failing to do the procedure right just means you have to keep trying.
you need non-ics bootloader so you need s-off first (wiretrick) then downgrade BL and then update radio.

[Q] HTC EVO 4G LTE Bootloop problem

Ok guys I am new to the whole rooting and flashing game and I think I might have messed up bad . I am currently experiencing a problem with the boot animation looping when I went to install a ROM I then proceeded to accidentally hitting factory reset in the bootloader menu. Now I have no backups of my shipped htc rom and I am currently lost. Couldn't really find my exact same problem in the forums so I figured I'd go and post this. I just want to get back to my shipped rom and want my phone working again, how do I do so???

Yes I have twrp installed so, have to put the Viper rom on my sd card and flash it using twrp?? lol sorry for bein sucha noobie, first time flashing roms and such
Yes download the rom, place it in your sd card, then got to twrp and install the rom, follow the s-on instructions ad it requires an extra step to flash the boot.img...

You need to unlock your bootloader, since it's showing relocked. Once you've done that, you can flash a ROM. In addition, since you're S-on, you will need to flash the ROM kernel separately from the ROM, so do as suggested above and install a ROM with an S-on kernel installer, or you'll have to fastboot flash the kernel for the ROM to boot.

I actually just started my own thread on this if you care to chime in with your knowledge.

Need the file for downgrading HBOOT to 1.49, please!

Last night I did the wire trick on my Evo3D to get S-OFF and everything worked pretty well, but I need to downgrade my HBOOT, 1.53.7 to 1.49 (for Jellybean roms) can someone please tell me what files I need to Do it and where to get it. I tried to downgrade when I was rooted s-on but nothing worked (I couldn't even change my Cid...) Anyway now I'm S-OFF, my Cid is HTC__001, in bootloader "juopunutbear" is replacing the "unlocked" text.. I'm currently on YodaICS 8.0 rom...
Thanks in advance..
