[Q] Porting Battery % from Note ICS - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys!!
I noticed that Samsung has released the ICS update for the Galaxy Note!
I've seen many videos on youtube and discovered that they have introduced an option that allows to show Battery % in the status bar, without flashing anything or without rooting! Just like on iOS.
Here it is a screen:
So I'm wondering if anyone can port it (I mean the option in the menu) to the Galaxy S2 Stock FW!
The option is located under Settings-->Display-->Show Battery %

Um... you don't seem to realize that to apply such a port, you would need to be rooted. And there exist many such mods for battery percentages already.

Yeah you are right, but I would prefer this mod, because you have the possibility to switch on and off whenever you want!
Moreover it displays also the % symbol, while all the mods that are out now only display the number without the % symbol.
Yes, I know I'm maniacal
PS. Is not a problem to root the device for me, as I'm already rooted, I just said it to make a difference between the battery mods that you generally flash through recovery and this option

Ohhh... I see. You want the menu option to turn it on and off. Sorry, I misunderstood.

So the note got blue icons after ics update?

This is what I would like to have on my SGS2.
The image is from the Galaxy S3 but Samsung made this feature available also on the Galaxy Note with the latest update to ICS, while in the Galaxy S2 there is no such an option, even with the latest XWLPD Firmware!!

I just installed XXLPW which also provides the option to enable the display of the percentage number close to the battery icon. Things are advancing ...

[Q] Touch Key Notifications

Hello I'm new to Samsung Galaxy Ace forums. I got the phone a couple of days ago So far it has been great.
The only thing I kinda miss from my previous phone is LED notifications. I did a little research and found an app (here in XDA and in the Android Market) called BLN or Backlight Notifications. The app is supposed to be used on the Samsung Galaxy S series phones with modified kernel (BLN-enabled kernel). Those phones, obviously, don't have LED either. The kernel mod and the app allow for the use of touch or capacitive buttons backlight as a LED notification.
Would it be possible to do such modifications to Samsung Galaxy Ace kernel? I mean, there's hope it can be done? I don't wanna waste anyone's time but I think it would be great to have this feature on our phones

yes it's possible.
if u wanna use stock rom, then get "CF ROOT KERNEL" (pls search in the forum here )
otherwise, Cyanogenmod rom comes with a kernel which has BLN enabled.

Why no buttons on pulldown screen?

I used to have a Galaxy S on t-mobile and loved it. Recently picked up the razr and the one thing that is really annoying is that the notification bar "swipe down menu" from the top of the screen has no buttons to turn gps on/off, etc.
Is there any way to get these buttons on here?
No idea why in the hell they would omit that feature....

It's actually a TouchWiz (Samsung's Android skin) feature that Cyanogenmod incorporated. Bottom line: not stock Android, and not on Motorola's skin.
cm? Cyanogyn mod?
Now that i think of it i did have a custom rom flashed on there but i know it wasnt cyanogyn, it was one of the stock ones with voodoo on it so it would run faster.

Galaxy S has the options in the pulldown by default; most ROMs will incorporate it, though, since it's a nice feature. It's not something in stock Android, though.
Best thing for now is the power control widget till our phones can get bootloader unlocked and development for roms can begin. I too had that previous. I just use thd widget for now
Available in the Market as always for example via Widgetsoid.
How many times will I have to say that for people to understan, unbelievable.

Widgetsoid seems like a great app with a lot of potential and nice customization features, but on the Razr you can't toggle directly from the notification bar with it. Instead clicking on the toggle icon will popup another window to toggle the setting on or off. That and I haven't been able to change the colors of the toggles in the dropdown so that it's readable.
Notification toggle is the closest I've found. Each toggle takes up a line but you can actually turn the item on or off straight from the dropdown.

Flash Jkay deluxe framework and then get the options app (needs to be purchased). Jkay framework can change almost if not all parts of the interface.

Not for what you are asking for. (replacing existing battery icon)
If JKay doesn't work out, you could try downloading and using GSam Battery from the play store. It gives you the green circle battery meter you're looking for, albeit on the left side of the notification bar. You can then choose to hide the original battery meter, if your ROM allows it. (I know AOKP ROMs do) Doesnt really qualify as a workaround, but hey..

Don't worry...it's normal Omega has it's own battery animation.Flash a different ROM nd it will go back to stock. Also, the triple click is there to invert colors on your phone. This is a Omega feature, too.

so is there any way to turn this off because if the phone is off then why does it let me invert colours, also has this happened to you and how long till it goes back to original. thank you
On my CM 10.1.3 I can choose the battery icon style at settings > status bar > battery status style. Don't know about Omega though.

i really hate how it just appeared out of nowhere, i mean it was stock and then it just changed
It's part of the ROM. Every ROM has it's own appearance modifications. Look on Omega ROM thread, perhaps there's a modification to change the animations to stock. Worth a shot.

[Q] Imperium ROM v20.3 for Galaxy S3 I9300

Hello everyone.
I have a few questions after i recently installed this wonderful ROM on my S3:
1) When i try to change the color of the Notification panel clock, Network bars and Wi-Fi signal nothing happens (Using the Wanam Xposed Application). The only thing i can change is the batter icon colors. Is this a bug that can be changed later or am i doing something wrong? (Didn’t see an option to change the alarm clock color icon as well )
2) I have installed the ROM using the Imperium logo when you boot your phone but although its very nice its a bit noise when starting up. I have looked in the Imperium ROM features but i couldn’t find the stock Samsung startup logo in the download options. Can i get the stock startup logo and sounds? If not which one do you recommend downloading that is less noisy?
3) In all my stupidity i have installed the ROM with the stock music player (should have picked Apollo ) and not i regret it. Is there any way to get installed? Also, when i installed the ROM i thought i saw a sound mod that made the sound clearer or something cant remember what it was. Does this mod runs by default with any player or do i need a special kind of player to benefit from it. If so how do i get it?
I really appreciate all your help and im sorry about the noob questions
Thank you and regards.

Oh and i forgot to mention one more thing: when you press the Home button while youre in an application it doesnt go directlly to your Home screen tab but the tab where you were before starting the application. Is there an option for this as well?
Im sry to post here and i guess ppl who can help about this are mostly on the development thread but i have tryed to post there but im not allowed since im a new user
So can anyone please help with the above points or do i really need to make 10 posts so in can write in the developers thread where i should have been asking in the first place. Searching for every point of my issue on this forum is to much trouble for not to mention i dont think i would be able to find anything that specific.
Please try imperium v21. I tried them all ... And I mean all of the Roms .. Stock and nodded and this one is the best. Smooth as hell and no battery drain... With almost 4hrs of screen on... Battery is lasting almost 1 day.
Is the best ROM I ever used on s3 i9300. International model.
After 1 night of sleep the battery drain is 0.8%/h... Can't get anything better than this one.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I have the Imperium 2.1 rom too, and my battery is awful. over one night the battery drains 20% with nothing on (wifi etc.)
