S4GRU has posted and updated LTE schedule for sites going live in May. NYC/NJ, and other areas are about tro go live....as I have said the LOS and dropped calls recently picking up probably is related to NV. In January in some places I got 1MB up, and down loading on 3G.
This is for all of you whiners complaining that Sprint won't have LTE up any time soon. This is also for some of you would be getting that EVO 4GLTE early....don't fret you will be vindicated. BTW you guys that went to Verizon, and are losing your unlimited data....here's mud in your eyes.ROFL....Just kidding come on over the speeds are just fine lol
This is a lovely time to be on Sprint here in NYC...LTE lighting up, and unlimited data to enjoy it at a great price.....
That interactive map is pissing me off lol, I swear I'm logged in but I can't view it.
I think I see a blue marker over Philadelphia there but I wonder if that is really there or proabably for the northern Maryalnd/Baltimore area?

Saw this going on right outside my work today. And according to s4gru, it seems to be the location of a sprint tower. (There's no other towers anywhere near, and the map shows this as the location). Maybe good?

Hope this is right!! I'll have LTE where I live right outside Atlanta even though Wimax could never make it to me. My girlfriend has full Verizon LTE bars at my house so having Sprint LTE there too will be awesome!! Just hope that Sprint LTE speeds are as good as Verizon here....

I just got 17.12mbps on speedtest.net. Pretty damn awesome in my book. That's faster than Comcast's performance tier speed. Such a sweet phone.

8.16mbps accross the river from cincinnati. not too bad. although the 4g coverage in the northern kentucky/greater cincinnati area is spotty at best.
Here in Columbus I get 11mbps and 1.6, at my house, at my buddies house who lives right under a tower I get 13-14 mbps and 1.75mbps. It is pretty fast here.

I was up in Wilmington on Sunday and did receive some 4G love while there: 7.11 down, 1.47 up, 201ms. Not bad, I guess (better than 3G ). Just curious about the longer ping....

Yea, ping is always weird. I don't quite understand how 4g works really as far as towers go. I live in Vancouver WA and I usually connect to somewhere in Kansas, usually Wichita. I ping that at around 150Ms. Kinda crazy. If anyone had anymore info on this I would love to learn about it. Like why I'm connecting to a server in Wichita, when I live in Vancouver.
Also, I work for Comcast and we have 100mbps package but only 10 up. Frontier (Verizon) has a maximum 35mbps upload though, which is a hard sell. Lol. That's the only thing frontier has over Comcast though. ;-)

Sounds like Austin is saturated. When I first connected my EVO a year ago I was getting 9-10mb downloads. Now I am getting 2mb/1mb with EVO or Photon.

My LTE is on in St Louis MO now. Very cool. I'm at 11 mbps down. That's equal to my wifi here at home.

Okay well for one, your icon at the top says LTE. and for two the upload speed. THE ONLY TIME upload is even near that speed on hspa is in SMALL towns. Big citys ive never seen anything passed 1mb down or a half a meg. u are on LTE

Yep. It seems I'm actually on the fringes of it. A friend of mine says he got a stronger signal on 37th ave on the dolphin. Like 30 megs down stronger lol

I noticed I don't get LTE signal anymore. Chances are like I said they were testing for deployment.
AT&T supposedly going to turn on LTE on roughly 150 towers from Jupiter,FL and south. They turned on LTE at new Marlins stadium opening day.

Yeah, strange KC north doesn't have as much. According the KC Star, Sprint will be upgrading that area soon.

Under mobile network in settings, make sure you have it set to cdma AND LTE. that is all you need to do I believe. Then when your phone can find the signal it'll display 4g in the top bar.

It's says "CDMA - eHRPD" which I guess is the same? How do you change it if that is wrong?
Man that map shows Lewisville covered all around with LTE! My upgrade needs to hurry.
You were under About phone-network. Look right under bluetooth in the wireless settings group at top. You should see Mobile Network. Under there you will see cdma/LTE option.

Considering that Kansas City is Sprint's headquarters, I find it pretty pathetic that their entire metropolitan area isn't completely covered. They should take care of their home market first IMO.

I remember when WIMAX first rolled out, i looked at the coverage map and noticed when i zoomed in that there was supposed to be full coverage except crappy san bruno...i'm i'm hoping they do a better job with LTE this time around =P

I called sprint to complain about network issues and was told that they are upgrading the towers. He said it should be done on Oct 17th. So I guess that confirms it for me

What network issues? The network has been behaving itself as of late. Then again I'm over by 30 Rock so we get decent connectivity/bandwidth.

Sometimes companies tell you what you want to hear to silence you. Are they working on towers? Yes. Will it roll out in October for NYC? Probably not.
Just like my ISP telling me I'm having slow speeds because of a "regional Internet problem" with THE internet. Yeah right. -_-

They also said progress was beginning to be held up and delayed as the roll out continues. I hope to God they stay on schedule so I can dump this Verizon 4G jet pack.

With the launch of LTE, DFW was on the list of having LTE. Phone never connected to LTE. After serveral phone calls, I was told the same thing, that the networks where being upgraded and scheduled to be completed in December. I see LTE every now and then now, but not long enough to get any use out of it. Speed Test showed it to be slower than 3G when I was able to connect. I got credit for 4 months (AUG -NOV) until LTE is fully up and running.

how do you know that it will be live in 2 weeks?
If Sprint gave you an exact date, and especially from a representative over the phone, they're definitely lying to you.
While I seriously doubt that's the date, I sure hope it is. I am sick of slower than dialup speeds on 3G and constant weak signal.
NYC and several other major cities have been announced to go live within the next several months, which means NYC can get it earlier than scheduled.....Finally able to use phone to the fullest
Has anyone in the NYC area gotten LTE signals yet? Wonder if they will test it before going live.
