Note

Is this still a slow card. It says ultra high speed but isn't class one the slowest sd card?

NO this is UHS-1 class which is different from the standard class 6 or class 10 rating.
UHS class 1 is actually faster then a standard class 10 card.

Class 10 speeds even though it is rated class 6.

dang, i just ordered my Samsung Class 10 this morning..
oh well -- good find op!

This $36 Class 10 PNY outperforms my SanDisk Ultra by 20% in all of about 15 tests.
http://tinyurl.com/3r9gvp6

I have this in my galaxy note which supports uhs-1 best it does is 12 Mb/s writes about 18 Mb/s reads - really only class 10 range. From what I understand the samsung class 10 is just as good...if not better. I have a one year old lexar that is just as good.

While I see the need for faster read/write speeds....can the phone actually benefit from such speeds? I had a class 4 on my old phone and i felt it worked fine...
I guess I'm asking If i'll see a notable difference in operation between a 32GB C4 and a 32GB UHS1?

I see the the 3D comes with a 8GB class 4 card. I am currently using a 16GB class 2 card in my EVO I stole from my wifes epic. This maybe a silly question as of yet but does anyone know if the phone will truely need class 4 or will I be fine using a class 2?

i doubt that it would "need" a class 4.. its mostly your preference.. i prefer a class 4 over 2 any day.. i was planning on putting my 4gig class 4 in to replace the 8gig that came in the phone if it was a class 2.. i like having the improved speeds on the card..

My bad guys. I went to RS to look for 3D cases last night <insert I can't wait joke here>. I asked if they had any 32 GB cards and they said no. I was over by the camera section when I asked and a girl at the counter held up a package and said it was 16 GB. I would have looked at the class if I was actually planning to buy. I already have a 16 GB class 6 for my Hero. I never actually saw what class it was.
Anyways, I found this deal right now on Google Shopping. 16 GB for 24.99 PNY brand Class 10.

That's the one I got last week. Anyway the class 4 will make a difference vs class 2 in recording videos and speed of recording pictures. Some cameras will only record 30 second clips of HD video unless you have a class 4 or higher inside, and there is a reason for that.

Hmm, I've been looking for a cheap class 10 32gb.
They also have a class 4 32gb sandisk for the same price. Looks like I'm going with the PNY.
Not bad for 59.99 but I didn't like how its only rated at 10mb/sec write speed. I went for the Adata one instead which is rated at 17mb/sec write speed for $10 more.
Sadly they're both out of stock again
Adata: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211558
PNY: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178381
And Aznmode is correct, the Adata model is rated at 17mb/sec on writes where the PNY model is 10mb/sec on writes. For only $10 more I'd definitely go with the faster Adata.
I've been using the PNY card for about the last month. It works well - my only complaint is that it doesn't appear to actually be class 10. Testing in the phone - and testing in a card reader, the best write speeds I could get were consistently between 7 to 8 mb/sec.
I've been able to play 1080P clips flawlessly with diceplayer though - so I ended up keeping the card. I've seen no instances where the lesser speed held me back.

Wow glad I ordered mine last week (just received this morning) and it was only $69.99. I bet now that we got s-off and nand backup and roms require a lot more space now that 32gb are being purchased left and right. Anyway reading from the reviews some are getting write speed of 15mbps on the Adata which is awesome.
Thanks for the great find, I just ordered one. It's gonna' be great to finally not have to worry about filling my 16gb card with nandroid backups, or theme's/apk's.
Hopefully this card works great, my 16gb hasn't given me any problems, but it's time to upgrade = )
What program are you guys using to test card speed. I downloaded SD Tools from the Market and it doesn't read right. I have a class 2 that reads 10mbps but take a while to finish while my class 10 adata gets the same 10mbps but finishes fast.

Awesome Deal on 16 GB MicroSD

Looking to get a decent sized MicroSD for your Evo? I found a great deal for ya. It's 16 GB card, granted, it's only a Class 2, but it's yours for just $17.98. (shipping/taxes included)

i would not use a class 2 on the 3vo the sd will be so slow i have a 16g class 4 and it is slow for me which is why i bought a class 10 16g on amazon for i think about 25 bucks
With BootManager writing roms to SD, and our so so Input/Output, a class 2 is not a wise choice for our device. For only a few more $ one can find a class 6 SD card, also 16 GB. You just need to search around. Ebay and Amazon can be sketchy sometimes but read through feedbacks. If the item looks to good to be true, then it is, lol. Heck, our device comes stock with a class 4, thats sprint shelling out a few more $ because it needs it. Not because they felt like giving.
I don't think I could ever go back to anything less than a class 10 after having this 32 GB A-Data class 10 card.

Class defines minimum write speed to the card (if there are no other bottlenecks like USB 1.0). A Class 4 card will write at a minimum of 4MB/s. For me this card averages 4.9MB/s write on a test.

or this samsung features that locks it down to internal only when burst mode...cant seem to find a way to save burst mode on SD card.. i recall having it on my GS3 but i had a custom ROM...
im reading that the SanDisk pro says you can save pictures using burst mode...
16GB Samsung class 10. Working great so far. Gallery is super fast opening, and browsing through pictures and videos. I've seen some reviews on the Note 3's gallery where it took two minutes to open for some people. I have around 2,000 pictures and maybe 50 videos clips, and it's flawless accessing them all.
