Cleanrom 4.5 help - HTC Rezound

So I am trying to flash to this from the ruu 3.14 leak. Do I just install the kernel and go from there or?? I am very confused as to why the kernel is there for 3.14. If I already have 3.14 do I just need to install the massive cleanrom 4.5 file and ph98 file, flash the 4.5 in recovery then reboot into bl and update the boot.IMG that way? Sorry I am a prior original droid user of 3 years and HTC is still very new to me
from my ADR6425LVW using XDA

If you're on the 3.14 ruu you already have the kernel so you just need to flash the rom in recovery.

Here are a couple of screen shots of what I've got. And 2.11 hboot as well.

Also, please confirm your hboot - 2.11 only works properly with the GB firmware. You should be on 2.21 or 2.25 hboot with the latest leaked firmware.

What is soft? and when I boot into bl it says hboot 2.11... If I'm on this hboot and running 3.14 ruu then I should be having some sort of problem right?

Not sure what you mean. RUU 3.14 contains the leaked Ice Cream Sandwich stock ROM. So you are now running the latest leak, and you probably will not experience any issues with your radios. When you flash any of the ICS ROMs, just follow the instructions for "s-on & latest firmware."

I just found it easier to relock and flash 3.14 again and taking the s-off method to do what i want to now

Root Hboot 1.50 HTC Method (HELP!)

So last night I used the 2.08.651 temp root and was able to backup my apps (even though im on 2.17). Now I'm wondering how I can permanent root on 2.3.4 with 2.17.

I'm a little confused with that guide. Can someone help me out?
(like must i flash the 2.08 RUU?)
My EVO is on:

HBOOT 1.50
2.17.651.5
Welcome to the club of "No permanent root" (yet) if you have an Evo 3d with HBOOT 1.5.
As far as I know, the best we can have is "temp root" using HTC's "unlock" method. I'm in the same boat as you. I might me wrong, but I don't think flashing 2.08 will do you any good.

You will have to use htcdev.com method for unlocking.
http://htcevohacks.com/htc-evo-3d-hacks/how-to-root-evo-3d-2-08-651-2-and-later-htc-unlock-method/
Zedomax I believe has the best guide for rooting 2.17 hboot hboot 1.5.
No you don't need to flash 2.08. With s-on for some roms you will have to unzip the ROM and put the boot.img in the SDK tools or whatever folder adb and fastboot are in. 2.17 has some very stable roms, check out Cleanrom and meanrom from mikeyxda
I've also got some updated Flashing/notes (see my signature) that go along with Zedomax's guide.

Assuming u have Hboot 1.50, you need to re-lock the bootloader via fastboot command then run Full 2.17 Ruu (this will wipe the phone) , run the unlock code again & re-root. (same link in my signature)

Why do you want to upgrade to the new software package? Most ROMs are using the 2.08 software base for their builds.
Good thinking..

EVERYTHING DUDE! lol
Important Information Before Flashing
Important Information Before Flashing
Try flashing the ROM before running the update. If all seems well, then you probably don't need to bother flashing this. If, on the other hand, weird things happen, you may need to flash the firmware update below.
To flash this ROM, you may need to flash a firmware update. If you are on HBOOT 1.40 Revolutionary S-OFF (or are 1.50 S-OFF), you're all ready to go. Just place freeza's firmware update ZIP file in the root of your SD Card. Then boot into the bootloader, and follow the update directions onscreen.
If you are on 1.50 HTCDev unlocked, you will need to downgrade your HBOOT to 1.40 by using Unknownforce's HBOOT downgrade method. I have a Live CD in my thread that's already set up and ready for the downgrade process (for people not comfortable in Linux).
This method does require you to purposely brick your phone. You will unbrick shortly afterwords. I promise you that it's not as scary as it seems!
There are people in both threads that are more than willing to help you.
I'll try to keep this post updated as I hear more about the situation with the new ROM.
Happy flashing!

You can read this thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535987 ...
Get a new unlocktoken from HTC, flash that via fastboot, reboot into bootloader, and then lock it
Code:
fastboot oem lock
That should fix your problem, before that, you would want to flash a corresponding(Your country specific rom through bootloader). that would fix most issues. do not try to change the cid to anything if you do not intend to give it for repairs... If seriously want to change the cid, then try to edit it with a hex editor.
Hi,
Thank you for the links. Although o have tried them. Doesn't work.
I was able to flash leedroid without problems and I do fastboot flash the boot.img.
The problem is I can't flash anything else. Trying ARHD or some other tweaks but it always says "install aborted" on recovery.
I cannot relock as well. RUU's are slowly downloading and will try to punch that in as soon as it is finished.
As for the pg86img it does nothing.
Also use free evo. It rebooted to the old HTC bootup animation then rebootes back to Leedroid

I have been trying to fix this for two days now. I unlocked my bootloader, rooted phone, installed custom ROM. If you could get your phone to boot you could use Moonshine. It's Windows friendly and takes about five or ten minutes to complete. Using Dirty Racun, just follow the steps. Part of the process involves downgrading with RUU. Once you're done you can flash whatever ROM you want and not have to worry about installing the kernel separately.

[Q] Moonshine to HTCdev unlocked. SOLVED

See post 3 & 4 for current situation.
I have a HTC Droid DNA running rooted stock 3.06 which was flashed viva TWRP 2.6.3.0
I have (had) moonshine S-off and decided I wanted to be unlocked viva HTCdev. So I flashed 1.15 stock hboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PL83IMG.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Click to collapse
That went went well. Then I tried to flash stock recovery, as I was told that I needed it to unlock viva HTCdev, from fastboot. I got an error in trying to do so. I can't remember what error as that was a couple days ago. The phone boots and works great, I can get in to recover (still TWRP 2.6.3.0) I have tried to use Supercid (cid-2.apk), and I can't get it to work. So here is what I have to work with, and I'm not exactly sure where to go from here
Edit: The Rest of the Process
So after flashing the 1.15 hboot it locked me, as seen in the photos. Then a few days later I ran the 1.15 RUU. Still S-off, I re-downloaded SUPERcid and it worked without a hitch. Confirmed the 22222222 Cid in command prompt, then followed the process for unlocking viva HTCdev.
