Hi, I have a device labelled Superpad VI. everything was okay but when i tried firmware update, its wifi stopped working and started giving "error" when i try to turn it on. Now I have just figured out that the original superpad VI has ralink wifi chipset whereas this device has realtek rtl8188cus chipset. so when i try to install superpad VI firmware, everything else works but wifi doesn't. Now can anyone please guide me how do I need to install the drivers for wifi? I have found the Linux/Android drivers from Realtek website but they need to be compiled. I know nothing about compiling/programming and Linux itself. can anyone please guide me?
The un-compiled drivers can be found here (under rtl8188cus) http://www.realtek.com/downloads/do...274&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true

sorry. I was confused what section to post this because it was a kind of development related question.
is this really so difficult that no one has even replied????
it is not difficult, people are getting too lazy to compile it. everybody in this forum should know how to do this, especially for the worlds most popular wifi chip... if they don't know, then they are just consumers. and not developers.

Hi
i have recently picked up a pandawill Gpad G10 telechips 8902 arm II based pad to mess around and try to learn some cool stuff (rooting flashing and the like)with save my dhd from being killed when working at the bench in the laboratory..
It shipped with eclair which had its limitations, i have succeeded in rooting the device and flashing a gingerbread rom onto the unit which is much nicer, is is a beta 2 release but largly does what i want but for one problem....
when the pad is plugged into the mains or connected to USB it is fine, you cn use the device as you should be able to, however, when running on battery power, the device if left goes into hibernation mode and will not recover..
whislt i appreciate this is a vague question i am gonna put it out there... is there anything i can do to remedy this problem ?
there are that many different versions of this pad and rebrands it is tough to know which roms will work... i have seen videos of g10's running cyanogen roms but the attempts i have made to install these have bricked the tablet, i have had to format the lot and start again from scratch..
any help humbly and gratefully received

Hey,
is there any solution for connecting to an ad-hoc-Network? On my HTC Desire i just needed to flash a zip-File, that activates Ad-Hoc.
It would be great, if it is possible.

Hey guys. First off I'd like to say that I'm fairly new to all this, so don't be to harsh Anyway. I just installed Android 4.0.3 for the Android Thinkpad, onto my HP Mini 210. It works great, its fast, its awesome. Problem is, the wifi driver. From all the research I've done, I've found out that the linux doesn't natively support the wifi card that the Mini comes with either. So, I went about trying to learn how one would install it in linux. The two links below are to the drivers and the readme for the driver I need to install.
xda forums won't let me post the links... but if you do a quick google search for "802.11 Linux STA driver" it'll be the first one to pop up.
I can't figure out how to install the driver. I feel like I've gotten so close. But my limited knowledge of linux has lead me to a brick wall. Please help me here! Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even if its a link to another forum or site.
