You post in wrong section, should be on general section.
Use streakmod recovery instead of cwm.
How you unmount your SD card? From MIUI settings or from recovery? Can you give more detail?
Or try to factory reset from dell recovery, hope that can help.

Problem with backup on CWM 5.0.2.7

Hello to all!
I have installed via ROM Manager the latest CWM recovery 5.0.2.7...
I have noticed that when I make back-ups, it doesn't take back up of /sd-ext and passes this step every time.
I have a 512MB partition for using S2E on CM7 if it does matter.
Is this a problem of crappy latest version of cwm or something's else?
In sd-ext are the applications on my partition?
Thank you a lot!
I am also having this problem. I've tried re-partitioning my SD card using 5.0.2.7 and no luck getting it to mount either.
Any help with this would be great!

I 've solved myself the problem by flashing CWM 5.0.2.0 via ROM Manager. I chose "Optimus one (Old BB)" and this flashed the bug-free recovery.
Now back up works like a charm!
Haha, That's exactly what I did.
I'm back up and running already on CM7 nightly #24.

Android problem

well, i tried to install cyanogen mod 7.2 official with no succes
i downloaded the files needed (gapps and cyanogen) put in sd card and i turn off phone then boot up again while pressing home.
i wipe factory reset + user data
then i went in sd card and install both gapps and cyanogen(first) afterwards i reboot the phone. my phone boot normally, it displays samsung and then it displays android and stuck on it..... and when i try to turn the phone off it turn on by itself again . i have to remove battery so that it wont turn on again... help plz need to know what to do ><
i bet u didnt do a " wipe cache partition" try it and report.....and remember that the first boot takes a bit long( the cm7 boot animation goes on and on )
and is your phone gt s5830 or gt s5830i???? bcoz the cm7 rom is ONLY for gts5830
reply fast...
Are you sure you did that with Cwm 5, and not the stock recovery???
If not, install Cwm 5, wipe everything, install Cm 7.2, reboot.
Then reboot again in recovery, and install Gapps.
Done!
Edit: Don not forget to mount system and data before flashing gapps.

anyone can tell me what to do plz? i just want to get my phone working again TT
Yeah right. Nowadays people never stop to amaze me. U want to flash cm yet u didnt even know what recovery u use. Didnt the tutoriual u followed mention anything about cm roms needs cwm recovery?
Now my advice would be flashing stock rom via odin and stay with it before u do any more damage to the poor phone. look in the sticky thread or in the dev subforum howto flash stock rom via odin.

nope however i flashed a kernel.sin through fastboot and is now on but if i go bk into recovery mode cwm will it say the same . i only wanted install the avid sound mod lol
You can now try to put the .zip file of your sound mod to internal memory which, as I understood is one large built-in memory card and try to install it from CWM, but remember to always make full backup in CWM recovery before flashing, as sometimes even a little mod can make phone stuck in boot loop etc.

CWM recovery says unable to open lunfile etc tho whatever that is as it didnt mount it hopefully ill try now n see if it mounts
Ok, later say the condition of phone - can you boot in system or CWM recovery or not and btw where do you get that error about mounting - in CWM recovery?

so far phone boots into system but if i go into cwm recovery it might not i dunno and yes says that error in cwm recovery etc hope it mounts lol
I think You need other kernel, but be careful and look for kernel that works with your phone model and Rom (which is stock Rom, as I understand) as modified kernels should always have CWM recovery which you need for that sound mod to be flashed from phone.

Sounds like either a bad Streakmod recovery flash or an internal SD problem. Have you bothered trying to flash anything else. Did you have Streakmod working fine with the Olleh ROM? We need more info...
Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk 2
or you can use the new CWM 6 ... i use it and manage to flash rom ...
i tried also clockwork mod recovery but it says misc missing and when i go in clockword mod recovery and select update.zip it starts installing but ends soon
yah streakmod working fine with olleh rom . but i want to install DSC rom V2.1 but the problem is how can i proceed . i used both clockwordmod recovery and streakmod recovery but both of them giving errors

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I believe you're going to have to replace the innerSD

/dev/block/mmcblk1p1
is the *external* SD card, check it first.
external sd is not in the slot maybe?

you probably have a bad recovery. use this guide to flash a new recovery, or go back to stock and reflash (if you so desire)
if you already know how to flash stuff, i recommend this version of CWM to flash before flashing some other ROM.
remember not to go back to the version of CWM that I linked after flashing a ROM
ill try that thanks
cwm installs fine still not mounting but in cwm sd will mount but when i try to flash gos in a loop (waiting for sd to mount) any ideas dont know if phone was rooted be for think someone tried to

Do you have a different SD card? If so, try that.
