I am running RC2 and I was wondering if there is a way to have my wired headset button function default to voice command instead of turning music on and off.

So i have 2 sets of headphones with mic and a button on them (different types) and i want to know how you can control what that button does.
Right now, it can :
answer calls when a call comes in and i press it once.
When i am in a call, and i press it once it mutes the call instead of hang up ( I want to be able to hang up!)
Play/pause music in meridian music player with 1 press
Skip song in meridian with 2 quick presses
previous song in meridian with 2 slow presses
So how can i make that one press during a call hang up instead of mute the microphone. is there an app or something that helps control stuff like this? i know when i had windows mobile there was an app that let me even configure even 3 consecutive quick clicks on the headphone button to launch an app or something. is it possible on android and the eris?
thanks for your help in advance.
forgot to add, i have a droid eris with kaos froyo v29
Usually those 3rd party headsets dont have any options to configure it to what the buttons do, if it was like a verizon headset or bluetooth piece it may have more configuration options.
I've seen some threads about CM supporting it on yhr g1 but haven't seen any rims for the vibrant that have this feature. Anyone know of any roms that have it already?
I have volume control on my headphones and I would like to use the physical volume switches as track switchers or a play/pause and a next track button. Thanks

Is there an mp3 playback app that lets you use the phone's volume rocker control to skip, forward or pause the track? I miss having that from my blackberry where it lets me skip or forward the track if i hold on to the volume rocker button and such.
Player Pro does. It's the best media player i've used.

Btunes also has the ability and also works with bluetooth remote options. Just wish they had more skins
Thanks guys, player pro works well for that one thing i don't like is that it turns on the screen as you change volume or track now from lock mode, not a deal breaker but i wish i can control that.
Since updating to ICS, a feature I really miss from GB is the turn over to mute funtion for SMS. Sure it works for a phone call ringtone, but that's all. Even trying to turn volume down dooesn't work (by the time i've pressed the volume rocker enough times to change to silent, the tone has finished!)
Anyone got any other ideas on how to mute an SMS notification quickly?
Get a short SMS notification sound
Sorry couldn't help it. But as soon as I press my volume button the sound mutes. Only have to press it once.

Hello guys, just got my s2 few days ago, i am experiencing low in ear volume during a call when using mic headphones, i tried another set and putting the volume toggle up to max but its still low.
I am currently on stock ics 4.0.4 with Siyah v4.1.5 kernal. I have tried changing the audio settings with extweaks also but no luck. Are there any permanent solutions for this problem?
Thanks
Have you tried increasing the volume using volume key when incall? Incall volume cannot be set using volume toggle/slider.
Also afaik incall volumes are different when on headset and on handset.

Seems issue with the headset then. Afaik is "as far as I know"
You have to individually set the incall volumes when you are on headset and when you are on handset.

If theres no fix for this, can someone recommend the best headphone set with mic for the s2?
