The camera protective glass can be removed, it is not glued, it have an adhesive like on the scotch, obviously much better.
Can be detached if you use an hot air jet from a hair dryer.
So, use a hair dryer to carefully heat the glass from the top of the camera sensor.
With a sharp blade try to detach the galas, do not use force on detaching process, after a while it should be removed by itself.
After detaching, put a scotch on the camera sensor, to prevent dust to enter until you finish cleaning glass process.
Clean detached protective glass carefully and put it back.
Attention to not touch the adhesive area from the glass, to not altered the adhesive.
Use a magnify glass for the operation. Ideally is a magnify lamp.
Use the hot air again, at the end to preheat the adhesive from the sensor and glass.
OH thank you, but i'm not so able to do this.
I want to know if the warranty can do this for me.

[P] Security foil question

Hello,
I guess I am not the only one who noticed this very odd effect that appears on the screen of the P
Here's a video showing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLcnhlw-wJ0
As far as I know, this is called the Moire effect and it is caused by the lots of thin diagonal lines that are present on the security foil above the display's glass(the foil it came with). These lines + the weird light gradients that they cause really make the image look bad for me, on an otherwise great display. I have understood that if you remove the security foil, these two problems would go away, however, I have a question:
I know that the glass on the P is shatterproof, but is it also scratch-resistant? Or is the security foil the only thing that's protecting it from getting a lot of scratches? In other words, is the foil the only one made out of scratch-resistant material, or is the glass scratch resistant aswell?
Thanks

Xp has mineral glass which makes it scratch resistant so u can go ahead n remove d foil aka screen protector however do keep in mind dat its mineral glass n not gorilla glass so rough use won't do.
Unless unavoidable pls try not removing d protector.

[Q] Using Xperia u with out screen protector

I want to take the screen protector off my st25i and i want to know if any one used it and doesn't have scratches on the screen glass, I hate that protector but I am afraid to remove it
I've removed it from day one and have it like that for almost a year. I only have one scratch because it was a big fall on a pointy rock. But I've taken care of my phone for all the time.
Does xperia u have shatter proof sheet pre-installed on it?, i don't recognize it on my phone

Yes, but Xperia U comes bundled with a screen protector to be installed, but I don't know if it is shatterproof.
Actually I never use screen protector and my phone is fine till now, it almost a year now

That's not what I meant with no shatterproof sheet. Almost all Sony (Ericsson) smartphones comes with a laminate sheet, which are glued onto the screen under the manufacturing process. The shatterproof laminate sheet is not the same as a screenprotector and is very easy to scratch. The laminate does often have more cons than pros, and thankfully Xperia U doesn't have one.
I am using my phone without screenprotector and I dont have any scratches yet.

I've also been using it without screen protector for quite some time.
It's quite tough phone, but I managed to break the glass of the screen. It doesn't affect in anyway the usage, and it's quite imperceptible, but in my opinion it doesn't make the phone less tough

Your Phone. If you live in a free word, what you do is up to you.
Can you tell me one good reason why you plan to remove it?
Have you damaged it already? Do you hate the Sony Logo that much?
Other than the above two, there are no sensible reasons which I am aware of...
Some say even with screen protector on top of anti-shatter sheet, it is too sensitive.
I have both, it is perfect.
You can put 2 screen protectors, and it would still work...
I'm not a big fan of the logo thing. I like a clean glass front like on the Nexus devices or the IPhone.
But I might in this case use the film until it scratch up then remove it just because It's there on the glass when I buy the phone.
And yes OP from what I heard the logo is printed on the film, not the glass
I also read that if you remove the anti shatter film, it will void your warranty.. I put a screen guard on top of the anti shatter film and it seems to work great and feels responsive..

Moto g4 plus camera glass scartch

Plz help me out my moto g4 plus camera glass has been scratch
That's too bad, nothing you can do. That's hard Sapphire, not just glass and you still managed to scratch it...
I keep keys, coins in different pocket, and don't leave the phone on hard surfaces with screen up / camera down (I have a glass protector on the screen side).
After doing some research on Google & our very own XDA I found out that the scratches are actually not on the camera glass but on the Oleophobic coating applied on the rear camera glass. There are lots of videos available on Youtube on how to remove scratches on mobile camera glass, the procedure usually needs regular white toothpaste or Rubbing Alcohol etc. My moto g4 plus's camera was giving blurred pics due to those scratches but I finally got rid of those issues. One thing is for sure that Moto has used a cheap quality Oleophobic coating on the rear camera glass & they must provide a replacement for that.

You get what you pay for, its a cheap phone bro
I have manage to protect my camera lens by this way. Hope it helps somebody. It is just a plastic screen protector trimmed to fit on the back of my rude case. It does the work perfectly. The only inconvinient, which I dont see a major thing, is that you have to remove it when shooting with the flash on.
By the way, there is not a single difference between pics taken with and without the plastic shield. (without flash)

Why is that? You want better coating, get a phone that cost double (Samsung S7, Apple iPhone 7).
You wanted a cheaper phone, Moto gave you that. Stop mixing in your pocket keys and coins with the phone.

Hahaha, u made me laugh for no reason at all Bro, even my old Samsung Mini still runs without a single scratch on the camera lens so hows that possible at such a low selling cost??? As I've said earlier its about the quality of oleophobic coating used, no matter how much care u take it'll still get the scratches, if you dont believe thn please check other forums on Moto G4 plus.
And my G4 Plus has NO scratches. It just means that, by random, you abused more the G4 and you don't even know how you did it. Or that the cheap phones don't have any coating.
I don't need to read any posts, I can just turn the phone the other way and see the clean lens.
Don't like the coating? Great, use alcohol or toothpaste and remove it.
I just use a transparent/cello tape to cover the whole camera lens part. It is not even noticeable. Camera works perfect ,no focusing issues or any other issue. And it is TOO cheap. And if get scratched anyhow, just replace it. Why to buy any expensive lens protector if it can be protected in almost free.
The best way to avoid scratches is by not keeping your camera lens facing the surface. Another solution is, buy an ARMOUR Cover which totally keeps the lens from external scratches, as it is thick enough it avoid the lens contacting any surface.. If you're too used to keeping your phone with coins or keys in your pocket, well you need to change your habit then
HOPE THIS HELPS !
I & also many Moto G4 Plus users have experienced the very same issue (camera glass scratches). The moto doesn't take any responsibility on that issue as i have confirmed the same with the service center guys as it comes under physical damage and said he doesn't want to replace it under the warranty. So I got it replaced for RS. 1860/-. Only the camera glass can't be separated from the back panel (inner), so, they replace the whole back inside panel. I changed it & bought camera skin protection for it.
