Hi, i install android 4.0.2 from : samsung-galaxy-s2-android.com version 1.1 and the video at youtube and other sites didont work all time. So i install WanamLite dxlp9 v11.5 but i didn't make full wipe( i mistake) and now i dont know what i need to do and now i can't turn on my phone (it's blocked at where is the yellow triangle from root). At pc i can't connect and when i tre to make : mount/sdcard i have an error.
Please help me!
i forgot i have a Galaxy s 2 phone
Turn off your phone.
Press vol up + Power + Main button at the Same time.
You will get to recovery.
Now flash again.
I can't make this because my phone didn't won't to mound sdcard i don't know why
what do you mean by "didn't won't to mound "
pull the battery and insert, the Vol-up+ Home+Power keep holding for 5 seconds,
you should be able to enter recovery
i mean that when i try to install zip from sdcard it wrote that: "E:Cand't mount /sdcard/"
Oh that sounds not good. Do you have an external micro sd to insert? Then copy the rom to the external.
if you are not able to install, first try all the wipe and reboot, and chek phone boots or not.
Or you have to reflash your phone with odin. Maybe the sd card is broken?
yes i try but it not connecting at pc
sounds like a break.
Can u get in to download mode?
In Download mode intra si in recovery fara probleme
The best solution for u right now is to try JIG.
I'm not sure but i was trying to flash bootleader, pit and do RePretition.
GL =]]
where i can by jig ?!
USB RECOVERY JIG search ebay .
http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&gs_n...f.,cf.osb&fp=11259e1e762a6894&biw=893&bih=471
But jig is unlikely to work as you have ICS .
jje
thanx
I rezolve my problem i can't connect to pc because i didn't have install kies(cz i reinstall windows)
So thank all of you

btw: super noob here
ok so i am getting this error and i dont know why
i rooted my phone and when i tried to upgrade to 2.2 (using odin) i got this:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
(Invalid argument)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount SDCARD:
it takes me to recovery mode and just stays there with 5 options (reboot, apply sd card: update.zip, wipe data/fact. reset, wipe cache, format internal sd).
the worst part is that i found out (after research, as thus i could be wrong) that i must have somehow gotten euro firmware because my up key moves down in recovery mode and my power key isnt the "ok" key used to select anything in this damn menu!!!
ive only rooted my phone...and i got the regular update.zip (saved to internal like instructed) like everyone else (i think) + tethering and set cpu (saved zip to my external sd card)
so....i cant exit recovery mode, i cant even select any of those 5 options
i can turn off my phone, but it immediately goes back to the recovery page with the error
please please please help
mom bought me this for my birthday like 3 days ago and the walkthrough seemed easy!
i will pay and bring my phone to you if you can fix it lol
what you should do is boot into download mode and flash the stock rom.. it will unroot u but its better then not havin a fone to root at all right?
if u have troubles booting into download mode try holding down the up and down volume keys while the fones off then plug the usb cord into ur fone it shood bring u to the download mode screen.. but make sure u hold the volume buttons down before u plug it in
thanks....i would really really appreciate it if you told me how exactly to flash a stock file (put it in the odin thingie? PDA, MODEM, or CSC? is this the right file: T959UVJFD.tar? please let me know
There is a walkthrough on this site on how to use odin to flash back to stock. I believe you have the right file there. But you will probably have to flash the pit file as well. I would just to be safe. This will set everything back to stock. Odin can be picky, and make you want to cry. But relax, your still ok. You can get into recovery mode, so you should be able to access download mode. Do a little reading on the site. You should be able to find the links to odin. If you can't, pm me, I will help. I've used odin before, and even though this is scary right now, you need to stay calm. Panicking isn't goin to help. I am new on the site so I can't post links. If you can't find them, contact me, I will e-mail them to you or some thing. Good luck!
Did you get it figured out yet? ODIN should fix you up. Flash the stock build here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739091 just download this, unzip it and load the pit file into the pit field and the larger file in the pda field in odin. Make sure to have this loaded into odin before plugging your phone in or it might not work. To get into download mode just power off your device and hold volume up and down then plug in your usb cable.

If I remember correctly, /dev/block/mmcblk refers to your SD cards. mmcblk0 is the internal (16GB) SD card, and mmcblk1 is whatever extra microSD card you have installed. /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 is the first partition on your internal SD card.
What most likely happened is you messed up your Odin installation, and probably chose to "reformat partitions" when you flashed, wiping your internal card, and thus essentially making your phone unbootable in its current state.
Why you needed Odin to root is beyond me, yet so is why someone would do something that could cause irreparable harm to their device do so without understanding what they were doing. If you are going to ignore the warnings attached to flashing unsupported ROMs (such as flashing an unreleased testing ROM onto a completely different device than it was intended), then you ought to at least understand what it is that you are actually doing.
Also, what does this have to do with development? Aren't there similar posts in the Q&A forum about people who have done the same thing?
that´s SD problem 100% sure. yesterday i had this problem and solved with a newone SD card. (older was 512Mb and not working, newone is 1gb and all was ok)
Were you trying to use Eugene's files? If so you need to follow the directions in his thread.

I got a same problem. As you said I tried start download mode. But the Android system recovery <3e> page still appearing. Firstly battery picture appear and then system recovery. Is there another way to boot into download mode?
There is the three button mode, vol up and down plus power, or if you plan to flash alot of rom's, get a jig. there is adb. also aio tools.
one of these should get you into dl mode to odin.
you are in recovery mode if it says "2E" or "3E" recovery you should be able to get into download mode and then you can flash back into stock.
To get to download mode plug in you usb into the computer first. then, hold the volume keys both down then plug into the phone (while it is showing the recovery mode, in other words it is still on) if it does not work, then pull out then try again a couple of times When you plug it in leave for 2-3 secs. If this does not work or you can't get it Then, just buy a Jig from the xda member connextion2005 (mobilevideotech.com I think). they are 8 bucks and all you do in just plug it in and it will bring up the download mode. From there you can do this
Get the Odin program 1.7 or newer, get the Stock 2.1 Tar file, get the 512pit file
You can find these in the general forum in the thread called Noob guide
then
Open Odin, plug in your phone, put into download mode. connect it to the computer it will recognize might say com8 or some other number
Load the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.
You want to check the 're-partition' box.
Now click start, let it finish, and this time your phone will load up just fine!
Then, root the phone and you can flash your new Rom.
You the super oneclick method it is easier to root then download Rom manager and now you can flash any rom you want
Still can't mount internal SD
I've tried the above steps and was able to get out of Recovery Mode, but now I can't get the Internal SD to mount to allow me to put custom ROMs on there...any ideas??
Oryon007
ok so i tryed to flash cm7 on my vibrant and now it starts up in recovery and says "E/cant mount sd card" also i cant flash back to stock from odin because there is no way to get to download mode and cant flash a new rom from recovery because i cant mount sd card. please help thanks
Pretty positive that message is normal.
Reboot.
i wish it was that easy but ive tried that bit doesnt help at all
power off phone
pull out battery
turn on odin
attach phone to pc with usb cable
now while holding down both volume buttons put battery back in.
now you should be in download mode and go back to stock with odin from here!
make sure u put the proper .pit and .pda file in there proper places on odin and ur set to go.
Enjoy and also make sure u have the proper samsung drivers
i am having the same problem ...... but i dont want to leave cm7.......want to flash a kernel
ok thanks but when i try to put it in download mode the same wy you said it just boots up on the recovery and cant use my phone at all so thank but really need a working way asap haha

If it's booting to recovery and not dl mode, you've done it wrong.
Make sure it's only vol + and vol - and then USB.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
nope i am doing it over and over it just goes to a cwm screen and says waiting for usb to mount
As it says in op on front page!!! make sure u can get into dl mode before flashing cm7! Could u get into dl mode before??? keep trying and if it doesnt work maybe a usb jig would work.
ill get one of those usb jigs lol but yes i could get into dl mode before
Hi. Is it possible to get data (like videos and photos) from the phone in Boot Loop before "repairing" it? If so, how to do it please?
Yeah, it's definitely possible. Can you still enter download mode (start your device while pressing Vol Down, Home and Power-button)? Then:
You could just root your device with cf-Root for example. Just search for cf-Root, there should be an explanation how to flash it with Odin. Once you've done that, you can enter Clockwordmod Recovery (Start your device with Vol UP, Home and power button), then Storage -> Mount USB-Storage and connect it with a USB-cable. Voilà you can access your data.
If you have CWM recovery, boot to recovery and use adb to copy your files to a PC or to a microSD card.
I can get to download mode, but Odin doesnt recognize my phone. I tried another (the same SGII) phone in "normal working" (not in "download") mode and it recognized it immediately. What does it mean? Is something wrong with the phone?
The phone is not rooted.
So there's no yellow box with "COM" in it when you connect your phone in Download mode? mhh
maybe you could try another usb port? Especially if it's an USB hub or something like that!
Do you have KIES installed for the USB drivers? And if you have, make sure that KIES isnt active while using Odin (check task manager for KIES-related task and kill them).
No, there isnt any yellow box with "COM" there. I tried without Kies installed in PC, with Kies and with Kies with all related tasks killed. I tried all of USB ports and change of PC as well. Nothing works. And as have already mentioned. Another SGII Odin recognized in second (not is download mode but in "normal" working mode)
The videos and photos aren't saved on the Micro SD card by any chance?
Chris.
Unfortunately, no.
What did you do to get a bootloop anyway?
I tried update it using "update option" in the phone. It downloaded the update and then tried to reboot but had stucked in boot loop.
A wipe data/factory reset will only erase user data in the /data partition. It should leave /sdcard (which is the internal sdcard, where your pictures and videos are) alone.
How sure are you about that? Anyway..as nothing works this is probably the last option I can try..

Very sure. Just make sure you don't choose to format /sdcard if that option is available to you. (which if you're not rooted, and don't have CWM recovery, it shouldn't be available to you at all)
EDIT to add: just so you don't freak out, it WILL try to format /sdcard/.android_secure. That is normal. This folder is the hidden folder Android uses for apps that are moved to the internal SD card.
OK, thanks. I will try tomorrow..
Doesnt work I tried everything. With Kies, without Kies (killed all processes related to Kies), I changed USB ports, changed PC.. Any idea why Odin doesnt recognize my phone? I tried another SGII and it appeared almost immediately in Odin (not in download mode but "normal" working mode) Is there anything else I can do?
// I´ve just found some information about USB jig but I am not sure if this will work in this case. Moreover I dont want to lose the warranty so I am not sure if this will affect it.

But this will get me into Android system recovery which is not helpful. I cannot do anything in there just erase data/ cache etc. I need ODIN to recognize my phone while plugged in the PC. I can get into download mode as well but Odin doesn recognize my phone. What else can I do?
I found some information about USB jig but I am not sure if this will work in this case. Moreover I dont want to lose the warranty and I am not sure if this will affect it.
the other phone you have tried is recognaized while Download mod by the ODIN from PC,?? not in the normal..
if not you are missing the driver still
What to do with USB jig when you are already able to get download mode
actually, I havent tried the other phone connet to Odin in download mode as I dont know what to do then. I mean, can I just take the cable off the phone and long press on/off button while in download mode to stop it? I dont want to break it..
The drivers should be ok, as there is the last samsung usb driver for mobile phones installed (1.5.4.0)
Dont load any rom on the pda of odin, just get the dwnlmod and connect the phone, to see whether its showing added in the odin and idcom highlighted with yellow or not then disconnect the cable and long press as you told to come out fr dl mod

Another way exist :-s ?
Oops..
Ive not noticed it.
I think you are in a deep trouble now ..
Your phone is hardbricked.
Hardbricks refers to the phone as
totally jammed, it doesn't show
anything, can't access the download
mode screen. The only solution for
this is by called JTAG flashing, which
is forcing to install the firmware
back to the phone. The process is not
too easy, this includes disassembling
the phone, some soldering required
and flashing by means of using a
flashing device tool.
I cant post a link now. The above text copied from a blog!!
Final hope:tried a battery pull ?

Is it just stuck on the boot logo ? ( soft brick ) If you can boot into download mode ( by pressing power, menu, and volume down buttons at the same time, then a new page will come up than press the volume up button ) if this works than your device is not hard bricked. Hard bricked is when nothing works you press the power button and the screen does not light up at all with a charged battery, and yes there is a file that you can place on your sd card to place the device into download mode.
Ok lets assume you can get into download mode. Just Odin flash a new Lollipop OS, click on rom flashing basics in my signature and follow the instructions make sure you flash The Lollipop OS Twice to get a clean install. If you do have a hard brick let me know I have the debrick file to put on your sd card, or you can buy a USB jig, or make one ( there are several youtube videos that show how to do it if you have an old plug laying around ) to get your device to boot into download mode.
It wont go to download or recovery mode. I will be glad if you can get me the debrick file

Edit: First you could try to plug your usb charging cable in to a PC and your device then try the three finger method ( press the power, menu, and volume down buttons at the same time ) to see if it will boot up into download. ( this supplies power in chase the battery is dead )
Or you could build a usb jig to boot into download mode the link is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rdn5GoRjhn0
Ok first its been a long time. I have three unbrick files I can't remember which one works, I can tell you how to do it.
First pull the battery then pull your sd card, hopefully you have the adapter for the sd card so you can install it in your PC. Once installed in your PC you need to format (erase) all the data on the sd card.
Now copy and paste "one" of the unbrick files on the sd card. Replace the sd card back in the device and reinstall the battery and try to boot the device. It should boot in to download mode. Then you should be able to Odin flash from there.
Here are the links to the unbrick files 1. http://www.mediafire.com/download/c396cy9uxyg7mck/debrick.img 2. http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6q1152x5c9d4h6/N900PUnbrick_IMG 3. http://www.mediafire.com/download/l290jcibb29q4r0/Unbrick_IMG.gz
Remember to only use "one" at a time, and the sd card needs to be blank before you install the files, I hope one works for you it can't hurt to try.
