Has anybody tried this on the ICS ROMs?
I got it to connect to my tablet, but I don't know how to transfer anything with it so I can't for sure say it works 100%.

Apps like ES File Explorer and QuickPic have "Share" in the long-press menu if you long-press a file. Then click "WiFi", then click the device.
On the other device, a popup should appear asking if you want to accept the file share.

I connected both devices through wifi direct, downloaded both apps, long-pressed on a picture, hit share and these are the only options for both apps:

On es explorer you have to add a server in order to get the share via WiFi to work.

seems that press and hold to copy text doesn't work on the x8 but you can still paste using the menu button.
I get FC(
OK, I found a really cool app on the market here
It's called wireless adb! It is really easy to setup and work. Just open the app and press the green button. Then on your computer, type "adb connect "ip address here: port"

This does require root, but it is still worth it! Have fun
ALSO, I DID NOT MAKE THIS APP IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I AM SIMPLY PASSING ON INFORMATION.
It is a very nice app a few roms have it built in.

Thanks for this!
Best app ever for adb lovers.
Since this is an app on the phone its not going to work for anything other than a fully booted phone to push/pull files with right? Im referring to being unable to run any commands in hboot or recovery. Its a cool idea but seems like its usefullness would be limited.

If you're in recovery, you could easily mount USB instead of ADB..
Every time I try to create an archive or zip file from a folder I get an error saying it failed because permission was denied, refused by system.
Any ideas? I have a rooted room and I have all the settings in ES File browser set correctly...

I'm assuming you have the "mount file system" checked. If you do, you may have to clear data and start over. Also, make sure it still has root access. A simple reboot may do the trick. I had an issue the other day, and a reboot cleared the trouble.

So you're trying to create a zip? You're hitting select, highlighting the files, and then trying to compress?
Sent from Galaxy Note
Umm have you tried just zipping it on your sdcard and then just moving the entire zip to /system/media?

Yes, I'm long pressing on a folder and selecting compress/encrypt.

Well it appears to happen when long pressing a folder and trying to archive the entire folder... Weird, if I multi select individual files I can then archive.

Just tried it myself without issue. At least you found a work around.

I just rebooted the phone and here is the folder now:
Same with my other folders. Just wondering if there's a setting anywhere to keep the apps sorted alphabetically? Looove using folders so hoping this is possible Thanks!
Anyone? :-I

Download AppZorter Lite on the Play Store, this can remove the gaps left and sort the apps by name or install date automatically.

No one else encountering this?
It is possible to make an app in this layout?

Its basically how in gmail when you tap the top which is by default inbox, you get a list of where to do i.e. sent, drafts etc.
So lets say you are reading a story/text and you have action bar on top from where you can select another story/text rather than pressing back to go to the list
If you see gmail on your phone, when you press the tab (which maybe showing inbox,) it gives a dropdown where you can select a folder to go to. Can you make that you can go to different stories/chapter instead?
try k-9 or stock CM email app
You misunderstood, I want to know if an app with that concept be made. Im not after another email app
Am I allowed to offer some form of bounty for someone to make this app?
