My phone started to act up after i went from cm7 to 9, maybe i did not do it right. Today, i went back to cm7 to stop the problems, but i had the same exact problems and it only got worse. I tried to sbf back to i think 2.3.4, and i have done a sbf before and did the samething i did last time. Now, i am stuck in a boot loop. I think the problem is that when i did the sbf it had no details about my phone. Please tell me what i should do.
Did you wipe data? I have never sbf'd but I've read that bootloops are common and wiping data usually fixes it.
From Moonshadow:
17. Whether or not your phone boot loops at this time, I HIGHLY recommend performing a factory reset from the Android Recovery menu. This is also the process of fixing the boot loop.
a. Pull the battery.
b. Plug the battery back in.
c. Power up your phone by pressing and holding the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON and then pressing the POWER BUTTON until you see the words FASTBOOT (in white) at the top of the DX2’s screen. This should only take about 3-5 seconds.
d. Press the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON 7 times, or until you see the words ANDROID RECOVERY.
e. Press the VOLUME UP BUTTON and the screen will add “Entering Android Recovery” under the words ANDROID RECOVERY.
f. In about 5-7 seconds, you should see a white triangle with a yellow exclamation point in the middle and a little android down and to the right of the triangle.
g. Press both volume buttons at once.
h. The Android system recovery utility (second line of text) will come up.
i. Press the VOLUME DOWN BUTTON until “wipe data/factory reset” is highlighted.
j. Press the power button to start the process.
k. Once the wipe data/factory reset process has completed, press the VOLUME UP BUTTON until reboot is highlighted.
99% of the time I have not wiped data and cache after an sbf I boot loop and I am guessing that's the issue just pop into android recovery wipe those two and reboot it will take a few minutes for the first boot as usual but should be good after that

I can't post this in the development forum, so I am posting it here.
I followed these directions: http://briefmobile.com/atrix-4g-rom-installation-guide from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991595
Now my phone is in a restart loop. It will load the red Motorola logo, then the green Motorola label, gets into the "setup your phone" screens, then it waits approximately 60 seconds and restarts. I can't make it stop and I can't figure out how to access the CWM recovery from the powerbutton + volume button combinations to try and reflash.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!
Make sure you're plugged in to use CWM
If you cant get into it, you should be able to get into RSD mode and flash a fresh 1.83 sbf
or get into standard recovery and wipe data/factory rest
Thanks for your input - it did help!
For anyone else that finds this thread, here is what I did to fix my phone (more or less):
Removed battery
Put battery back in
Held "volume down" button until "fast boot" appeared on the screen
scrolled (via volume down - NOT volume up) to "Android Recovery"
Pressed the Volume Up Button to "click" it
Waited for it to load and touched the bottom right hand corner of the screen (hidden button that toggles showing/hiding all of the menus)
Used that to clear cache and userdata
Restarted
Phone worked!
I couldn't get RSD mode to work, though, but this method did work.
I downloaded starwars rom followed instructions now i am stuck a the front screen were it says to touch. will not proceed says "process com. android phone has stopped unexpectedly". I was fully rooted and using bootstrap. How do i get back into bootstrap. I have plugged into wall with phone off and bootstrap will not start. HELP

You HAVE to flash it over Alien rom using bootstrap. These roms are not meant to be flashed without unlock in the first place, it's pretty random that it even somewhat works with boostrap. What you need to do is SBF back to stock, unlock your bootloader, load up a recovery, flash alien, make a backup, relock your phone, root and install bootstrap, restore alien backup, then flash star wars rom. Make sure you read carefully before flashing roms because you can easily brick your phone missing info like that.

3) Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then go on to step 4

do a factory reset like this guy said, or flash a .sbf file (be sure to flash the GINGERBREAD file, any other and you risk hard bricking your device)
So, im new to android, i was tired of ios. I exchanged my iphone 4 for a Motorola razr xt910, but within a week after it started to bootloop. The phone boots up normaly and is usable for about 30 secs, then it shuts down and boots up again, on its own. I really love this phone its wayyyyy better than an iphone but that bootloop is pissing me off!:'(

I dont know what to do! Please help me!
First off, have you done ANY modding of the phone (rooting, custom ROM, etc)? This doesn't usually cause a problem unless you flashed the incorrect ROM or you flashed a ROM and didn't wipe data/cache/dalvik.
First thing is you should probably go into stock recovery and do a data wipe. WARNING!!! This WILL wipe out all your contacts and apps and settings. Normally, I would suggest backing things up, but since you are rebooting every 30 seconds, you probably can't back anything up.
You can shut down the phone as follows by pressing and holding the volume down + volume up + power buttons together for 10 seconds. After that, your phone will shut down.
Next, press and hold the volume down + volume up + power buttons again for a few seconds. The phone should boot up into a menu with white letters. Using the volume down button, scroll until you've highlighted recovery. Press the volume up button and it will show you a picture of Andy. Press the volume up and volume down buttons to go into recovery mode.
Scroll down with the volume down button to highlight wipe data/factory reset. Press the power button. Scroll down to the "Yes" menu item and press the power button. This will do a factory reset, which will wipe out all your app settings and your contacts. Once done, go back to the main menu and select "reboot now" menu item and press power button.
Your phone will reboot and will go back to the activation screen and hopefully from there, things will work.
already did this for at least 20 times ive just try to fastboot it on another firmware and it still bootloops

(sorry about my chinglish )
So here's how:I locked my nexus10 and forgot the password, and I do not see the "Forgotten" button on the screen and also I didn't turn USB debugging mode on, so is there any possibility I can save my data instead of cleaning them up? Thank you (btw, I deleted the original recover files(because I once booted Ubuntu Touch on it) how can I reset it anyway?) Tanks a lot
Don't think there's a way..
And you should be glad because if it was possible anyone could break into your device.
P.S.
chinglish - like!

yeah........I see, so how can I clean everything, the recovery is dead and I didn't turn the debugging mode on
Right from Google:
1.If your tablet is on, power it off.
2.Press and hold Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down at the same time for several seconds. You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.
3.Press Volume Down twice, until you see the option Recovery mode.
4.Press Power to restart into Recovery mode. You should see an image of an Android with a red exclamation point.
5.While holding down Power, press Volume Up.
6.Use the Volume keys to scroll to Wipe data/factory reset and press Power to select it.
7.Scroll down to Yes - erase all user data and press Power to select it.
Note: If at any point during the above steps your tablet becomes unresponsive, you can restart it by holding down the Power button for several seconds.

Fastboot
You can use Fastboot without USB Debugging enabled.
"To use fastboot, power off, then hold down the power button and both volume buttons. That will take you to the bootloader screen where you, or the toolkit, can do fastboot commands."
I've attached a CWM Recovery image for your device.
Place it somewhere on your computer and open the Terminal application on your computer. Run the following command:
fastboot flash recovery <image location>
Then you can backup /data using advanced backup, perform a factory reset, CREATE A FULL BACKUP, then restore /data using advanced restore.
