I installed the APK that was available and it works fine. Though I guess works fine is relative as it works as best as the application works. If you are having issues maybe try to reinstall it again:

thought samsung shut off the connection to the servers until the s3 was released.
could be wrong w/ some outdated info though
I'm officially done with s-voice....for now....

Nothing to lose sleep over. It is nothing exciting and even if you got installed likely would not use it. Does not really compare to Siri and apps on the android market likely work better
I manually changed my build prop and got a bootloop -___-
It's working for me now. I installed the version with the build.prop edit and it's working great.

Update: I took a breather and reevaluated. I FINALLY got it. Just going to go over steps
1. From xda news, s- voice the xda way I got the download
2. In Root exp /sdcard/download-voice.talk.apk -move it to /data/app
3.fix permissions rw-r--r--
*Do not install
4. Reboot (app installs on reboot)
Enjoy!
I haven't had a chance to really use it, just tested a few things. I will update later.

Nope, no need to install on your phone. Just make sure you have flash (duh) and choose one of the links that gives you. Usually the "HD" links that they recommend you are ready to go. But if you click on a link that say "you have to install a program", just ignore (because you won't be able to install them on your phone anyways) and click on another link.
I've been using freerow, has good quality ones, especially sports such nfl or nba. I've been on vacation still and nowhere near my computer or tv, and its helpful!

Lots of goodies.. new gestures and the ability to edit your dictionary now.
I LOVE that I can go from swype > t > w to share via twitter.

I noticed this Swype version has support for "Skins." Any idea how to create and add skins?
Do you still have this somewhere? The download links are dead.

If it's "bugging out" - have you confirmed it's malware?
95%+ chance it's not - Android malware is extremely rare (especially since Droid Dream variants were pulled from the Market). If you are not an idiot and don't install random stuff from the Market without researching it, you'll be fine. Installing any sort of an antivirus will just make things worse.
This isn't Windows where they're hacking a new security model on top of a fundamentally broken base - Android has a fairly comprehensive security architecture that usually works. (Right now there are no privilege escalation exploits for 2.3.6 and above to my knowledge, and even when zergRush worked, I don't know of any malware that adopted the same exploit.)

2. Dont load cracked apps <--- This is why you had a problem to begin with

- unable to change sounds (ie ringtone, notification) ... likely need a folder created on sdcard and store miui tones inside to work ... temp fix: use edge app to set different ringtone etc
- user agent for browser thinks its a desktop but doesn't load mobile layout for device ... temp fix: menu > advanced > user agent > change android to iphone

A mod can remove this thread if there's a concern otherwise I'll remove once the dev makes a post. Nevertheless, the dev made it public posting it on dev-host for all.
p.s. - I agree with you, but you must also understand this is open source code and XDA is a community driven site and we should share with another to make our devices the absolute best that they can be. One should be concerned if one is taking ownership for someone else's work or turning a profit, in the mean time you can rest assure your statement is valued.

We do have a policy (XDA Rule 12) and it does not cover reposting anything you might find. It doesn't matter if it is for profit or not, if it is their work then they get to dictate whether to allow others to re-share it. Open source code does not mean free rein to do anything you wish with the code. I agree that it would be nice if everyone freely offered all of their work on XDA, but that seems pretty unlikely and unenforceable anyways.
Now, given that this ROM does not appear to have come from someone registered here on XDA, at least not with his dev-host username, I won't take it down unless contacted. I will move it to General though as it isn't your work.

Hey guys can anyone give me a hand putting together a walk-through for accomplishing the mentioned MOD in the thread title? I'd like to be able to skip music tracks without using the phone's screen... I've searched our forums and couldn't find anything. I also searched other forums for a generic walk-through but it seems that it could result in a bootloop or brick if I use another device's method. I'm running a stock T-Mobile LG P769 20f, rooted with CWM installed, obviously with a locked bootloader. Is this even possible with the stock ROM/kernel? Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
PS: I also use the stock music app...
The stock ROMs lockscreen doesn't even support music widgets, I'm not sure if it's possible in stock
