Blue gingerbread keyboard apk - Motorola Droid X2

Here is a keyboard I got a while back ago when I was on a Droid x. I can't remember where I got it from but I will give proper credit when I can. Just install like normal app and go into settings and check the gingerbread keyboard and you should be able to select it after that. Hope you enjoy.

Well I'm actually using it now. Just install it as a normal apk. And reboot.

u cud try smartkeyboard pro..it has an option for a HTC skin for the keyboard...
You can go to www.gimpsta.com to make a custom skinned htc keyboard and then just install the apk as usual.
Just remember to go into your settings to activate it for use before attempting to change your input method.

None of these work as they should...
The htc keyboard doesn't work at all...
If you have rooted your phone you can adjust the lcd density which will cause all buttons drawn to be larger.
You will need root access to /system/build.prop. Open it in a text editor and scroll down to the "other edits" section and increase the number by increments of 20 till you find what you like. A reboot will be required to have changes take affect.

Can you confirm this, and which version did you pick when you made it.

Same for me so far. I have tried a couple of versions and no go for any of them. Did not try a reboot though.
I tried rebooting but it doesn't work...

Gingerblur keyboard

Just installed gingerblur 3.1. Anyone find the keyboard a bit squished? I'm finding myself hitting a bit low on the spacebar. If I find I can't get used to it, is there a way to restore the old one?
I'm talking about while in landscape mode too by the way. Portrait mode seems better than stock

I completely agree with you here man. Loving Gingerblur but not a huge fan of the keyboard, and tried the moto keyboard posted on the Gingerblur OP page but I can't stand swype. I think I might reflash the SBF and pull the stock libjni_latinime.so and LatinIME then reupgrade to Gingerblur and push them to the phone via ADB using the method in this post here.
Worked great to restore back to the original Gingerblur keyboard after I installed the swype keyboard.
The motokeyboard. Zip file is not swype. However I found after lashing that zip I had to reboot a couple of times to get multitouch as an input option.

[App] SwiftKey X Keyboard

This is great app (I tryed it on friends Desire), so I downloaded Trial version but it's not working. I checked SwiftKey X in Languages and Keybords options and reboot but I still have stock keybord. Is it posible that it's not working because I changed original latinIME file (I put Gingerbread keybord)?
Download Free Trial (Android Market)
Did you long press on a text box and select input method? Maybe that will work.

I bought app and it works, It's great, but sometimes it's slow on beginning, for example when viber pops up (or facebook messanger) and then you have to wait for few seconds to type normal.
On Settings > Language and Keyboard the checkbox SwiftKey X is on?
You can install other keyboards?
Btw, a friend mine told me that trial version is buggy for him.
You can try buy the app, test with the 15 minutes and if don't work you can return the app.

No swype, using Cm9!!

I'm really missing the original "swype" I've down loaded many apps from the market similar but nothing like the original. Any ideas, how do I get it?
Coming from GS2 running CM9
Not sure if it's compatible with ICS but try http://www.swype.com/category/get-swype/ that's what i did after installing CM7

Check out SwiftKey X from play... I can't link it cuz I'm nub status here.
Don't miss Swype at all. It goes on sale for 99cents once in a while
Seriously?? Did you even try?
http://beta.swype.com
Swype will run on CM9; but like romuloxiii said, just go to the swype website, sign up for the beta, and download it
I've tried downloading the beta. And I can't seem to get it to work. I've followed the steps to install but it says password and username is incorrect, and says account not active. I'm not a noob and I can't seem. To be able to get past the login. I downloaded "swiftkey x" but I thought it was like swype. I will never text regular again. I absolutely hate texting. With 2 hands. I can swype so much faster than tapping, and one handed using my thumb. I've tried all the apps and none of the are as good or have stupid things that just make no sense. Any other ideas with swype beta? I thought maybe I'm on a custom romantic that it won't work.

Ok, I finally got Swype to work and I'm very happy now! Nothing is as perfect as the original Swype.

Sounds like you didn't use swype beta. How did you get the original?
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA
I did finally get the beta to work. Works just the same as the original that came with the phone. It's a Lil different, ex. The color of the trail. But I'm glad to have Swype back again

Swype sucks anyway. It would always punctuate and make me look like a retard when I texted. I prefer go keyboard. Their "swipe" feature works just fine for me

4.2 keyboard with Trace

I found this thread and wanted to share the keyboard. Download the apk and install. Go to settings>language and input>and make it available with a check mark. Now go to a text message with the keyboard showing and long press the space bar and chose the non-ASOP keyboard. Done.

Enjoy.

The traced popup suggestion looks goofy - glad it isn't the final version - but the keyboard works well. Good find and thanks for sharing. This makes using the phone with one hand way easier.

Not as good as swipe beta 1.3.1 but not too bad.
