What is the Best ROM for Mini (ST15i)? I can't choose what is the best and bug free ROM here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588674
I have rooted and unlocked my mini.
Sorry for my bad english
These are my personal favorites:
Cyanogenmod 7.2
Very fast, customisable and small sized.
Spartan ROM
Tweaked&fast stock firmware ripped of all bloatware and unnecessary apps.
LeWa OS 2.0
Chinese ROM based on CM.
Kernel:
Rage 2.8
My personal kernel choice.
Rage kernel for CM
Personally I think it's better then the FXP kernel, which has a high battery drain.
Also has more governors.
BTW- no ROM is completely bug free
There is no best for everyone. One ROM has some bugs, other ROM other bugs.
It is your own choice, which one suits you the best, every person is different.

Sorry. I mean the best ROM for you, developers and advance users. I'm just a noob here. I have tried CM7 on my x10 mini and it was so fast and stable. Now, in my ST15i, I'm thinking if cyanogenmod works fine. All ROMs for me are the best. So any of your suggestions will be appriciated

If you are bored with the original ROM.
It took me 10 days to get bored with the original ROM
OK... ok... but... I mean somtehing like: best performance, optimization in battery drain, cool themes,...
Dont ask for best roms etc.If you like stock then stick with it.

1. best performance is subjective but many people have had better luck with custom ROMs because they contain much less bloatwares compared to the stock firmware.
2. You only need to flash a custom kernel to optimize battery drain. You don't need to flash a custom ROM for that.
Although, you have to note that, all custom ROMs are bundled with custom kernels.
3. When it comes to enjoying cool themes, then custom ROM is the way.
You will even enjoy much better and probably endless theme options on AOSP ROMs.

1. because I can, so why not just try another thing
2. that's the main benefit of android aside from other things, there are custom stuffs for almost anything
3. because i cook custom roms too for my local friends since symbian days and now Android, so there is no way i can just stick with the stock firmware.
4. I get bored easily.

Tell you what...... go visit a psychiatrist and ask him.
Should you change from stock to custom well that is totally down to personal choice, and how about you try it and if you don't like it then change back. Thread Closed

My friend is asking me to root his phone, and install a custom rom, so I was wondering what do you guys recommend to install on his phone? Which rom is the most stable and best for every day use? I just need stability over speed.

For now it's gingersony v06, you just need to flash a led fix ( only bug ) but the rest is fast and stable, it just has the problem that every rom has: getting stuck in the keyboard when scrolling maximum up/down on the sym/smiles, you just need to be gentle in that part.
The most syable roms will be Zencefil and Semc Debrand when the new version is released, zencefil may have more battery time of all and semc will be the most stable with that scrolling problem fixed.
If i helped press thanks .
AW: [Q] What's the most stable rom for the X10MP?
I agree to Crazy Seed, Gingersony is the best for the moment, but if you don't want to go through the pain of unlocking the bootloader and flashing a new kernel, I would recommend SonyStyle by BPaul, or, infact, GingerDX pro.
PS: Here is a list of most ROMs for X10 mini pro, you can go through the lists there, too, if you want:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588192
Please press thanks if I helped .
I'm really sorry for the dumb question but could you post the link to gingersony v06 and is it even a rom for the x10 mini pro?

Well, that is a good question: I'm a 'wannabe' dev myself, so I made a rom based on slimroms, which is based on minicm10. I solved the problem of too little space on the data partition, but the performance is still not comparable to cm7 and the sound isn't very good. Everything is working, just a bit slower than on cm7. Do you maybe want to test the rom?

Wow, the first time I hear that project butter is slower then the 2.3.7 version Not really since it's not my phone. I own a Huawei G300 with CM10.1 on it and I can't believe that CM7 works better then CM10 on any device...

You know, the problem is the hardware of our phone: There´s to little internal space and to little RAM, so we can´t really use the, compared with cm7, heavyweight cm10 to its full extent, ask Crazy Seed if you don´t believe me, he tested the ROM for me .

I believe you, but damn, such a waste, you're missing out on a whole new experience. Anyway thanks for all the answers, I guess I'll install the CM7!
Yes it's true, cm7 is the best rom for the mini pro and cm10 is simply too much heavy for out phone, i honestly don't think there will ever be a 100% stable fast cm10 for this phone because the hardware can't take it. Kilroy's cm10 rom it's true that has more space, and it's still in constant testing for perfecting the rom, there's still a long way to go but in time there will be solutions. I don't know why so many people want JB roms instead of GB roms, i tested both and the only difference i saw was that the cm7 performance was way too much better, but it goes with the tastes and choices of people.
Ps: sorry kilroy but i have to disagree about the other roms you mentioned, sonystyle has many bugs and lags and gingerdx has a radio bug and effect rendering not automatic at boot, but xperia blaze 3 rom is good for stock kernel and has walkman player ( i just don't like the srs trumedia that they put in the rom, best to remove it ), or else you just have to go trough the pain of unlocking bootloader and stuff to get Gingersony v06 the best rom for now.
Ps: Kilroy about jb players, now that i mentioned walkman player, why don't you try that one? xD.
Minicm7. its fast, very stable and excellent for everyday use. battery life is good. i have not had any major problems with it. Its awesome!
as been said before in this post, and also my opinion, GingerSony is now the best rom around for x10mini pro
Hi guys,
I'm loooking for a stable & fast rom based on JB 4.1.2,I prefere AOSP/AOKP but a stock-based one will be just as fine as long as it working with no FC.
Thanks!

There is no best rom.
There are only roms that you think is better than the others.
Read comments and reviews for each rom and decide by yourself.

I'm not looking for an ultimate ROM I'm looking for something that answers my requirments: Fast & stable,JB 4.1.2 with no FC,
not something too complicated.
Can you recommend on something?
read the rules before posting. asking for a best ROM is against them
someone please close this thread.
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
I'm looking for the most stable JB custom ROM and its kernel, with less bugs. If any of you have some advice please tell me the ROM and the recommended kernel used for that ROM. Thanks.

I'm not looking for a perfect ROM and I know custom ROMs have bugs that we must deal with, I'm just looking for the most stable one that people ever try. Why don't you just tell me what ROM and kernel suit you best? I can't try everything out. I'm not a ROM tester.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
i think you should ask in Q&A , But i think you shouldn't ask that ,
because you'll not find any specific Answer ,
you'll find some bodies love Cm , and people love Zelly Cream , and more & moooooooooooore @_________@ ,
Just flash what do you think it's better for you
Don't ask that again man, cause you're insulting the developers. Well see this ROM, I'm using it right now, enjoy.
OP two issues here...
1st posting this in the Development Section.
Obvious reasons...
2nd Asking most stable JB Custom ROM.
Only you can figure this out, due to so many Users having different apps/usage, what is best for them will not be best for you...so you have to do the homework and test & run the ROMs yourself.
Thanks.

this both look nice:
