[Q] Xperia Neo 2.3.4 battery fix - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi everybody,
This is my first post on xda.
I have an xperia neo 2.3.4 that i updated to ICS but the camera didn't work so i downgraded it to 2.3.4 and now the battery stay at 0 and i can't charge it.
I read a lot of posts about the way to fix my battery, but it doesn't work:
I'm not allowed to unlock bootloader and i can use my phone only with plugged charger for more than 15 days.
I tried a dozen of ways to fix it but no way.
Pleaaaaase Heeeelp.
Thanks.

@OP: you would be the first one which got that, in written scenario..
Usually people got that when they downgraded from 2.3.4 to 2.3.2.
Show me the file you used to downgrade.
If you really got old 0% bug here is the solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312398
But its still hard to believe to me that you got that bug since you are not first one who downgraded to 2.3.4.
Problem is if you actually downgraded to 2.3.2..by mistake..

Is it possible to do a OTA update when your Xperia X10 is rooted?

Hi,
I have a question. I once rooted my Xperia x10 and dropped it. I let somebody repair the screen and all was good. Then my micro usb port broke a few months later and I thought it was to expensive to let it replaced. I purchased a Desire HD. Almost 6 months later my Girlfriend asked me if she could use it, I said yes but it has some issues. Now I came up with a way which could maybe solve the issues?
It's now running WB-Xperia TW 009 (android 2.2.1) and bb .54 but I have an xrecovery backup with rooted stock android 2.1. Could I restore to it and then do a OTA to Android 2.3.3? So it fixes the problem like wifi dropping out? I don't care if it doesn't have root then anymore. But is it possible?
Kind Regards,
ShadowAreo
For the gingerbread update you need SEUS or Flashtool, and with root access you can't update your phone OTA.

[Q] sk17i rooted .58 wont update to .62 over-air

Hello,
first of all, amazing forum
So lets start, i bought my sk17i, few days ago, and been spending last two days here reading xperia subforum. I think my mini pro came with .58, and i did overair update on the first turn-on to .62. Then started reading here about rooting, and decided to downgrade (flash tool, SK17i_4.0.2.A.0.58_GLOBAL) since its the easiest method to root. I used 4.0 zergrush. At first was getting problems due to MTC had to switch to msc, and rooting when flawlessly, 5 mins max. Deleted some unwanted apps wit super manager (found thread here, with a list of apps that can be deleted safely). I also backed up all apps with titanium.
Now im trying to update over the air to 62 (so i can have newest firmware and still rooted, if done over companion, root is lost), and im getting this error...
Any hints/help on why this might be happening?
Thanks a lot in advance
I had this problem too, and the problem was the firmware version I used. My sk17i was from Brazil, and i had flashed the US .58. After tried a lot of things, I flashed the BR version and it just werks.
Some users also reported that configuring 3G did the trick for them, even if later on they used wifi to download the payload. Have you tried checking for the update over 3G?

i dont have data plan at a moment, so could not try over 2g/3g.
edit: actually, i assume that after downgrading from .58 to .42, i lost root privileges, and then i updated to .62 without noticing it. So now downgrading again, going to root again and then update to .62 my newly phone been taking some stress lately lol

[Q] Help upgrading from GB to ICS, lost!? (MT15i)

Hello
I'm used to the flashing and all that for the Samsung devices (galaxy s series) but I'm confused when it comes to the Xperia series. This is my wifes phone that I want to update since it's on it's knees.
From what I've read there are ways to improve the storage space since that is a problem for her, constantly running out of space.
I've been reading up on some custom roms but perhaps stock ICS is good enough with that storage improvment.
So can I download the latest ICS and flash it with the "flashtool" or perhaps there are some nice guide out there that will help me out.
Will the root carry on with the update?
Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo MT15i
Android version: 2.3.4
Version: 4.0.2.A.0.42
Bootloader unlocked: Yes
no root wont carry with this update
and i can see your wife's phone is running GB
in my own taste and experience
i suggest not to move to ICS
you're gonna feel more lags cuz it's heavier than GB
first of all unlock the bootloader (search the forum)
now you can flash custom kernels (using flashtool) around the forum that are much better than stock ones (not all kernels work with all roms)
its time to use custom roms
again
in my own taste and experience
GB: codename 9.3 (now on it)
ICS: ice cream pureness
were the best
Jelly sandwich good also man^^
Look in stickies in dev section
Everything is there
seNt froM My bustEr Neo v <3
Once again I would suggest I-Scream for ICS (The test version)... It feels as smooth as GB.. And battery is quite good, unexpectedly..!!

Hi there, I was as lost as you and had a few problems with my device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980047
What I would recomend is using Sony Ericsson Update Service and update to GB .62 to clear any problems. Then just flash following this guide:

Hey I read you thread and that's more or less the same situation, thanks for replying.
I unlocked the bootloader earlier so in the service info/configuration it says "Bootloader unlocked: Yes"
I will check out your thread and go that way then. Thank you

[Q] Sony Xperia X10a Android re-installation

My xperia X10a has slowed down tremendously and giving lots of trouble for the last few months and I wish to re-install the android 2.3.
I had rooted the phone myself after reading threads here. I have also read here that the stock version isn't really that good so I was thinking of re-installing the sony version.
1. Would Sony allow re-installing android on a rooted phone?
2. If Yes, would I have to root the phone again after installation to remove the Sony crapware? (That would be a max pain as it took hrs the first time to figure out and I didn't make any notes)
Yes and yes.

[PROBLEM] Updating Xperia Mini E10i to ICS

Good morning guys. I've recently bought a xperia mini second handed while I'm waiting for my gnex back from assistance. Well, these are the facts:
I'm not new in the Android world, so first of all I've searched for a guide to root and unlock my bootloader. My original build version was the 2.1.1.A.0.0 and I had several problems in rooting it. Flashtools didn't recognize my phone even in flash mode, and sony update service nor pc companion find me any update. So I paid 2 useless euros to wotan, hoping that changing the build would be useful for updating (on their server last version available was the 4.1.B.0.587, so ICS). Of course not update was found except for one thing, the program installed me the 2.1.1.C.0.0 build. With it I was able to make flashtools works. I rooted it with no problem and I've discovered that the bootloader cannot be unlock on my phone. Said so, I've reader that there are many ROMs that works even with locked bl, so I've installed the x recovery (cause the cwm caused me a soft brick twice) and I went for flashing a ICS based ROM from there. Unfortunately, again a bootloop. I had to restore the OFW using sony update server (2.1.1.C.0.0) and I'm currently on it. Is that possible that there isn't a way to see ICS on these little Android?
Thanks in advance.
I think you have Xpria X10 Mini
So it isn't good forum for you and in X10 mini you can only use ICS as Custom ROM
For example miniCM9

I don't really know the difference. From where can I see it?
And in the case it's the one you said, how can I put a custom ROM based on ICS? As you can read I've tried everything..
That's why go to x10 mini pro forum,I am ex x10 mini pro user,so you should go to there

Hmmm...if you don't found anything there then what make you think you will find something for your phone here? you are on the wrong Xperia lineup to ask this question....
you have to look carefully at HERE...if you lazy to go thru every pages then just read the first stikies thread...that can narrow down your search for finding the right Roms for your phone...remember your biggest problem is your locked bootloader cause there only a few Roms for locked bootloader...
