No, there is nothing like that to my knowledge. All the apps related to that will be on google play. Mods/scripts are provided at sites like XDA.
No.... Android doesn't lock everything down like apple. Google play=cydia

There are also a ton of 3rd party appstores like the Amazon appstore.
There are a LOT of them.
Yes there is. U are here!

There may be a app called blackmarket... But I wouldn't suggest using those sort of apps that give out paid apps free, you cut the legs out from families dinner tables doing so. It's morally wrong in my opinion. I never even used cydia to get paid apps free, I paid for apps I felt I needed.

Google's stupid 15 minute evaluation rule is a real good reason to use a black market Site. Test the app thoroughly and then buy it for real on market.

Or, you could just use titanium backup and test the app after, "returning" it. Than buy it later if you like it. But, I think piracy is just wrong. Like I said prior, in my opinion It's morally wrong.

Been there tried that. Lots of apps have license check that won't let you do this.! The license doesn't link properly

i personally have no problem downloading from blapkmarket
BUT if i use the app for more than 2-3 days - i buy it
google should give people a few days to decide if the app is worth it or not. or a longer return period

emulators !!!!!!!!!!!!!
need I say more??
Except n64oid

As he updates them, they'll probably go pay (for instance, when he updated n64oid last week, it went from free to $3.99US).
Originally, they were only supposed to be free for two weeks, but they've been free for a while now.
If you download now, when they go pay, you'll have to purchase to update through slideme, but if you don't already own them, they're worth the price of admission.

SwiftKey keyboard free for 8 more hours on the amazon app store. Just downloaded and it is pretty sweet. Black keys with turquoise lettering look nice on the 3d.

I'd grab it if I didn't have to have Amazon app market run in the background constantly to make it work.
You can just uninstall it after you are done , i think
Thanks. I learned about this from pulse news widget waaaay earlier lol.

Really? So any app you get from the Amazon appstore has to have it running in the background to work?
Please elaborate on this. Is this true? I do kind of wonder what the catch is to amazon giving away free apps.

Easiest way to test it is to uninstall amazon market and try to use the keyboard.

The worst thing about it is that you have to give them a credit card number to download this *free* app.
Funk dat, frikken chud stains.
I went thru the motions but stopped shy of giving them a CC.
Eat shorts amazon.

Somewhere within the US there are human beings that do not have an Amazon account?
Last week, I bought Need for Speed Shift 3D from eamobile but after payment step, it gave me "incompatible handset" error. Naturally I made a case on their support system, it has been 7 days and still no answer or anything. I emailed all support channels and made 3 more cases, plain nothing. I can't download the game I paid for and the worse part is how they treat their paying customers. (or not treat I should say) One thing I know is, I'm done with EA Games and I advise the same to you.
And the Evo 3D is supposed to be compatible? I'm just making sure that it wasn't just for the Optimus 3D or something.
Yeah it is supposed to be compatible

Even if it wasn't compatible you would think they would tell you before they take your money. At the least provide a refund in a respectable time frame.

It would only probably be useful if the app wasn't starting up. His problem is that the app won't download in the first place.
GetJar is offering Tapatalk for free! usually 2.99 but its is now free in their gold star apps!
too bad I already purchased it -.-
I have heard others recommend it, but I still don't really know what this does or why its worth buying (or in this case, getting from GetJar for free).
What makes this app good? I mean, I have the XDA app for XDA and the phpbb seems to render fine in Opera/Dolphin for the other forums.
Why do I need/want this app?

I'm not saying you should need it or want it, just pointing out that its for free through GetJar.
What makes this app good is that it can access multiple forums such as androidcentral, ppcgeeks, xda, and numerous others. all in one app. whereas the XDApp can only access XDA ofcourse.
Some people prefer to have an app access all their favorite forums and this app does just that. I believe the XDApp is based of from the Tapaptalk app. but correct me if I'm wrong.
My wife and I both used to have iPhone 4's, but I upgraded a little over a month ago to the AT&T SGS2, while my wife kept the iPhone 4 but plans to upgrade to the 4S in a few months or just wait for the next iPhone. Either way, we miss being able to see where eachother is at like we could with "Find My Friends" on the iPhone. She is a full time substitute teacher so she could be working at any of like 8 different schools, and while she knows in advance which one I don't always remember which one she is working at. She doesn't answer her phone at work even when she isn't in class because she says they have a very strict policy on phones at the school. Anyway, if I needed to know I could just use that app and see where she was (and I could tell from her location which school that was).
Is there an app for both iPhone and Android that would work for us? It appears that AT&Ts FamilyMap app works but that costs $10 a month, and I would prefer free or at most a one time app purchase. Thanks in advance for any help.
Why don't you use latitude? Its google much better. find friends I'd a cheap copy

Not sure what your problem is, but I do know that you are an asshole. My wife has offers to be a teacher, she just prefers substituting and being as she is a full time sub the pay is comparable.
Thanks everyone, we will try out Latitude. She doesn't have a gmail account and it looks like she needs one so we will make her one and try it out and post back.
