How do you manually enable 10key on htc trace? I know how to do it on swype but I can not figure it out on trace. Please help.
Thanks,
Go to settings, language & keyboard, click on the settings button and then under keyboard types choose phone. I think that's what you're talking about.

When I wanted to switch my keyboard to Swype, I had to long-press on the text box itself (where your words appear) to be able to choose my keyboard. Hope this helps.

Thank you!!! it does work like that....
So I installed Swiftkey X but I've found I like the stock keyboard better, but can't seem to get it back.
1st I tried turning off Swiftkey X, but I ended up getting the factory Swype. Then I uninstalled Swiftkey X and all I now have is Swype. I want the stock keyboard back!!!
I know the stock keyboard is on there somewhere because when I Touch Input - Tutorial, the stock keyboard is there. Anything else, all I have is Swype.
Does anyone know how to get the stock keyboard back?
Thanks!!
Easy, open a txt msg or anywhere you have to type. Hold and press like if you were going to paste. Select input method and select Touch Input.

Is it possible to remove the other languages this time around? On standard Swype, you could simply deselect the languages available in settings. Now, it simply has the option to switch between English and Spanish. I accidentally hit the key sometimes, but never use Spanish--so, any way to remove the option completely?

+1 for this request. Accidentally hitting languages I never use is quite annoying.
Hold down on the language button and uncheck Spanish. The language button will still be there, but when you hit it the keyboard won't switch to Spanish... nothing will happen.
Or you could install a different version of Swype.
This is how it used to be, but Unnamed 1.2.0 uses an updated version of Swype which does not have the uncheck ability--only selecting.

? I just did what I suggested on 1.2. You can still unselect languages.

Not sure if you're using a different version of Swype on 1.2, but on mine I most certainly can't uncheck languages. Instead, it shows the green circle to the right, where you simply choose which language you want.

Thank you! I almost threw my phone in a tantrum because it kept auto correcting in Italian.

That's exactly how mine looks. Can't get rid of other language either in the swype keyboard via long press or in keyboard settings.
Hey does anyone know how I can get a sense 4 keyboard with the swype function in it. Many roms have just the keyboard without swype feature. Only rom with it.. Well that I know of.. is sos m rom.. But gotta be a way to install it on another rom right?

You can find sense 4 type keyboards on the market.
Also, the keyboard that comes with many Roms have a trace function you can turn on. Settings, language & keyboard, sliders next to Touch Input, Trace Keyboard, Turn on trace.
Read, Search, Read again, ... Then Ask with Tapatalk 2
THanks!

Did we lose the ability to switch keyboards in the settings menu? In the 4.4 update because I having a hard time trying to change the keyboard.

It's still there under settings / language and keyboard on my stock phone.
Just remember, there are two steps to activate the keyboard. First make it available in settings. Then choose to use it by staying to type (in any app), pull down the notifications bar, and select the input method. I always forget the second step, if it makes you feel better.
