I have been trying for the best part of an hour to update it to the latest official update released on here earlier and I am having no luck... it just keeps telling me ivalid vendor ID... it is an orange uk phone which is unbranded and I've installed roms on it before but this just keeps popping up! any ideas?
I have the same problem. Did you try going back to the official ROM before applying the Mango ROM?

...then replacing the the RU_signed.nbh and perhaps the SPL-Signed.nbh within the 1.22 folder with the one from the Mango ROM and flashing again.
Just like users did when de branding their handsets for the first time. I cannot test to see if this works as I lost my Orange Mozart, but it is worth a try.

I got the "Invalid Vender ID" first, now I went back to "RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.09.001.16_5.50.09.15_22.23.50U_Signed_by_ansar" since my device is originally T-Mobile DE. After that I retried the Mango update and I'm on 55% and counting

Just rememebr to flash the RUU_Mozart_Orange_UK_1.22.061.10_Radio_5.50.09.18_22.24.50.09U_by_ansar First then update.

OK so im after the mango update aswell i have an orange branded phone untouched, ive started downloading the Mango ROM, and do i follow those steps and i should be fine? using the HTC europe rom? thanks

Great you have it working - I lost my orange mozart when it fell into a canal. I since got an O2 one on loan from a friend, I unbranded and unlocked the phone - but as there is not an earlier Ansar rom that I could use without RSPL/HSPL first, for the moment I will have to stay on the (official) beta2

My phone can often get into a state where the graphics become very messed up, like shown in this video of somebody who has the same problem. It can not happen for a week or so, or can happen multiple times in a day.
It was originally an Orange locked phone, which I unblocked, followed by getting an unbranded ROM, and finally installing the official Dev Preview of the Mango build. I have had this issue since the unbranded ROM, though it could have been before, as I put the ROM on after a week.
Is the problem with the hardware, or is it something I could fix with a new ROM or the official Mango update?

Sorry, it's: 2250.09.12306.401
You could try applying the Mango firmware from the developer forum. Then you will get 2250.21.40600.401. It may or may not solve your issue.

Would I get this update with the official Mango update?
As far as I know: no.
I successfully updated my AT&T Titan from 7720 -> 8773 using the cabsender and the update files posted HERE. My Titan does not have HSPL i simply updated to 8773 using the cabsender. Even though Tango doesn't offer much in turns of features I still like to have the latest .

Yes there are Custom ROMS with tango already, but since I can't flash custom roms atlease I can still have 8773 even it its locked down and branded.
All OS updates are NON-DEVICE-SPECIFIC so you can update to Tango on any device either it be a US Titan/II or an European Titan.
I attached a screenshot of what My cabsender folder looks like. That is the files i used to update from stock U.S 7720 to 8773. If you are already on 8107 just put the files i posted above.
I couldn't do a one shot 7720 => 8773 update. So i just broke it up
7720 -> 8107
8107 -> 8113
8113 -> 8773

Works for me.
I did flash the stock 7720 ROM to the phone and then updated. I still haven't received the HTC updates to the Camera Modes, Sound Enhancer etc. But then again it takes days for me to get those updates after a fresh install.

How do I return to 7720 though?
You can't with Cabsender. :-(
The burst modes and everything are selectable, it actually tries to take burst shots but gets stuck.

With the stock ROM (RUU update)
If you have an AT&T Branded Titan then download the "Cingular" IMG if not choose which ever is for your titan (Europe/Asia). Then flash it and your back to 7720 (Cingular).
Just installed 2.05 , and it's put me at 8107.
Hmmm... Wasn't expecting that.
No updates in Zune neither.

you used the Europe 2.05 rom which is 8107. That was the last update released by HTC. And for now HTC hasn't released any updates via Zune. If they releases a Tango update you should receive it when ever that is.

This phone doesn't play nice with 8773 unfortunately. Maybe a camera driver issue.

Isn't the current wave of updates a Tango update? :s
If that isn't Tango then what is it?
Nokia, Samsung and Euro HTCs have already have Tango rolled out or is it just another set of HTC updates? (This will make it 3rd since 7720!)
After updated to 8773, have you received any notification for a HTC update?
I also tried the call quality on 8773, it was as ****ty as on 7720.

Does anyone's Titan hang after a hard reset after updating this way to 8773?
As at the end of the initial setup process there is now a new screen saying "HTC will now help you set up network settings"
And until you manually open connection setup none of the buttons respond!

First time I've heard of anything like that. What kind of setup did you have before updating? Was it a stock locked ROM or where you running a custom ROM.

Yes, it was a stock WWE EU/UK Locked ROM 2.05
I have also noticed that the intial welcome SMS is also delayed until I manually open the Connection Setup App or until I delete that App!
Very very weird as I also updated my Omnia 7 and that is perfect.
Also, I have tried hard resetting a number of times and everytime the same behaviour is exhibited.

What exactly are you doing?
Frist I run WP7_updat_tool,then I run the Wp7 Update Cab Sender.bat file.
I have the Cab files in the same folder as the WP7 update Cap sender.bat.
I pick the S option when I run it. It say done, But it didn't do any thing.
I am running WIN 8

It doesn't give you any errors and claims the update was succesful, but yet your T2 stays on 8112?
Oh I get this Error: No update Files.

what I was doing is right clicking on the WP7 Cab Sender.bat file and then I picked run as administrator. that is a no no. This time I picked open and every

You must flash " Aosp Custom Rom "
never used this before but as the 7,8 is on this navifirm program is there any Advantages or disadvantages of using it or should i wait for the zune update is the fw released on navifirm the official fw is it just the same as if it was released in zune thanks in advance

Cheers m8 will get installing saves waiting for the update on zune
u can download official roms through it, only disadvantage is the there r no custom roms available in it
Disadvantage: it's not officially supported, permitted, and tbh it might not even be legal.
Furthermore, it'd be trivial for Microsoft to know who has upgraded before the update has been pushed out through Zune.
