Does it happens in stock Rom?
If not then report a bug in their respective thread and a video proof would be really nice.

Set Max Clock freq: 1.2 GHz
Min: 122 MHz
GOVERNER: SmartassV2
And check in setting that you have Deep Sleep enabled. It saves a lot of battery.

I know EXACTLY what you're experiencing. I HATED when that used to happen to me...
A fix that I tried and currently still use, is to use CPU Master (or I guess any other app that let's you set your CPU speed and over/under clock)
I usually set it to min. 1000mhz and max. 1200mhz, and voila, problem solved
Tell me if it works for you!

that's still some pretty massive overclocking, running your CPU so high all the time will eventually eat up a lot of battery.
I think it's a problem with the phone's kernel not being very well optimized. Or.. maybe it's the developers who haven't optimized their games for dual cores, idk

LOL I'm aware that is really high. But don't worry, I almost always set it to min. 300mhz to a max of 800 mhz for average use. I only overclock for the rare occasion of games, which I have gotten a little tired of xD

had the same problem. for me i just thought about, why they are freezing. then i recognized that every time the razr's cpu changed it's speed, there's some freezing... freezing time ssems to be long or short, don't know exactly why this happens...
fruit ninja should be playable unfreezed with speeds like 800MHz or even 600MHz... tested only with 800...

I think its probably because your phone was running out of RAM. Yes! JB has memory leak issues. To confirm this, please use any Ram widget to monitor your Ram usage especially when the issue reoccur
When your phone runs out of RAM, everything will hyper-lag.
Also, Did you guys change any settings in extweaks?
This is a known bug in the Siyah Kernel, it was fixed in Siyah 4.1.4 but it is now back.
Does it only happen when phone is charging? Mine is fine unless my phone is on charge and then it is very shakey.
You could revert back to version 4.1.4 if it bothers you untill bug is fixed
JB Roms doesn't support HW composer(which is responsible for hardware graphics acceleration in menus), and won't support it until Samsung releases official JB ROM

yea it lags most when the charger is plugged in.
but it is the same on any ics roms also.. but on ics it is even more shakylags.
i have never tried a ram manager but maybe i should
EDIT : conservative governor is the one that i feel is the smoothest on my phone!
Look at the paper guide you got with phone - at "Charging battery" section there's information "During charging process touchscreen can function improperly" (or similar, I'm just translating from my language).

I have already fixed the problem on my LG O3D. I was using my old charger that came with smaller LG phone I dont remember name but it doesnt even had android in it. With that charger my screen was shaking. But when I started Using charger that came with my O3D it worked smooth. And of course problem appeared only while charging so if your phone does that while discharging too, this probably will not help.

I opened a thread in the sony forums: Check the Thread here: Click me
Update: Seems it's just related to the Xperia Go. Reports are saying that it doesnt happen on the U and Sola so far.
Hello everybody,
I installed the ICS update for my gf a few days ago and she complains a bit that it feels laggy.
Well I looked at it and removed any bloatware and most of the running background apps.
I got now always about 60-100 mb ram free. But also with 100Mb ram free it feels laggy on the launcher when scrolling through the pages.
Ticking/Unticking GPU rendering and turning off all animations, wallpaper scrolling etc. improoved it a bit but the lags are still visible.
Then I had a look at the fps and I think I found the issue.
I installed an app called FPS Meter from the market, which gives you an overlay on your screen an shows the fps.
My findings:
If you put your device to the charger it will give you fps between 65 and 70 when swyping through your homescreens.
Without charger your just get about 37 frames!?!
Another finding is, that after you turn your screen on, the scrolling is smooth for a few seconds, you will get the same fps when put to the charger.
But after that few seconds it will drop again to about 37 fps.
Same goes for a specific timespan after unplugging your charger. You will notice that your frames stay high for a few seconds after unpluggin, but after a while it will drop to 37 frames again.
I can reproduce taht issue as often as I want, try it yourself (-:
I'm a developer myself and was active for a while in mobile development as well. Smells definatly like a bug...at least on the user side.
Maybe it should be a feature to save battery life. I've seen a similar a bug/feature on HTC's side as well, they called it HTC smartsync, which turns wifi/data off after 15 minutes between 2am and 7 am. That feature was comfirmed by HTC and should save battery life in the night...bad for use that night shift at work and need a mobile connection? (-:. That feature was present on ICS, but they removed it on Jellybean...sorry for the little off topic.
Should be a kernel related issue in that case and I hope some sony devs will react to it and provide a fixed kernel.
Regards Jan.

Well as far as I know sony is much more open to such things as HTC.
Lets show some activity there and move the discussion to their forums instead of posting here, maybe we get on that way some attention and hopefully another kernel that removes the fps cap.
So @ all, if you want to say something, post it in the sony dicussion thread:

The governor controls the cpu clock and has nothing to do with the fps (gpu)? (-:
yes, it has, just tried it.
On performance i get between the 50 and 108 fps when scrolling in launcher

Well I guess you are on a custom kernel.
Doubt that the stock kernel comes with different governors.

k, will have a look at my gfs xperia when she's back.
Wondering why the lag isnt present on the xperia u though...but on the xperia go.
Should be nearly 1:1 the same hardware and software?
nope it isn't, xperia go has a different screen (less pixels) so the software is also different.

Hi,
Im just wondering if anyone could help me get touchboost past 800mhz? Is there a kernel that can do this? Im getting the odd stutter and believe this to be the cause, whenever my min cpu freq is set to about 1.1ghz i have no stutters at all.
Thanks,

Yes all the "big" custom kernels have this. If you're having stutters transitioning between homescreens though, perhaps look addressing the cause not the symptom

Hi, thanks for the reply! The main issue is scrolling some apps like Facebook which I think are badly optimised, I get the occasional jumping when scrolling.
I'm currently on boeffla kernel because I'm on CyanogenMod, but it only appears to support frequencies of 666, 700 and 800mhz. Are there any kernels that support higher values?
Cheers,
Jack

]Finally is here. Marshmallow 26.3.A.0.131 update bring us so wanted improvements.
Here you can post your thoughts, performance reports, or possible bugs you may found.
First what get better:
1. Overall performance - is so smooth, every menu scroll fast.
2. Camera - i can't confirm, seems little bit better
3. WIFI - Wow so much better, before i was trying couple times until get connected, now is instant.
4. Actual perfomance - I make test with Antutu, Asphalt etc. Is much, much better. Antutu score on Android 5 was around 29 k and 30 k max. Marshmallow wake the beast and score now is 32 k. Asphalt 8 is playable on medium settings, before very low settings was only way to play it normal. Do you know why? CPU isn't limited anymore 4 cores on 1.46 Ghz and 0.8 Ghz for the second 4 cores.
What wasn't fix, or improve:
Apps opening time
Overheating is same as before
Low storage
More perfomance needed
Sites loading is slow as before
I found two bugs, the one bug is in the dialer the letters under the numbers are repositioned a little bit, and idk if this is a bug but the status bar doesn't take the color of the app you are using

I think it's called "feature", you may want to try What's New (Play Store) themes if you'd like colourful status-bar. It looks like that stock themes prefer black status bars now.

Seems to be a bug, Detect USB device does not make sense without OTG.
The update is fine but a little bit disappointed specially on performance, apps are still opening very slow although UI is faster, at least now we have a better multitasking performance and no more bugs on RAM.

I also found that speaker was louder and clear on LP plus even have a little bit of distortion at max volume now, and in mi case, performance in 3D games was smoother in LP 3.120 with ondemand CPU governor.
