And how do you know, that the LCD is not the same as other 2011 Xperia MDPI devices?
Besides, Bravia Engine only improves photo and video quality on your phone.

Hehe...dont u do a some spec survey b4 buying that device? Our lcd is the poor screen contrast...and poor battery life...if we had bravia engine it will make it more worst and remember our device lcd is not clear enough to support bravia engine...SE made our device under budget and they only focos on walkman features....also dont 4get bravia engine need a big battery lifetime

There's already a tread with working Xperia S apps. I'm pretty sure, if camera worked too, it would've been there.
When it comes to camera, things aren't so simple, it requires a lot of libs and framework tweaks afaik.

[XU] Bravia Engine not working?

I have an Xperia U running stock GB. My phone is not rooted. I can't notice any difference when BE is on or of. I read that BE1 does not work for unlocked bootloaders. I don't know if my phone has an unlocked bootloader. If you can tell me how to find out, I will be most thankful.

oh okay, have u tired the benchmarking test?
To get alot of ram you must either install jellybean or stay with gingerbread. Thats the way to do it Simple and easy.

Benchmarks have nothing worthy to be noted of!
They just give a rough idea (in many cases,it doesn't even do that)
So my suggestion would be,
"don't go by those scores alone)

The best way to get more free ram is through a combination of the right rom and kernels. JB and GB are known to be the provide the most free RAM. Among ICS ROMs, the RAM usage varies depending on the kernel. The highest free RAM I have come across is with JB, Fusion Kernel which has 388 Mb free RAM without any apps installed and around 200+ otherwise. Hope this helped
i got Paranoid Android 4.1.2 ROM and installed advance task manager but killing it after freeing ram.
zram installed and i got 150 on idle and 220 when freeing ram.
