[XU] Bravia Engine not working? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I have an Xperia U running stock GB. My phone is not rooted. I can't notice any difference when BE is on or of. I read that BE1 does not work for unlocked bootloaders. I don't know if my phone has an unlocked bootloader. If you can tell me how to find out, I will be most thankful.

Put in the dialer *#*#7378423#*#* Then service info and then configuration Trek last line is about the bootloader

Thanks but that is bootloader unlock allowed = yes. How is that supposed to help? I don't know about the bootloader but my Bravia Engine is not working.

And how do you know, that the LCD is not the same as other 2011 Xperia MDPI devices?
Besides, Bravia Engine only improves photo and video quality on your phone.

[Q] Getting my first android soon, and i want to get the best out of it.

so as you guessed from the tittle . I am getting my first android soon and it is the Xperia neo :victory: . However i want to get the best performance out of it. I am a noob when it comes to android lol :crying: but i have done a bit of research into it. Im a wiz at using computers etc and fixing them but when it comes to Android...What i want to do is :root my new phone , Get it to ice cream sandwich and then overclock the phone . However after watching many videos etc and researching on this site . I am confused . So just wondering if anyone can dumify it for me so i can do all of this . It will be a real big help since i have wanted to get a android for years and hearing about what you can do with it makes me feel ecstatic ( previously owned a blackberry and now i hate it , sold it) . Super Stamina in JB - Discussion about porting

Guys, i just saw a review of the new stamina mode in JB on Xperia Z. It has some very interesting features and many ways to be configured to save battery life. Not like the one in ICS where you cant change anything.
I was wondering - is there any chance this to be ported to ICS for our NovaThor devices? It will be very very nice.
Devs, what you think?
If you can extract the app from the Xperia Z rom then I will try it!
Actually, Stamina mode presented in Xperia P JB leaved rom. So you can take apk from there or wait for JB

Hahaha, this is very strange. That means that if someone here make it work for us - is a better developer.
Can someone compile the kernel with the support for stamina mode? If so then I could easily port it! We only have to add the stamina mode service in the ramdisk! That would however require unlocking the bootloader! But we could use an unused service so that unlocking isn't needed! Need more help from someone who knows better on compiling kernels
