im running the droid RAZR utility and i get my phone in AP fastboot but when i try to start the sbf it sits at "waiting for device" and does nothing. i installed the drivers that the utility came with and enabled USB debugging on the phone but still nothing.
Im currently running black widow rom
my computer also doesnt even show my phone is plugged in but its charging...
UPDATE. Now im stuck in ap fastboot with "Boot failure" what now?...
UPDATE 2: Im using the older razr tool (the one that puts u back on the .173 or w/e instead of the .181 and so far its not getting any errors.
UPDATE 3: well got a boot failure again...
After 7 hours straight I solved it. Thanks for no help everyone.

We got different Timezones, so maybe some Users, that would help where just sleeping or on the way. Sorry, but we work and sometimes got stuff to do in real Life...glad to hear, you fixed your Problem by yourself.
Learning by doing (& searching) is the best way to keep things in mind > my usual way for new stuff

Mer
are you putting the phone into, charge only mode before you start the root script?
for 2.3.4 you can use one of three methods
petes one click
zergrush
motofail
all should work
make sure you have unknown sources and USB debugging checked in phones settings under applications and development(which is a subsection of applications settings menu)
also
you might want to make sure you have the correct Motorola drivers installed on your computer
there are two different sets for 32bit and 64bit depending on your computers operating system
as mentioned above, check moonshadow root tutorial, follow every step to the letter
if you get an error message from the script u choose to root with please copy/paste it here, it will help us figure out exactly where it's going wrong if possible
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
also
give up on gingerbreak
it will only work on froyo (go figure lol)
trust me tho
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Pete's one click is the best. Make sure you have USB debugging check under applications>development. And then when you have your phone plugged into your computer make sure it is on charge only mode under USB settings. Another quick setting that usually helps is make sure under applications you have "unknown sources" checked. That's all I got bud.

good ol starting rsd protocol = SBF that bad boy and bring it back to life!
question before you do that, are you on the Verizon Droid x2?
(also, you will want to have at LEAST a 50% fully charged battery before you sbf flash , you phone WILL NOT charge when on the,M, screen, so either use someone elses phone to charge your battery or use an external desktop charger)
rsd PROTOCOL support is for flashing sbf, you have to pull battery to get out of if you don't flash
not sure why it got hot
replace battery what do you get?

Did this and it is amazing. I wouldnt even care to be stuck on it. I had no idea what i was messing. I dont see how the real update can be any better.
Just make sure you flash to .181 root only dont install anything else. Then do as instructed. Zero problems battery life is good, camera all works.

Yeah sorry. Just thought it would help some people find it. I had a hell of a time. Mods move to where ya want i just feel like most of us cant find what we need. This is an extremely good build im very happy with it. Yes its for the cdma xt912....
If anyone needs help message me.
Easy to do once you get back to stock .181. I had to use matts utility to get back to stock. But RSD should be fine just get root then do exactly as instructed.

Yup!
I've been on the 75 leak for months, and gotten so used to it that rolling back in hopes an official build would be released soon is now miserable... 181 is great GB wise (I ran the 75 leak before 181 was released). But I miss my ICS setup SOOO badly... It's only been a few hours, but good GOOGLY MOOGLY I miss ICS...

Depends on which leak he's running... 84+ are stuck with it for now. I used Matt's tool (modified RSD) to roll back. You can find the tool by searching here, or on droidrzr.com. If I weren't mobile, I'd post a link, but I'm out & about. If you can't find it, I'll post a link later.

ICS was great. Got my Maxx now so I'm happy about that. Moto Blur's Gingerbread isn't bad though, compared to other GB Roms (I didn't care for sense much). ICS will be here soon, I was patient enough to wait for my Maxx, so waiting for an update for it should be no problem.

Razr XT910 is GSM (for Europe)
Razr XT912 is CDMA (for USA)
Razr MAXX coming in both versions, the only difference is in the battery,it have 3300mAh unlike those above, they have 1780 mAh.
Razr MAXX HD is a completely different phone, you have a different thread for it.

I am trying to make it stop downloading but no matter what I do it still downloading.

Hello... I need your help. I am serious trouble.
I just installed safetrap 3 and rebooted into recovery.
In recovery i backed up my stock rom and after backing it up, i decided to boot back into system and i am stuck in a bootloop.
I have cleared cache but it still gets stuck.
I also did factory reset, but it still wont boot.
I need ur help.
I am left with 55% battery
In RSD LITE I accidentally flashed wrong image from my XT 1080 to my X2 and this popped up. Is it a paper weight now? I'm sure a few of you out there have seen this screen a few dishearting or the excited times. Any luck it can be restored?
Could try flashing with moto-fastboot see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3113554

I have moto-fastboot on my computer. I'll try it when I get back home. Thanks. I've always followed your work on the X2. This is the first time I couldn't figure something out on my own using your files.
No luck. Moto-fastboot flashes the files but cannot get past the screen from 1st post. Have to use Fastboot cable just to power on to that screen. Of course Motorola has been no help, since they no longer provide support for devices they do not currently manufacturer. Did get rid of the unlocking dialog though. Just unplugged cable
Any other ideas? I would love to get it back up and running again!

You already did the impossible.
Looks like you flashed a non DX2 bootloader over the locked original.
Which should not have been possible.
