yes im lazy in testing something which i will not use
just asking it to those who tried and maybe it would be useful for my moms phone,
i prefer the power button than the proximity sensor,
power button - finger usage
proximity sensor - battery usage

I have been using it and only uses 2MB and doesnt drain battery

[Q] Will the flashlight app from dInc1 run on the Rezound?

I noted HTC didn't include it... Can I copy the apk from the
dInc1 and expect it to work? Both are running GB 2.3.4 so
I thought it might.
If not, is there another LED flashlight app I could instead?
Thanks

I use tiny flashlight + LED, free in the market.
It works but will not change brightness, it is stuck in the lowest mode. I use the flashlight in switchpro widget.

It actually works if you tap above the button more towards the head. Wrong sizing is why.

Thanks for the tip. I might try and play with it and see if I can get the sizing to work right. I made it into an installable apk for now so it is easier to deal with.
Edit: I pulled the flashlight app from the Sensation and the picture is sized right, but it is the same issue with having to tap the flashlight head. It works though.
I just use this one instead...

A millions thanks. I works fine. I hope that someone fixes the alignment eventually, but still very useable. I much prefer the three different levels of intensity to the other apps that only do one.

+1. Too many useless features for me. I just need the flashlight sometimes.
im sitting here eating beakfast so I cant do this , maybe later, but in the mean time, couldnt someone just edit the pixel density of the original app. im almost certain that it can be edited to fit the screen. Ill look at it in a few hours
This is what I use. Has 3 different light settings and a bunch of different features. Its simple yet very handy. I even use this over the stock Dinc app also, a lot better IMO.

Phone has been awake all the time
As you can see in the graph, your phone has been awake all the time, you might have an open aplication that is using the CPU, i suggest you to see if you can check for that and close the app
Other battery saving tips:
Lower your brightness
Turn off WiFi as well as Bluetooth, and GPS
open up your dialer and input this *#9900# and then disable fast dormancy (Big battery boost!, also fast dormancy is useless so dont worry)
---Don´t forget to hit the thanks button if this helped you
so how about mediaserver?
I don't know what is that .how to close?

Result - is working smoothly
ROM - i think rom dose not matter about this app...
am tested on stock 2.3.4
you're saying if you disable this sensor, the rom becomes "smoother"?
correct me if im wrong, but isnt the proximity sensor responsible for turning the display off while having a phone call?
so if you disable this sensor, the display wont turn off, eating up battery and if youre unlucky youre pressing some soft-buttons onscreen with your ear while talking.
