So, with the stock root rom, with a few different roms, and even with different kernels and radios, I don't ever receive incoming calls (though if I make an outgoing phone call, it works just fine).
Anyone know if this is something I can fix? Or is it an issue on Verizon's side? They had to go through three 4G SIM cards before finding one that my phone could actually activate with, so I'm wondering if that's the problem.
Did you set up call forwarding? Try calling *73 as this disables all calls to be forwarded, and try again.
You know what? I think you might be right... before I got my Thunderbolt, I had an OG Droid set to forward calls to a different temporary number...
My phone is going through a restore right now, so the INSTANT it boots up, I'll be dialing *73.
EDIT
VICTORY! It must have kept the call forwarding on the line. Thank you SO MUCH.
you're welcome.
Like the title says, everytime I flash a new one, or if I flash ziggy kernel especially I cannot get voice calls or data, i get radio interface shortage errors when texting ect, i have to do the ##3282# reset about 5 times to get anywhere, any theories or suggestions? I haven't seen anyone else with this problem and it started when I flashed xron ROM a few nights back..
Are you a google voice user? Are you gsm or cdma?
I only use google voice for voicemail, its Sprint CDMA
Did you update your radios AND firmware? I think the file was radio firmware nohboot or something like that?

It doesn't happen to me EVERY time, but I find myself having to go through the whole reprovisioning and re-setting data thing a lot more than I would prefer to. Hell, I've had 6 of these handsets since release date and I've had to **** around with this issue right out of the box on EVERY one! Love the phone but cmon HTC....wtf!! They really screwed the pooch on this phone, lol.

My problems are usually data problems. As far as losing voice, that happened once after using one of the older "superwipe" files floating around. Took a whole Saturday to get it back, had to get Sprint involved...boy was I pissed! Been using XRON superwipe lately and it's doing the trick!
Try ##scrtn# from dialer then enter your msl. After it reboots let us know if that works.

Still didn't help, when I go to more info on the radio interface shortage error the error code is 67,wasn't that the code a lot of people were getting after revolutionary first came out?
Call sprint and have them reset on their end....and good luck

I might have to do this, for some reason this actually happens after every single reboot, had to clarify that.
This happened to me too, even with those resets you are talking about I wasn't able to fix it. You have to call sprint, they do something on their end, guide you through the same process you are talking about, and then it works. Dial 611, tell them the error and any error code you have. Apparently they are familiar with it because they know exactly what you are facing and know how to fix it without doing any research or any other diagnostic steps.
I don't think this problem has anything to do with HTC, or the phone itself. I think it has to do with Sprints Google Voice integration. I use GV for voicemail only and I have this problem every once in s while. Next time it happens, try making the call using GV. If it works you know this is your problem. For some reason, even though you have it set up differently, GV will take over. This is a completely separate issue from the error 16 that a lot of people are getting with this phone. If it is an error 16 a simple call to Sprint will fix it. If it is the GV integration thing, then it is much harder to fix and rebooting to recovery, wiping cache and dalvik will sometimes fix the problem. Also, reflashing the kernel will sometimes fix it too. I haven't figured out a definite way to fix it yet though. It seems every time this happens, it takes something different to fix it.
I'm actually not even setup to make calls on google voice, I went directly onto the voice. Google. Com website and changed the settings to voicemail only and turned off all other integration.. Can it still be interfering?

Yes. Mine is set up the same way and when this happens if I choose to ask me every time I make a call in the GV app settings and choose GV to make the call it goes through, but when I chose do not use GV it won't work. I get a message that says, "I'm sorry, we are unable to complete your call at this time. Please try again later" and that's it. Since the Google Voice integration with Sprint I have noticed that no matter who you are calling you must dial 1, then the area code, then the # even if it is a local call.
Hello there,
Thanks for taking a look! I'm on the Note 3 (SM-N9005).
At a certain point I couldn't make calls anymore also messaging seems not to be working
When I try to make a call it stops after 3 seconds and says call barring is active.
I've tried stock rom, reset + erase data. Clean cache. I've tried the MMI codes and through there it says it isn't activated?
Also tried setting my network too GSM only and rebooting.
Still nothing would work.
As a sidenote: incoming calls and messages are working. Also my 4g isn't deactivated so it would be weird if Vodafone would just barricade my outgoing calls right?
I'll call them tommorow to be sure though.
If anyone has any idea on how to get this fixed I would really appreciate your help!
I used to have the same issue and decided to reflash my ROM and reinstall apps one by one and my phone stopped having this issue but now is back. The issue is that whenever my screen is off and I receive a call my phone rings for a second and then it stops, when I go check who called there's no notification or log about the call. Anybody having this issue. I know it must be a app issue but have no idea which app.
The only app I have installed that could mess with it is GravityBox but I looked trough all the settings, disabled it and uninstalled it and it still does the same problem. But I am pretty sure it has something to do with it.
I also looked into the Call Forwarding option and disabled it but it still does he same thing. This is driving me nuts. I can only receive calls or see whos calling by having my screen on!
As the title says, as soon as I start a call it ends and when someone tries to call me, they get the voicemail saying that I'm not reachable and I get an SMS saying that someone has tried to call me while I wasn't reachable, but I don't get any call popup on my screen.
Tried flashing every modem firmware, wiping cache, switching from google phone to stock, turning off volte but none of those worked.
Please help me, I've been struggling with this problem for three days and it is impossible to work like this.

Check your APN settings and if necessary correct them to what your carrier says they should be. I had a similar problem and that was the fix.
If that's not it, try your SIM in a different phone if you can. You might have a bad SIM.
Heyyo, here's an APN list that might work better for you since it is updated by Google.
