Sorry to bother, but I am looking to buy this unit, and have absolutely no luck in trying to identify this unit by any other names. I want to be able to upgrade to GB, or higher, and do not want to be stuck with an un- upgradeable orphan. Thanks to anyone who can help.....back to your original program....

Hi,
Ok, don't waste time trying to build AOSP on Windows. On your VirtualBox just install Ubuntu and then you're almost prepared. Get report tool and start playing.

[Q] A silly question but just in case...

Apologies in advance as I am just new to Android ROM development and still trying to get my head round how it works.
I've got a build environment set up which allows me to compile and run the boot to Gecko emulator. In theory, fingers crossed, that should allow me to compile Android.
If I can compile Android. Would I be able to put that on my phone and it would run or would I need to get the device drivers for my phone and merge them with the compiled Android image?

[Q] Rooting Kobo Vox after Android 2.3.4 update

Although numerous methods exist for various Android Phones/Tablets, because Kobo Vox is technically an eReader, I think it gets overlooked.
I have rooted my machine when running 2.3.3 but now it has force upgraded to 2.3.4, none of the processes seem to work (e.g. SuperOneClick, DoomLord).
The script errors refer to inability to write to various Tablet folders and hence updating fails; I wonder if the OS upgrade has somehow 'locked' folders in read only mode?
This question probably relates to a lot of different Android devices but, obviously, I only need Kobo specific info.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
