Hy, I've same problem as you did. I've uninstall and reinstall PC Companion and Flashtool like you said. But the problem still exist. It says ADB server is out of date when I root it using doomlord toolkit.
Could anyone help me here?
Thanks...
It's very easy, just start task manager then Processes and kill all adb.exe processes

The problem is caused by adb.exe not closing on it's own, so when you do something that require adb, it's just sitting there outdated. When you try to do something else that require adb that's why you get that. Just kill it with task manager before do something.

You have posted in driver related thread,
What is the reason to make a new one?
Sony tab section becomes real trash...
Oh and when you ask for something you should give as much details as you can, starting from your win8 version - x86 or x64..

Hey guys. Im having trouble rooting my wt19i Live Walkman Android.
Noob question, but i cant find any other place to ask - could someone point me to a useful thread, or a new method
I have attempted the DOOMLORD method, but the zip files always fail (from all 3 locations ive downloaded them from). The Eroot method doesn't pick up my device. And the Flashtool method cant work out the drivers.
Any ideas would be great!
THanks

Both of these were hopeful. it seems i have a problem with my zip tools. but im using 3 different tools (winzip, zip and IZArc)..... All have either 'CRC header" problems or 'CRC failed - File is Broken'.
Any ideas?
Im soo sorry for being the biggest n00b. but none of the other websites point out what this issue is! The FAQ's on these zip tools are not proving anything. FYI, the file it always has a problem with is the runme.bat
Use my pack, just disable antivirus
For what do you need zipping tools? To unpack?
Try downloading the files again and extract them using 7zip (maybe reinstall it) and try it again

No it's not. You should be able to root without unlocking the bootloader
Try installing PC Companion or SUS and Flashtool (drivers) again for the drivers and try all methods like mentioned in my guide, eroot or cydia impactor
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.3
Try installing pdanet
Try installing pdanet software on your pc and your phone as well,it will provide you with necessary ADB drivers for your phone :good: and then try to use flashtool. pdanet is basically a thethrng software for android install it to use flashtool.
1. Install .exe file on your windows pc and .apk on your phone.
2. Then Go in the drive where you have installed the flashtool, go to drivers and install x10 mini drivers.
Now flash the kernel Your phone is rooted  ,
You need to unlock your bootloader first do this.

I created an account just to reply to you. Yes there is a way.
What I did was use VMware to run Windows XP
I had to use an older version of the unlock tool - the latest unlock tool open but not run - the older unlock tools ask you to upgrade. The one I used was a 2.something
Once I figured that part out, it unlocked immediately - first try.
Hope this helps

Understood - I wasnt able to find anyone with a MAC solution as you have to run the MiUnlock tool
As far as I know, there is no way to unlock with a MAC - Windows is a must. The whole unlock process is pretty poor with this phone imo.
You can try it on Wine, but I never hear anyone who actually use the unlocking tool on Wine running on Mac or Linux distros.
Your only proper solution is to grab another PC running Windows and use that tool there, or emulate Windows inside VM like on posts above.
Regards.
